If I could have put a zero I would of
If I could have put a zero I would of. This is second time I have been into morrisons and the bread packets all had dried up egg all way down the packets. Then we I found one tht hadn't been contaminated got home and was very stale prior it was only the 28th May the date and bread date was 1st June it was like cardboard.
Chemical and tasteless and almost raw.
My latest Warburton’s Toastie Loaf is the worst ever and purchased from my local Morrisons Store. I am sure that this is still awaiting the oven to have it cooked as it appears sticky, doughy and raw. In fact you can still shape it.
Having purchased Warburton Bread for many years albeit of late less so because of the extremely poor quality and tastelessness of the product. Since deviating from Warburton’s some years back I have tried various brands and loaves and yet to find one from the major supermarkets that really tastes like bread, all being doughy, undercooked and goes quickly mouldy.
I have now purchased a bread maker and though the taste from various mixes improves the texture does not and appears to go stale quickly.
I am also trying various farm shop bread but not always available and with the cost of gel to get to these locations makes it very expensive.
Anyway perhaps cutting back on the bread intact is not such a bad idea and may well be more healthy.
Bought new warburtons plant power loaf…
Bought new warburtons plant power loaf as I eat mostly vegetarian foods. Absolutely fantastic bread. Ticks all the boxes. Taste, texture and ingredients. We'll done.

The most awful bread you could buy
Their bread has to be the most unappetising bread I've ever eaten. It's excessively floury, very dry and dough like, with no flavour.
Floury tasting teacakes.
I've noticed that the taste of Warburtons teacakes has changed for the worst. This recently new recipe seems very floury and doesn't toast as well as before. It's almost as if some of the content has gone. Dry, lacks flavour. Won't be buying them again. Yukk.
Would not recommend toastie loaf or…
Would not recommend toastie loaf or toasted tea cakes both very bland dry and un bread like gone downhill warburtons

I'm so disappointed with the quality and texture of warburtons bread . I used to look so forward to a lovely sort slice of bread even with nothing applied on top, it was mouth watering. Guys what went so wrong ,sad face .

What's happened to your crumpets so so tasteless absolutely awful had two so tasteless .Wife had two them commentated on them throwing them away sort it out.
Has something changed to the recipes…
Has something changed to the recipes recently. The crumpets were chewy and a weird doughy texture in the centre. Couldn’t seem to get them crisp. And the muffins were bland and also doughy in texture. Disappointing
Rubbery bread
Why is the blue wrapped loaf like rubber. Has Warburtons changed their flour or method? Used to like the bread but its just too stetchy and rubbery now.
Worbintons has shrunk there lofes no good for real men anymore .
Like everything else things have shrunk & gone up ,the lofe has now shrunk & nolonger is fit for toste makers.so I have now switched brands.
Brilliant customer service
Brilliant customer service
I had an issue with the large farmhouse loaf, phoned the company and it was discussed and passed on to the relevant department very quickly, with vouchers sent a few days later.
Very impressed, thank you Warburtons.
“Traditional” bread making
Bought a small farmhouse loaf. Warburton’s clearly don’t know the recipe. Worst bread I have ever tasted. Calling it dry tasteless plastic would actually be a compliment. Customer service told me they have been making it for over 20 years-I must have bought one of the first batch.
Wrapping unfit for purpose.
I am very disappointed with the waxed Christmas wrapping on the the thick and medium sliced loaves. This week I ordered 2 of each from Tesco and all arrived with packaging open down long side. Obviously the paper used is not suitable for purpose. The loaves were open to bacteria and could not be kept fresh.

Heart burn bread 🍞 two slices heart burn for the rest of the day 🤣
Disappointed crumpets
Used to buy their crumpets all the time but recently they have been tasteless and more dense and rubber like. Disappointed
Crumbs ! What the hell happened to this bread ?!
Across the range Warburtons used to be the largest, finest quality bread range on the market.
What the heck happened to turn it into the instant stodge it is now?
It seems that more attention is being made to what the loaves look like rather than the texture or what they taste like.
It doesn't matter which loaf you buy now as soon as you butter it the slice loses all firmness and turn to mush.
Don't get me started on the Toasties which used the be superb. Take the Super Toastie for example. Yes it looks like a lovely loaf with nice thick slices. 10/10 for pre toasting appearance. Indeed even when toasted the slices look delicious.
Enjoy this moment because as soon as your spread hits that bread it's the end of the pleasure. The bread just sinks and becomes an instant floppy, soggy mess.
Love or loathe it I used like marmite on toast. Not on this stuff because once your spread is on and you apply marmite it no longer spreads but literally rolls like a ball , pushed by the knife, across the surface.
As for the taste of the bread.... what taste? Where did it go?
Another reviewer said that they'd gone over to Tesco's own bread which is half the price of this major brand. They aren't alone. At least Tesco's bakers seem to remember that taste and texture of bread is just as important, more so in fact, than appearance.
Customer service? Where? A while back I wrote to complain about the useless "paper" packaging used for the toastie loaves which is ineffective. Response?.... not even an acknowledgement.
Sorry Warburtons but you should stop paying the Muppets to promote this shocking "bread" on TV and instead sort out the muppets who are baking this doughy mess. Even Miss Piggy would turn her snout up at this!
I'm certainly not wasting another penny on it until you do.
2 excellent Warburton products
I have always thought that Warburton crumpets were the best, they have a lovely texture when toasted and don’t go dry like some. Recently, on my quest for the best shop bought bagel I tried their bagels and was very surprised to find that they come extremely close to the bagels I used to get from an independent Jewish bakery in London.
They are very very good!! When warmed under the grill, they are hard to distinguish from the bagels I delighted in when living in London. They have the right texture and the flavour comes very close.
I highly recommend these 2 products.
I cannot comment on the bread as I make my own.
Warburton Toastie Bread
Recently, it seems, Warburton have reduced the thickness of the slices of their Toastie bread in the orange wrapper. They have introduced a new "thicker" version in a green wrapper, which appears to be the same slice thickness that the orange loaf used to be but costs more. Do these manufacturers think that we are unintelligent?
