Really good

We rented a boat for a week and we were very pleased with the service from Starline

They kept us updated at all points before our cruise date and when it come to the big day they carefully explained everything to us in addition to explaining the features of the route

Also the boat tutor was very helpful and took the time to explain the boat features to us

Well what can I say straight off from day one Keith and Theo introduced us to our boat were extremely thorough in showing us how everything worked then took us out onto the water for a quick demonstration on how to steer and control our boat we then had seven fantastic days on the Norfolk Broads in a very equipped boat definitely recommend definitely rebooking again

I have hired many narrowboats over the last 40+ years and never had a problem. Recent experience has been with Black Prince and ABC - both excellent. However booking through Drifters has been problematic.
After booking I got a text from a different company (Waterways holidays) the following day saying my boat was not available. After confirming the boat was still available on the Drifters website, I called Drifters. They said it was a software error and apologised but could not do anything further. I then booked another boat direct with ABC and gave feedback by e-mail to Drifters. To their credit Waterways holidays called me immediately to explain that Drifters is owned by 9 companies (including ABC and Black Prince) and that Waterways Holidays was their front end. This is all very confusing for the customer but I guess would have been ok had the information on their systems been correct. So, one star for Drifters, but 5 stars for ABC who, when they were made aware by Waterways Holidays, immediately offered me appropriate compensation.

Top experience with a top bloke Aaron . While being professional , supplying all the required information over the phone after our initial contact off their website . Aaron was a delight to talk to with a great sense of humour and he made our booking happen ...... so that s 3 more happy "never done it before" sailors !!

I have just booked our holiday through waterways holidays and can't thank the ladies enough. I booked it on Friday night then got called out to work on Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday so was unable to complete the transaction... the ladies were incredibly helpful and extended the booking to allow me to get it completed. Happy, well mannered and clearly knowledgable staff who are a credit to the company. I hope the holiday is half as good as your staff!

Excellent response from phone call,call handler recommended a holiday which we immediately booked and was very clear and helpful, Abbie whom handled the call was extremely easy to talk to and returned all calls and emails swiftly
Great customer service

This is the first time I have used this company and been on a canal boating holiday! The staff were extremely helpful and gave me some useful advice on some books to look at in preparation for the trip. Booking was easy and it was very refreshing to be able to speak to a friendly person! So far everything has been very straight forward.

Trudi was very helpful and patient in advising me which cruise to take.

easy to book a trip on the date you want to go how long you want and the exact accomadation needed took me all of ten minutes to sort it out
