Received a faulty freezer-customer service a waste of time
Received a faulty freezer, engineer visit to confirm faulty, I received a report confirming the fault, now I am being told because I didn’t show the engineer the proof of purchase (email invoice from appliances direct) whilst he was at my property, although he told me that I can email proof of purchase to hotpoint/whirlpool to enable a replacement freezer to be sent, customer service are now telling me that another engineer has to visit and confirm the faulty freezer again, although I have the original report confirming the faulty freezer and confirmation that the proof of purchase has been received, I have never experienced such a waste of time customer service experience.
It seems that each department will not and can not seem to work together, only for each department seeming to blame each other.
This has put me off purchasing hotpoint/whirlpool products ever again,
Worst service possibly ever received
My cooker is less than a year old (purchased around September/ October 2023) ive had to have two repairs since then due to manufacturing deficits (cooker lid falling down and making clicking noises/not staying up) i have been burnt twice whilst cooking due to this! Last repair on the lid was December, i now have the same problem which was reported at the start of march. Since then two engineers visits have been booked in to repair and on the morning it had been called via text! No phone call just booked back in for another date without confirming with me. Guaranteed they will then cancel this appointment without notice again!
Don’t purchase one of their appliances
Contacted to discuss problem with my washing machine. Booked engineer who said he turns up and no one in. 90 year old mum was in but there was no bell or knock to let her know he was here. Trying to contact someone to discuss issue a nightmare. Will no be buying another appliance from them again
A Joke and an Embarrassment
Partner got text messages advising appt for 5th April cancelled with less than 24hrs notice and after being messed about, finally found out that Hotpoint rebooked for 12th April. Now considering that my partner has waited a week already, it is a joke! Then trying to actually speak with a human is non existent, and your chat service is pitiful and not fit for purpose. Customer Services, hey Hotpoint do you know what that is?????????????
Prolonged resolutions, phonelines useless, agents no help. Procedures need changing.
Can’t get through on the phone half the time. 5 visits down now (3 repairs) and machine still leaking. Now they want a “confirmation visit” despite the same engineers coming each time claiming to know what’s wrong and hardly doing an inspection but just replacing parts at will.
Zero communication
Zero communication, except order acknowledgement. I would not recommend ordering any parts from Hotpoint directly as they do provide updates on shipping or ETA, and trying to get through to a digital system or person to get an update is near impossible. Extremely disappointing for what is supposed to be a market leading brand.
Very poor service
Very poor service, no calls being taken at 10.10am therefore you have to revert to the chat which starts with a robot asking you questions before you get to speak to a caller. Couldn't find my policy and were not willing to look advised to go back to policy provider - more interest in finding out if you have all your appliances covered (looking for business - I am not surprised)

Awful telephone and online help service. Two faulty tumble dryers. First one failed within a month, 2nd one non functional after 60 days.
Currently we have no tumble dryer and cannot get through to anyone to assist.

Was sent a time slot and the ability to 'manage my booking'. I wanted to change the time so i clicked the link. But kept getting the whirring circle of doom and no alternative time slots avaialble. I then tried online chat and that wasnt working. So i then rang the number supplied to make changes. After listening to 2 mins of recorded questions when i selected '2' to talk to someone when prompted it then cut off the call. So all 3 options to change didnt work. So i guess the engineer will turn up and i wont be in. Sorry Mr or Mrs Engineer...I tried
"Chat Bot" useless
"Chat Bot" doesn't recognise the correct information when you give it to it and doesn't have the capability to refer you to a human when it can't deal with the problem and then cuts you off. So pretty useless.
Awful company lousey service
They can answer the phone! After waiting 15 minutes I got a voice. Once I said what I'd rung for no-one spoke again despite my calling out. 3 minutes later I was cut off. Ridiculous and frustrating! No care for the customer at all. I could here everything going on in the background but no-one continued with me!

Vil aldrig anbefale andre at købe et whirlpool produkt. Vi købte en vaskemaskine i august 2023. Siden har låsemekanismen været i stykker tre gange, og nu, den tredje gang, er der også gået et lejre i vaskemaskinen. Vi har flere gange været i kontakt med whirlpool, da vi er frustreret over, at vi kun har kunne bruge vaskemaskinen den halve tid, fordi vi har skulle afvente reparation så mange gange. Ved den anden gang, hvor låsemekanismen gik i stykker, fik vi at vide at hvis det skete igen inden for 4 måneder, vil vi få en ny vaskemaskine. Da det så skete igen, inden for 4 måneder kontaktede vi dem, for at få en ny vaskemaskine som de havde lovet os. Alt vi blev mødt med var, at de skulle sende en tekniker ud og lave den igen. Vi er så frustreret over, at have betalt penge for en ny vaskemaskine, men ende med at stå med en vaskemaskine, som vi ikke har kunne bruge den halve tid, fordi den altid er i stykker.
Vi kontaktede igen i dag whirlpool, og alt vi bliver mødt med er, at de sender sagen videre til nogle højere oppe, som kan tage en beslutning. Da jeg så spørger om jeg ikke kan få et nummer til dem der tager beslutningen, bliver jeg mødt med et nej.. Utroligt at man ikke kan få fat i dem der rent faktisk tager beslutningen..

Stop using this system you have in place and deal with customers personally. Life is to short to spend on your system utility useless.
On line booking didn't work
On line booking didn't work, went to online chat and advisor just ended conversation without confirming with me. Didn't even try to resolve the issue of booking a call out.... Very poor customer service..

Very knowledgeable advisor who put me at ease, so great to be able to speak with someone and use of video on phone very good, and all on a bank holiday too!
