We had a bathroom designed and installed by Wickes. there's a few issues but the main one being the shower screen doesn't fit our sloped ceiling. We have had nothing but the run around. Refusing to honour the Consumer Rights Act - that they have recommended an item that is not fit for purpose because it doesn't fit. The fitter installed it anyway, we couldn't open it properly so water leaked every time we showered. The fitter said Wickes would sort it out. He got rid of the box and he disappeared so we are stuck.
We were made to pay for another screen which has finally been fitted after much chasing. promises of when it would be delivered, confusion over what was being delivered, failed delivery dates and the new fitter telling us he has had to fix some issues from the previous fitter before wasn't great.
However Wickes refuse to come and get the old screen - even though their own website states: (for appliances or bathroom products including showers, taps and fitted mirror cabinets, these should not be uninstalled; and we can offer an onsite repair where appropriate to avoid removal and replacement. In such instances, please contact our customer service team using the Contact Form) with proof of purchase and we will offer you a full refund, replacement or an exchange (including any delivery charge). Alternatively, you can arrange for the faulty or defective product to be collected by contacting our Customer Services team and completing a contact form with your order number and details of the product to be returned. We will collect it at no expense to you and either provide a replacement, process a refund (including any delivery charge) or repair the goods."
We were told to purchase too many boxes of tiles, more than double the amount actually needed. Again the communication of trying to get these collected and back to store was painful. They were finally collected 2 weeks ago. But the driver wouldn't take the shower screen as well. Then, radio silence.
Finally I went in to Wickes to ask about our refund and nobody knew if the tiles had arrived at the store or not. they decided they would issue a refund but that was a week and a half ago now and nothing has turned up in my account so who knows.
and don't get me started on another measurement they got wrong meaning our radiator had to be moved. which we have had to pay for. That's not additional unforeseen works - that's your measuring error. Had we known we would have to move said radiator, we would have asked to reconfigure the bathroom cabinets. Once they have been paid (including the fitter) it's a case of 'I'm alright Jack' and you get passed from pillar to post.
Who is Project Manager? Wickes say they can't help with issues, the Fitters say its up to Wickes, and the Complaints Team keep referring back to the Design Team who got the measurements wrong in the first place. how can such a big company have such poor communication?
I am beyond frustrated, I don't write Trustpilot reviews, but nobody is listening or wants to help the issues that have arisen from Wickes.
I have spoken to many different people within the complaints department as the person dealing with my case is away. I have had the same conversations over adn over with different people, and I am so over what should have been a nice experience - investing a lot of money to get a nice bathroom.
Before you spend a lot of money on a Wickes bathroom or Kitchen, go and check the hundreds of Facebook messages in groups and on Reddit from desperate people who have been left in the lurch by Wickes. I wish I had done this research before booking in with Wickes. I feel a nuisance to them rather than a customer just trying to get a refund for items they recommended and that don't meet the description they sold me -
over 10 hours so far spent on the phone and emailing Wickes is ridiculous. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
Rant over, that was rather cathartic.
On advice, we have given up on getting help from the Store, and are going to Citizens Advice and the Furniture Ombudsman to try and get our money back - we have paid for 2 shower screens now, nearly £400 down plus the tile refund if that ever shows up.

Costas really knows his stuff and very patient in what materials we chose. Also the actual shop is lovly quite a lot on show to help decide to . Will be buying the stuff from here

Was all going very well and my review would have been wonderful until it came to having items collected for return. Then it all went down hill. Arranged collection, all confirmed and booked. Waited In and time ticked on with no phone call on the day as promised to give a rough time if collection. So I called them only to be told it had been cancelled. No telephine call to advise me or simple common courtesy. Just cancelled wasting my day waiting in. So, so discusted.
Won't use them again to have any large items delivered or collected. Plenty of builders merchants around, will find one which is more professional and respectful with their customers time.
Now left waiting again for another collection. Let's hope they can get their act together this time. Will update if let down again.

My wife and I were buying various items at WICKES in Hertford, Hertfordshire and when we got to the checkout we were greeted by Nassi on the till. She was polite, friendly but more importantly greeted us with a big smile. Nice to be made to feel so welcome, even in a big store.

I popped into Wickes to sort out some decking and Abi was fantastic. She helped me calculate how many 4.8m timber boards I’d need for the space and recommend the right pack size of decking screws so I didn’t overspend. She also pointed me towards a good quality decking oil for when I complete my installation. Friendly, knowledgeable, and saved me time and money

I went in on Saturday to have a good browse as I'm thinking of getting a new kitchen. I was approached by a lovely lady , very unusual name Sepideh I think , I hope i've spelt it right. I told her I was browsing for the moment and she left me to it, but said if I needed any help to just come and find her. I did need her and and she was extremely patient with me as I'm so indecisive. I asked her so many questions and not once did she pressure me and she made me feel so valued as a customer. My husband and I have now decided what we want and shall be ordering soon. Thank you Sepideh, you and your team were fantastic

I went into the store today, looking for a new kitchen and bathroom for my mum who is now blind. The store manager, I wish I got her name and the showroom staff were so attentive and understanding to her needs I now feel confident to bring her in for an appointment to get them planned with her. I was surprised to learn wickes now do the sola panels too so I’ve just had that conversation with my mum, she’s very excited by this! I’m so happy I went in to just take a look today. I know my mum is going to be in good hands and wickes can install her project too.
