After payment I read the reviews, to my dismay, so I went back and asked for a refund as I thought it was a scam. I received a full refund the next day.

This is a scam
This is a scam. Do not subscribe to this site. Pet microchips do not expire.
Absolutely shocking vicious replies to email and they are not a genuine company. Your chip details DO NOT EXPIRE this is not true. Please don't pay them! Fear based scam
Absolutely, shocking company
claimed that my animal was at risk because they were going to delete all my pets data. If I didn't pay 39.99 now that my pay would be at risk. Very sensationalist
turns out they're a company that have been well warned about on many, many sites just do a search and you'll see they're not real
when I replied to them and said i thought they were scamming me, they sent back some very, very vicious emails calling me Karen.
They really are quite nasty. I nearly lost money, they scare you into thinking that your database entry for your animal will disappear. This is not possible. Entry is protected by uk goverment. No money needed!
They are sadly, a less than honest scam company,
I am very upset about this, and I am working with the BBC And Martin's money tips in order to make sure that this is further highlighted.
I am in a fortunate position to be able to do that, but many of you aren't so I wanted to warn you here,
Dear trust pilot, this is a genuine review, and I am able to provide the emails which are very nasty from the company. Oh, also made light of and took the Mickey out of people with dyslexis in the most horrific way. I didn't have my glasses so i didn't check my spelling and was using a small screen, they used this to rip me to pieces. It was actually very vile. And had i been dyslexic, an offence under the disability discrimination act.
not a very nice company.
Use ai rather than people to send very , very nasty messages to anyone that dares to ask them if they are genuine or not , do not spend your money with this company , you will not get it back report report report

Oh I very nearly like others here fell into the trap of paying to upkeep my pets microchip number..I got to payment, and i just had a niggling doubt in my mind that I did not have to my knowledge have any of my pets registered with any company called "Trackapet"..and i also knew once registered with a company its for life..my pets were registered at the same time, and only 1 pet name showed on the email,so i backpedalled and came here to see if there was a scam running and indeed there is..as others have said how the hell have these scamming SCUM got so many of our details?
It definately was one of the more convincing ones i've come across..I think people care so much for theyre animals they leap straight away to keep theyre registration, insurance & vet details up to date if there becomes an issue and thats what these maggots rely on!!
These SCUM want flogging with 1 inch thick whips dipped in fresh dog turd!
Karma is real..these scum will get theirs of that i'm certain.
The are Scammers
The are Scammers, be aware and don’t fall in their trap! A microchip has no expiration date! I have reported them
Scam
Scam. Very concerning they have all my personal details and looks very legitimate.
NEVER USEDS TRACKAPET.
My chips for my cats were not through Trackapet.
Why should they ask me to renew when they are not the company i used.
This is a scam
This is a scam, not sure where they got my details but they had a lot of information about my pet. Do not pay
This is a scam
This is a scam. If you receive an email saying your pet’s microchip is expired or unregistered ignore it. Report it. I have no idea how they have all my details / very worrying.
SCAM - Microchip
Trust pilot - Include an option for zero stars!!!!
This is the second time in 4 years I have received this scam e-mail.
It is very convincing and I very nearly paid the first time. However, I remembered reading somewhere that these microchips do not expire and then did some more research and found out it was indeed a scam.
Like others that are now posting on this review site I'm very concerned as to where they got my details.
I have reported the scam to 'National Cyber Security Centre' and would encourage others to do the same please.
**BEWARE - SCAM**
**SCAM** If I was able to score zero stars I would. They have sent a scam email me saying my pet’s registration is about to expire. If you click on the link they they want to charge you. The email itself was very convincing as they have my details and my pets details. However, a quick check reveals this as a scam. Beware.
SCAM!
SCAM!! Have been contacted about one of my cats saying her details had expired, I know they were registered for life so thought I'd check it out and I was right. I have more than one animal and she was the last to be registered. The worrying thing is they have the correct details for me, where did they get them from though?
Scam do not pay any money!!
Scam do not pay any money!!
SCAM!
SCAM!! I almost paid them.
THANK YOU to others for confirming this is a scam. I was extremely close to paying. I'll add to the details listed in another review (see other post & thank you!).
The website is listed as Private, but Network Solutions shows a phone number (I won't post it because these are clearly criminals). Follow the number and you find many other websites connected to pets, travel to Cuba, job search, and lawsuits where they are accused of ID Theft. There is a lawsuit filed by Microsoft against them that you can see online for numerous malicious sites. Of course they are listed as John Doe. I can't add the URL, but if you find the phone number on Network Solutions, google it and it will lead you down this scary rabbit hole.
This site I new. It was registered: 2025-09-02
These are not good people.
Scam - avoid!!
Scam. I received an email this morning saying that my cat’s microchip registration has expired and I needed to renew. When I followed their link this was going to cost £19. I very nearly went ahead except I was suspicious as to why they were asking for renewal after it had expired and not before. Also the microchip number was 3 digits out. A bit of research showed it to be a scam. What concerns me is that they have all of my details and also how many people have been caught out. It’s a very convincing email and website.
