Daniel Becerril did an outstanding job to process the loan application efficiently & seamlessly from completing the application through closing. He was honest & provided information we need to make a decision & answered questions we have from completing the application, terms of the loan & closing. Daniel was available anytime if we need information even on weekends. I definitely will seek Daniel's help if we need to refinance our HELOC.

It took some time and a lot of convincing on my end to not give up on me. But after a lot of back-and-forth and a few weeks, we were finally able to get the loan through. I just think it would be much simpler and less confusing if there was less people involved. And in my case, there needs to be other options for verification of income, other than plaid and W-2s.

I financed a boat purchase through a HELOC with West Capital in mid-2026. The product itself was good, a 20-year fixed with a 5-year draw period at a competitive rate in a credit situation a lot of lenders wouldn't touch, and I'll give credit where it's due there.

The problem was the funding timeline. I was told the funds would be available within two days of signing. I signed on a Tuesday and expected the money that Thursday. Instead, Thursday brought a message saying nothing further was needed and it would now disburse the following Tuesday. That Tuesday came and West Capital's own email to me said 3 to 5 more business days. I was then told the wire had gone out that day, but my bank had no record of it while I was sitting on a payment due in under two hours.

I had a hard closing deadline on the purchase. I ended up calling the seller myself, asking for an extension, and putting up additional good-faith money to hold the deal together. When I finally reached the Loan Support team directly, they told me plainly that the timeline I had been promised should never have been given.

The funds landed the next morning, six days past the original commitment, and the loan has been fine since. Three stars because the product delivered and the process nearly cost me the purchase. If you use West Capital, get every funding date in writing and plan for it to slip.
