Transparent Communications is a leading UK supplier of IT, AV and networking hardware, providing products from leading brands including Draytek, Drobo, Netgear, Epson, Casio, Samsung, Smart and Acer. The company was founded in 2002 as a family business based in South Wales and specialised largely in a range of communications equipment including phones and bluetooth headsets. Over the coming years Transparent steered itself more to the business line of products such as routers, switches, IP phones/cameras and network storage (NAS) devices aswell as moving premises to Oxfordshire. After a successful acquistion of the company in Jan 2011 by brothers Steven and Richard Warwick, the company was moved again to the outskirts of Portsmouth on the South Coast and has experienced dramatic growth, culminating in the launch of a brand new web-site and an expansion in its range of products from 4,500 to over 40,000 products. Despite the current difficult economic climate Transparent has continued to enjoy success and growth over the past 12 months making us well placed to continuing offer great value and service to our customers throughout 2012 and beyond. Competitive pricing and lightning fast…

Competitive pricing and lightning fast delivery. Have to say, very impressed with the service levels.

One minor thing - I did find the Web site is painfully slow, which doesn't reflect how good you guys truly are.

Used them for the first time

Used them for the first time. Quick dispatch and delivery and responsive when I inquired last item in stock via their web chat app. I will be using again in the near future and update if necessary.

Purchase was ok

Purchase was ok, delivered early in the morning next day.
Had to use PayPal to pay using American Express, they could have taken direct Amex payment, I felt that was a hassle.

Great products and prices

I ordered a cabinet from these guys and the whole process couldn't have been any easier.

Website was easy to navigate and place my order, I was kept up to date all the way from clicking the purchase button to when the delivery driver was outside and the product I recieved was perfect for what I needed.

First time using these guys but it won't be my last.

Don't offer full refunds.

Purchased a monitor but wasn't compatible with my work laptop. Returned within 14 days but they would not give full refund. Customer service very slow.

Edit. Their reply illustrates why this is a company to wary of.
I purchased privately, not as a business, to use with my work laptop. I tried it, it didn't work, I wanted to return it immediately, simple as that. I've had to send numerous emails requesting where my return is up to and only then received a reply, usually with an apology for lateness. I only wrote this review in frustration because once again its been 5 days with no response to my last email. They've had the monitor back for over 3 weeks now, still waiting for my refund. Very fast to reply to bad reviews though I would note.

I'm really sorry you feel this way, however, your review is untrue and misleading. We do offer full refunds to customers all the time. However, usually as per our T&Cs if someone orders for business purposes you are not entitled to a 14-day cooling off period and the monitor had been opened and used during the time you weren't aware that some features were incompatible with your laptop. Ordinarily we would not have been able to accept an item back in this condition at all, but we agreed to do so with a small restocking fee, since the item could not be sold on as new given the condition it was returned in. Furthermore, I can see numerous emails going back to you on your return daily, so I would be unclear on what part of the service you felt was slow.

Ordered a printer ....

Ordered a printer that I thought was cheap. They got the price wrong and would not honour it. OK, they would have made a loss but not hacked me off.

I'm really sorry you feel unhappy that we could not honour what was clearly a pricing error. The £300 printer you ordered had been subject to a price feed error and we could not supply this to you at the price of £11. As I'm sure you'll understand, there are laws in place to protect retailers from immediate bankruptcy in the event that thousands of orders came within a short space of time, before the error could be corrected. Sadly we were therefore unable to accept your order and informed you immediately and offered to help find you a suitable printer which we would also discount the price of, but you refused this offer.

Would advise not to use,Bucket shop and not a very good one,amateurish,definitely not to be used again,even one star is too much for them.

You ordered with us on a 4-5 day service. The goods were shipping directly from the manufacturer so we processed your order quickly and efficiently on a next day service. DPD attempted delivery twice, both times carding you and taking a picture of your front door to confirm they had attempted delivery. After failing twice, DPD put the parcel on a return to sender. At this point you then emailed us twice accusing us of running a scam to defraud you of your money. I genuinely don't understand how you could come to this conclusion given the efficiency at which we processed your order, provided you with tracking information, used Paypal to give you peace of mind and confirmed that the courier had twice been to your house. I'm afraid as well as we can process the order we cannot ensure that you stay home when the parcel is due.
