Went to the brand inside selfridges at Birmingham. Always enjoyed yo sushi in the past but unfortunately all the rolls are now pre-made and chilled. I ordered a futomaki prawn sushi which was cold an... Mehr ansehen

Lloyd served us today at York Designer Outlet. Really helpful, professional and knowledgeable about the rewards and loyalty app. Would definitely come back as a result!

Never again …
The two stars are for the lovely male service person who tried his best to make the best of a bad situation, not for YO Sushi. I can safely say, I will never return to any YO after having been a regular customer for many years. The same applies to the rest of our family. The experience has completely lost its flair despite the belt being introduced again. There were maybe two measly plates going round the whole time we were there. Most of all, we would like to have human contact as it used to be in the past. Place orders with humans, not some App, watch the chefs in action, and enjoy everything that has made a dining out experience special: social contact. Yet another example of the decline in our quality of life caused by digitalisation. Besides the impersonal touch, the food was average, no more little pots of sushi gari or water taps at hand. All little Soya sauce plates were dirty and when we asked for a jug of tap water, the jug looked as if it has never been washed. The waiting times were appalling and half the options on the menu not available. It was an absolute overpriced and unpleasant disaster from every aspect. Dear CEO of YO Sushi, you might want to cut costs and staff, go along with the digital age and possibly even AI, but this will cost you a lot of your customers who are unfortunately required to keep a gastronomy business alive.
Horrible experience
Today was the first time I bought sushi at Churchdown's Tesco and I regretted it! I bought the Sushi Sharer and it was horrible, the rice was horribly hard, the flavour is bad, the consistency of the rice is strange. I feel totally disappointed, and I'm certainly not going to make the same mistake
I was so shocked at how bad were the…
I was so shocked at how bad were the staff manners at the Tesco Warrington kiosk, and then I saw the Trustpilot reviews and realised how not uncommon this behaviour was. The problem is not how clueless they were about the ingredients in their products when I asked if it was halal friendly but the rude attitude and how they didn't want to make any efforts. To both questions, a staff member replied "I don't know", then called another colleague who direct me to the website allergens list, which was inadequate with my query and added that she doesn't think they used any alcohol derived ingredients in their products or soy sauce. With great pain I tried to read the miniature ingredients list on the bottom of two of the packagings then picked up one of the soy sauce packet to read that it contained ethanol! None of the staff member bothered reading two lines to check. The fridge was fully packed, still 3 of them kept blocking the access to it, while talking about how there was no space and not bothering that they were unable to answer my query and that I was waiting behind them for a long time and wasn't even able to access the fridge to check the ingredients by myself! The brand is bringing foreign food but doesn't bother training her staff or catering for various ethnicities.
Brutal “Customer” Service
Got food from the ready made fridge with a drink at CPH, sat down in one of them many empty seats to eat, and was told to leave cause I didn’t order off the menu…even though I had just bought and paid for food from them. Total bs and the food is basic af not great sushi. First time I’ve been and last time I ever will.

They no longer put food on the conveyor belt which is one of the reasons I come here with my grandson.
The restaurant wasn’t even a quarter full the length of time we waited for food was ridiculous even refused one dish because of the length of time it took.
I’ve been a massive fan of yo sushi over the years but can state I will not be returning.
Vastly overpriced

Really bad service. Really bad.
Delivered week old food pretty much
My order was delivered perfectly but was stale and couldn’t even finish it. Was £22 and was obviously not made fresh. It must have been at least a week old with how stale the rice was. Really really grim

good service and food was really good and delicious!
So disappointing
The whole experience has gone. All in the name of covid of course, but ultimately it's very clearly a cost cutting exercise. No chef as such, just someone placing refrigerated rolls on a plate and squirting with bottled sauces. No conveyor belt. NO service, something like 4 serving staff there when we were the only table and service was still bad. No free water like the old days. No wasabi or ginger. No glassware! Plastic cups these days. Every single aspect of the place felt cheap...... aside from the bill and compulsory service charge.
Obligatory tip :-|
Overpriced, slow, and to add insult to injury, you're forced to pay 7.5% tip before receiving anything - not the fantastic experience it used to be!
Has anyone got home to find that they…
Has anyone got home to find that they had been double charged for their meal. This happened to me last Wednesday at the central York branch and regardless of being told by the manager that the money would be refunded straight away and be in my bank account the next day, five days later it is still not in my bank. Quick to take charges out but not so at putting it back. Must also agree with other reviewers whilst our food was edible , the portion sizes have decreased and the QR ordering system doesn’t work. I was also offered a gift voucher by email for my trouble, this has not been received either. Terrible service.
Appalling Customer Service
I visited your kiosk in Tesco Bidston Wirral. There was no salmon nigiri salmon and Avacado mixed selection out. So as the sign states I asked the member of staff if they could make me a box up while I continued with my shopping. I was made to feel like an inconvenience and told no they don’t do that despite what the sign stated. I have also emailed you regarding this but I have had no reply which considering the customer service I was given in store doesn’t surprise me at all.
Yo Sushi
Yo Sushi - Manchester Arndale Centre.29.05.23
I booked a table for four people online for a special occasion. The table I booked was for 4:30pm. Had a confirmation email that my table was available from 4:30 until 6pm.
We travelled to Manchester and got there early to do a little shopping before our table was ready. However at 4:10pm I noticed a miss call and listened to my voicemail. It was a member of the Yo Sushi staff telling me to get there quickly because they were taking last orders at 4:15 and closing. I was astonished with this and called them back. I explained that I was at least 15 minute walk away and queried why they were doing this. I received a flippant response to say it was a bank holiday and they were closing early. I asked to speak to the Manager and got a similar response and not even an apology. My daughter and her friend managed to get there in time and had something to eat. But they felt they were being rushed with staff more concerned about going home. £45 for quick snack and didn't even get to eat with myself or my wife. I feel that we've been treated with complete contempt and this is totally unacceptable. At the end of the day I had written confirmation them and accepted my booking and at no point was I advised that the restaurant was closing early.
Shockingly bad food
Shockingly bad food. The fries were disgusting, imagine yesterday's McDonald's re fried twice. I had beef teriyaki which I can only describe as tiny pieces of a beef type pork scratching substitute burnt to a crisp. Horrible. 2 of us had a meal, fies and a can of coke for £27.00. Absolute disgrace. Never again and we left the fries. I'm now off to spend more money to find something we can eat. Honestly I'm so angry right now.
Compulsory Service Charge!
Paid my bill to realise when I got home that you added a service charge onto the bill. I didn’t know this because I didn’t get a copy of the bill (received an email of the bill when I got home)
Please note, tips are optional, not compulsory!

Today for the first time went to YO in Tesco in Bidston on the Wirral and bought sushi plus Korean Chicken noodles. The sushi rice was awful , so dense and glutenous and totally tasteless, just awful. The Korean Chicken was SOOO sweet I had to stop eating it. The staff were awful, did not even ask if I needed any help choosing, more interested in bi…ching about another staff member in the Heswall branch. WHERE WAS THE SASHIMI.. too much sweet badly cooked rubbish.
Yo Sushi have lost the plot since…
Yo Sushi have lost the plot since covid. No more choosing food from the moving conveyor belt now you order through a QR code! Portion size has drastically dropped. A small bowl of (Chicken Teriyaki + Rice) came to 10 pounds. Before you used to have a plate of Chicken Teriyaki and a brown of Sushi Rice (not the cheap steamed jasmine rice but sweet vinegary sushi rice produced in Japan for about 6 pounds. Now it is a lump of unfavourable and what seemed burnt chicken smeared in a horrid sauce. The way Yo Sushi is treating customers now is making it head for administration and closing down.
Yo Sushi Bluewater
Yo Sushi Bluewater. What a sad experience! What has happened to the portion sizes? The salmon is transparent it’s sliced so thin. Pathetic to think you can fob customers off with this. So overpriced now and so not worth the money. All the telltale signs of a failing restaurant are in progress. Substituting large pieces of carrot in the seaweed salad, underweight pieces of sashimi, the restaurant was totally empty when we visited. The staff however are lovely but have all changed since my last visit showing that they’ve clearly seen the light and got out before the storm hits. So disappointing as this was my favourite restaurant.
SACK THE HEAD CHEF
The head chef (Scott) at the Trafford centre Manchester is an absolutely disgusting human with a vile attitude.
He shouts over the counter at the staff, Swears at them infront of customers but yet he’s the one who burnt every one of our dishes
The staff on the other hand are amazing and always have been. GET RID OF HIM NOW
Worst and poor service ever
Worst and poor service ever! Never advise YO sushi…. Especially in Mirdif branch👎🏻 foods are not fresh. Staff are rude. Very poor service 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
