Lucky to meet Joel and visit the store!
On travels to Sydney - I thought I'd check out the store to have a look at all the ukuleles I've been eyeing up online. It was a great opportunity to play as many as I wanted and choose the right one for me. Super Impressed with the assistance, no pressure, and a great deal. Stoked with bag of goodies, picks, capo, and more and socks! I can highly recommend - I'm very happy with my purchase from UkuleleMate.

The website had literally every ukulele under the sun and all the prices were extremely competitive. The bonus pack that came with each purchase (bag, accessories, etc) is a really great incentive and I eventually purchased from this site purely because of that. The uke itself is great quality, delivery was fast, and I really liked the videos on the site showing how the ukulele actually sounds. Post purchase, I also really appreciate the micro educational contents I get via email every now and then. I've been watching them and find them very useful. I didn't have much success with the guitar in the past, but I've been making so much steady progress with the ukulele and have really enjoyed playing and singing. I'm starting to think that I should try the guitar again now. Keep up with this great website, and who knows, I might come back for another uke soon. One can never have too many ukuleles.

Prompt delivery, competative prices. My only complaint and this isn't about this buisness, but more about the way the whole musical instrument retail industry is going, is that we really need more actual shops that stock a good selection of instruments that you actually sit down and play and try out before buying. I know you have videos and audio samples and you can return it if you aren't happy, and you can read reviews etc, but honestly I really did my homework and I have bought so many instruments this year that I have had to either return, resell, give away, or simply put up with even though I'm really not entirely happy with them.. I actually didn't buy any of these Ukuleles from this buisness, only strings-which were all fine. I don't have a problem buying strings or stuff like that online, but actual instruments themselves really need to be tried out properly before buying. Anyway if someone opens a shop here in Brisbane with a good selection of ukuleles, I'm there as despite buying six in the past month or so, I haven't been happy with any of them. I have been playing music for 35 years though so I am a bit fussy. Probably buying online is okay for a beginner who doesn't really understand tone and feel and all the stuff that people who have been playing for a long time understand. Anyway open a shop where you can actually sit down and play before buying here in Brisbane and I'm there!
