Warning: According to a Google Search conducted today 10 January 2020, the boss and principal owner of this group of companies including Weatherseal Home Improvements, was a Director of 104 limited companies: This person has resigned from 100 of these companies, 7 have recently gone bust, 4 are still active, and 17 are listed under the ominous heading: 'the current situation is unknown'.

To complicate matters it appears FIVE Directors connected to him (meaning in some cases those persons who have volunteered to effect a business rescue after he has resigned or dissolved his relationship with some, or maybe all of these 100 companies) are themselves the Directors of 438 companies: e.g. (Director A) was a director of 120 other companies (Director B) 121 companies (Director C) 44 companies (Director D) 71 Companies (and Director E) 82 companies. Out of this total of 438 linked-directorships, 226 of the companies these men have been associated with, have been dissolved, are dormant or have stopped trading. Surely supervising and controlling one, two or three companies takes time and effort, so one must question 'how on earth can these 5 men actively and successfully supervise 438 companies'? Perhaps this explains why they have had so many client complaints and why 226 companies they managed folded?

According to an October 2019 press report: This group of companies t/as The Kairos Group and many other names appears to be in trouble. Major parts of this business empire have shut up shop and the staff dismissed. Another press report states: Cheshire-based Kairos Group sold its products through its own subsidiary double-glazing firms t/as Penicuik Windows, Weatherseal Home Improvements and St Helen’s Glass and 27 other names. The Kairos group previously collapsed in the year 2018, its assets, stock and tools were bought by a private equity business called "La.......?. This asset purchase company is owned by the person who's the subject of the opening paragraph in this review, the guy whose just resigned, dissolved or liquidated 100 companies, some of whom owe the public a fortune in lost deposits and outstanding unresolved faulty workmanship claims. Some of the 226 companies on the stopped trading list have unpaid debts of over £500 000 and more. The total debts for the Kairos Group are unknown but it could exceed £-million of pounds. Telephone calls to companies in the former Kairos Group/ t/as Weatherseal Home Improvements Company, including the Clearwin Group and Entu Group went to voicemail on Friday. Cheshire-based Kairos said in a statement that it had stopped taking orders while it “reviewed its options”. (Apparently paying their debts is not one of them) Earlier last year, an investigation by the BBC1 show Watchdog alleged that customers of Zenith Home Improvements, part of Kairos, had been pressured into buying windows. If you have paid them a deposit, or are chasing up a window repair or door replacement my advice is bleak, to say the least. Be warned - steer clear of any NEW company offering windows or home improvements from Phoenix House, Unit 7, Road One, Winsford, Cheshire. Do not give them a deposit, and do not fall for the alleged SHOW HOUSE special discount offer.

I had my front door installed in September this year. Not long after i fitted the door i couldnt lock the door which then ended up me paying a locksmith myself to repair. Weatherseal have gone into liquidation. Not the best customer service.

Having written by email to company regarding 2 warranty claims in September and havingjust returned to the UK, you can imagine my "NOT" surprise of "NO RESPONSE" as was the previous case earlier in the year for other warranty claims. It seems the "HARD NOSED IGNORANT ABERDEEN INSTALLATION MANAGER HAS CUSTOMER ISSUES". Which is why I ended up dealing with the more affable Motherwell Manager, which I requested in my most recent emails, but no response from either.
Guess it is the Trading Standards Route to get satisfaction

Sales person came round with pressure tactics pushing to sign up there and then and telling lies (we later found out). They put their boss on the phone 'to give us a better deal' and he was worse. He was rude and pushy. This bullying tactic did not work on us but it probably works on more vulnerable people which is shameful. We went with another company who were completely different in their approach and much more trustworthy.

These absolute scumbags have gone bust so please whatever you do, don't give them any money!!!

A very professional team of installers and did the whole job in 1 day. Although they cracked a tile in bathroom and didnt say, main door frame needs adjusted as it sticks when closing and noone has been back to fix this. Rep phoned to ask if the new windows and door had been installed yet, this was 10 days after they had been. Obviously doesnt keep upto date with his customers orders and the status of the order.

I am very pleased with my new front door from weatherseal.

Workmen arrived on time on date agreed, efficient clean and tidy. A double act (poor apprentice). We are happy with the new windows.

Best service, really helpful rep, left in no doubt about anything appertaining to the purchase, installation, delivery date of our new windows. The actual installation couldn’t have gone any smoother and the team did most of the tidy up. Would highly recommend Weatherseal for windows to anyone thinking of replacing or upgrading.

Everything was done seamlessly no problems whatsoever

Worst company ever
Got my windows 5 years ago.
Had to get a builder out as water was coming in through the wall below my windown upstairs and flooded down stairs. It turns out my windows have never been fitted properly. Called weather seal and they say the company was sold and they just bought the name and brand and i no longer have cover.
Looking like its going to cost thousands of pounds as my insurance won't cover as it comes under faulty workmen ship.

This isn't the only problem i had with them, They bought out a wrong window to instal and took 6 weeks before they even got back to me. Also had them out to fix handles on windows and my door. Glass pain slipped down so had to get a full new pane.

Stay away from weather seal as i already have had them out about 6 times for repairs.

Just to add if you look more into this company and on company house they do this a lot change ownership but if u look at the directors it’s more or less the same. So if you want windows with no guarantee this is what is going to happen as they flip the company so many times you end up with no guarantee I also looked into the financial side and one of the directors is also who the company owes money too mmmm get you thinking.

I won’t rest until I get this sorted now going to take legal action !!!!

they fitted my windows a few years ago and I now see the condensation in between the glass on one window. so I called up to be told the company went bust and I am left with a problem so never again they were quick enough to take my money .
