UPDATE: Since this review Weatherseal have contacted me and sent someone out to remove the streaky marks. The windows are now OK and I am very pleased with them.

Had new windows fitted yesterday and installation team were great, however whilst putting my curtains back up this morning I have noticed lots of grey streaky marks on the frames. I tried washing these off but some still remain. Also, when placing my order I asked the Sales Rep, and also the Surveyor, if my current blinds would still fit and was assured they would. Unfortunately the top rails are about 1 or 2 cm too long and I am now having to replace blinds (which were only 2 years old). Not very happy!!!

I recently had windows fitted by Weatherseal. And I must say i am thoroughly overwhelmed and impressed with the work that has been carried out. The whole service I received from the first call right up to the actual fitting has been superb. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for home improvements.

We had the last of our windows replaced by Weatherseal recently. The installation team came when they said they would and were pleasant and hardworking. They worked diligently to install the windows and left everything clean and tidy when they were finished. Our windows and doors have now all been replaced by Weatherseal and they look fantastic! Thank you Weatherseal!

Had new front and back doors fitted by Weatherseal on Monday. Our installer Andy MacLean was super efficient and courteous. I am extremely pleased with the finished product and the excellent service we received during installation. Highly recommended.

I got new windows and doors fitted 2 weeks ago. The fitters Peter and Stuart were on time every day and very tidy workers. Everything I ask to be done was completed to a very high standard. I would recommend them highly. My new doors and windows have been finished to a very high standard by the fitters and make my house complete. Thank you.

Right from the word GO! Sarah Brown talked us through the complete operation, so we decided to go ahead. And we were so glad that we did!!
When the time came for the windows and door to be fitted, sure enough, true to their word, the fitter, Ricki Kilgour, was at the door, and boy! what a professional he was!!
There is one thing we would like to add. You hear all these horror stories of companies who rip you off, and tradesmen who don't know their job, so we would like to say, Anybody looking for windows and doors, would be a fool not to choose WEATHERSEAL, if you want proof, COME AND SEE OURS!!!

Work was carried out quickly and to a high standard. Operatives were friendly and polite and took great care to leave no mess on completion of the works. Highly recommended.

Excellent service throughout the whole process of ordering and having windows fitted. Everything was explained carefully and completed in the timescale specified at the outset. The fitting team (Job Worth Doing) did a very good job, and fitted all 7 windows in one day! They were quick, efficient and cheerful.

happy with end result and price paid - but sales pitch was a bit of a "circus" with discussions about nearby bus stops etc - and confusion about price structure re admin fee and credit/finance discounts - was also advised that i would receive some card hat had a cash back facility for fuel,utilities etc but this has never materialised

The sales agent applied lots of pressure even after we told her we are not convinced this is the right time for us to take on the "very good offer". She advised us to seal the offer with an admin fee of £399 and cancel within 7 days if still not sure and verbally confirmed a full refund of the admin fee she asked us to pay to seal the offer.

I cancelled within 24hrs and was absolutely surprised that the admin fee will not be paid - now her word against our word. I asked to be put in contact with the sales agent, Manisha Valand but was told she is busy with other clients and can't talk to me again. I personally thought she was friendly and a nice sale agent but now understands better, she was only doing her job of selling and pressuring us to pay the admin fee under false pretense.
***DO NOT PAY ADMIN FEE TO WEATHERSEAL and expecting to be refunded, even if the sales agent gives you their verbal confirmation that it would be refunded.

I am still waiting for my £399 refund. I insist Manisha Valand was fraudulent in her actions to get admin payments from us and confirming refunds within 7 days.

Having had 1 window fitted, I found that like Bob and H above the salesman was very pushy and I was charged £350 admin fee ! The fitters were efficient and courteous; but I would not recommend weatherseal or go back to them again.

My elderly mother was duped into buying 3 windows for £4,500 by high pressure sales techniques and a salesman who quite disgracefully talked about security and safety of the windows, nobody could break in because you can't be too sure these days (this despite my mother living in a 1st floor flat that already had double glazed windows). When cancelling within the 7 day period, they are 'refusing' to refund the admin fee despite this being contrary to the consumer contracts regulation 2013, section 34, subsection 8. I'll be taking these charlatans to court. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!!!

I feel I have been totally conned by this company and am prepared to take them to court. On Sunday I was visited by a young salesman to quote for a new bathroom window, he quoted me a price, £1636 which I said was slightly over my budget but included everything including the admin fee of £295. I paid a deposit of £452 which included the admin fee and was told I'd pay another amount when the surveyor came to measure up later in the week and then the final 50% of the total cost on completion which would amount to £818.
The surveyor phoned to arrange a convenient appointment on Monday morning and quoted a completely different amount of money that I'd have to pay him - I queried it and he informed me that the admin fee was over and above the originally agreed quoted £1636 which meant that the window was now going to cost almost £2000 - definitely not what was agreed or understood on Sunday when I spoke to the salesman. I then said in that case I wasn't prepared to go forward with it.
He said someone from the sales team would contact me to cancel the order. I then had a visit from a manager who tried to persuade me to go ahead if he waived the admin fee at a "personal hit to himself"
I said Id lost faith, felt I'd been duped and wanted to cancel , he informed me that I'd get a full refund.
Today , Tuesday, I've just checked my bank account, the £452 has been taken from my account, I phoned to ask when I'd be reimbursed and was told I'd get a refund MINUS a £295 admin fee!!!!
Not what I was told by the manager and in fact it means I've been duped out of £295 because I spent an hour of my time on Sunday being persuaded to part with money for a window at a price which had hidden additional costs which were never explained to me!
I am furious and intend to take this further, having spoken to Citizens advice, this company is in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
My advice is - stay away - use a local company and make sure you have a witness to what is agreed

Weatherseal replaced seven windows in our home yesterday .They phoned the day before to ask if it was still ok for fitting that day .The installers arrived when they said they would ,on time which is unusual in this day and age , They started at 9-45am and had the windows finished by 6-30 pm and may I add 3 of the windows are really large windows .The installers were Job Worth Doing , and I would take no notice of some of the reviews about this company. The team who fitted our windows Stuart ,Peter,Dougie and Ross were first class and the finished job was superb.In the month the European Games were in Glasgow these guys deserve a Gold Medal for politeness ,hard working and putting the customer first.Leam and Margaret Stangoe Larkhall.

We recently had fascias and new front and back doors replaced by Weatherseal and are delighted with the result. The sales person was very informative, the doors were competitively priced (this was our third quote) and we are really happy with the quality of the product. The fit team were great too. We will be looking to replace our windows in the next couple of years and will be getting the guys back out again. Great service.
