Excellent service and product

I ordered a 28 x 28cm cushion as a birthday present for a dear friend. Cushion arrived measuring 20cm x 27cm. It looked a ridiculous size, especially to give as a gift. Contacted Villager Jim, explaining size was not as described on website and to arrange refund. The reply was blunt with no acknowledgement or apology offered for the false advertising and the inconvenience caused. Not impressed! Even more unimpressed when refund issued less 10% for stock handling!!! This is noted on the website but when product sent is not as described, I feel a full refund is the least expected and an apology obviously a step too far! Stupidly, I should've learned my lesson but like others - keen to support smaller businesses and keen for the particular print I had chosen, I ordered an apron as the intended birthday gift. Big mistake!! I can not express what poor quality the apron is, especially for the price. It is made from the thinnest, unpleasant feeling material with poor stitching quality, seams not even straight!! Unfortunately, I had no time to shop for another replacement gift, nor did I want to spend more money on return postage and nor did I want to lose another 10%. Feeling extremely embarrassed, I gave the apron to my friend. I will make amends next birthday. As for Villager Jim, I will never shop here again, appalling customer service and poor products. Had to give one star, ideally would give zero.

I receive the cup today. Packed well, in great condition, new & perfect. Wife loves it. Now I'll buy the Welshie blanket. Thank you...

Never received my items. Did get fairly unhelpful replies to my emails and an eventual refund but certainly would not use again or recommend.

Due to a mix up with my address my order never arrived.I had a swift response from this seller but we're unable resolve the matter. No refund or replacement was offered and they refused to admit they were at fault which was sad really considering the low value of the item (2 pounds)

Ordered a child's personalised plate in shape of reindeer. I was really pleased, and so was the recipient, it is now in new home in Mississippi USA.

I ordered a White Tabby Cat throw in mid November for a Christmas present for our cat to lay/sleep on across a sofa. The ordering process, confirmation & delivery were quick & efficient. The throw is great. Large, soft & ideal to protect the sofa & will keep the cat warm. The cheerful tabby cat design is just like her.

Such a disappointing experience. I ordered a chiffon scarf as a Christmas present. When it arrived the stitching was so shoddy that I asked to return it. There was also a barcode printed across one of the motifs (probably the start of a new bolt of fabric). Scarf duly returned, I had to chase up my refund 10 days later. After a request for proof of postage (which I sent) a refund arrived, less 10%. I asked for an explanation as to why they had deducted 10% on an item that was faulty. The balance was paid, but not the return postage. No explanation was forthcoming.
Now I know this is a small business, which is why I ordered from them. I also recognise that this is a busy time of year. But that really doesn’t excuse the poor communication and complete lack of ownership of the issue. I wouldn’t be writing this review at all if I had received an email apologising for the faulty item (“I’m sorry you’re not satisfied” isn’t an apology) and a prompt refund in full.
It has been hard work sorting this out and what started as a lovely idea to support a small business has backfired. I won’t buy here again.

Absolutely dreadful experience with this company !!! Rude and completely unhelpful if you want to return an item. They kept fobbing me off saying they had sent the refund but hadn’t. I eventually got my refund through raising a case in PayPal. Customer services a waste of time. Do not use this company.

We bought a personalised metal family tree. The quality is outstanding. The value of the product is exceptional. Not our first purchase and won't be our last.

Excellent quality. Speedy service

Bought a German Short Haired Pointer apron as a gift. The material was cheap polyester, not traditional cotton ‘canvas’. The quality of the apron overall was poor especially considering the price. The hem stitching looked like a child had sewn it. They accepted the return but I’ve been refunded £6 less than it cost me (10% plus a restocking fee!). I’ve just queried this as I would consider the product faulty but they won’t refund me in full nor will they pay the postage as they disagree it is faulty. We like to support small businesses, we are one ourselves but this is a very disappointing customer experience. I would not buy from them again. I have given them the opportunity to reconsider their stance before submitting my review but they have declined to provide a refund so I think it is only fair to warn other customers. They understand that poor reviews can damage a small business but sadly they are content to risk their reputation rather than refund £6. It isn’t a lot of money but as a customer I shouldn’t be out of pocket after being sent an inferior product.

Product didn’t look like it did online. Memory sign ordered for bereavement gift. Font in personalised name unreadable as printed so close together. Contacted seller who was unwilling to replace. Gift unusable and went in the bin. Would not use seller again.
