I have found the academy very frustrating to deal with! They advertise a book of cheatsheets as being available to purchase in print or online . I opted for the online copy and paid a fee which was debited to my credit card but no online link followed. They insist on you watching a long drawnout video which is supposed to last 10 minutes but actually lasts for an hour and a half. If you watch to the end you are supposed to be provided with an on line link which doesn't happen.
Despite complaining I did not get a satisfactory reply.

Didn't meet my expectations, selected wrong picture and poor picture

Superb and comprehensive webinar with a first class presentation. At no time were we either "talked down" to or left bewildered by too much complexity.

I didn't ask a single question or make any comments - there was simply no need for either. Thank you so very much Cherry.

Today l attended a "Webinar", presented by "Permajet, The Photographic Academy" and presenter "Cherry Larcombe".
Everyone was welcomed and made to feel at home between the hours of 9.30 to 10.00am, and the presentation began spot on 10.00am. Throughout the entire presentation "Cherry" explained how to create artistic and creative flower photographs. Throughout this period Cherry explained all her shortcuts and techniques in down to earth language. Yippee!!!
Cherry welcome questions throughout, finishing with an open Q&A session.
Most certainly worth it value.

An excellent workshop by Leigh Preston! I've done lots of monochrome photography over the year and had numerous salon acceptances for some of my mono images, but I still learned a lot from this.

Colour Management August 20th 2022

The pace and content were pitched at just the right level, I came away knowing far more about printer and screen calibration than I did before. It was great to see how different papers can alter the look of an image. It was also useful chatting with other delegates about their experiences and learning from them too. Highly recommended, I hope to attend more courses in the future.

Getting a good an reliable photo print can be frustatingly difficult. Colin and louise took us through the whole process - calibrating monitor, profiling printer and final production, including choice of paper - which few people talk about. Well worth the time and money

An excellent course delivered by Colin and Louise. We were guided through the process of printer/ computer settings to achieve the best printing and through choosing the correct papers in a stepwise, easy to understand format. The ability to ask questions as we went along was very helpful. Alongside the great conte=nt the course was delivered with a modicum of humour, adding to a super and informative day.

A very good course run by two professional people who knew their subject. I decided to go on this as I was wasting a lot of paper and ink as the photos were always too dark, But Colin suggested a different setting when calibrating my screen and it worked, thanks Colin.

A most instructive, useful and enjoyable day. Colin and Louise were excellent hosts and instructors, providing great information and answered question directly. The technical elements were so well handled and explained. The catering was first class. As well as the course it was very good to be able to talk to the hosts and other attendees. Gets max stars for me and I wouldn't hesitate to attend another workshop. Permajet now have me as a customer for life.

Very informative and constructive workshop on black and white printing. I learnt so much in one day, the knowledge and expertise of the team was excellent. Would definitely return for more workshops.

What a brilliant constructive day. Excellent facility where all attendees made truly welcome. An excellent balance of theory and practical instruction. The visit to the local church for picture taking was most valuable with guidance on camera settings. I have also done a Black and White Printing course via Zoom, also excellent. This company know how to ensure their customers get the best out of their products.

Great venue. Great communication before the course. Very impressed by the effort to get the vegetarian lunch for my wife right (it was great, thanks).

The course itself was well paced, well structured and presented. Simon shared a great amount of knowledge in a very accessible way. The practical trip was very worthwhile and the afternoon processing session was extremely beneficial. Could not have asked for more.

Seeing Images and - Lets Talk Mono were both excellent and will really help to improve my photography and understand how to get the best prints with the correct paper.

Thoroughly recommend venue and workshops

Due to lockdown, the face-to-face Printing with Confidence seminar was moved a couple of times, but was definitely worth the wait! I attended on 7 August 2021 and was initially concerned the day would be too high in technical content. Both Louise and Colin were not only knowledgeable, but patient and answered everyone's questions really well. The content was succinct and explained printing workflow in an easy manner. By the end, I had a much greater understanding of how certain papers compliment certain types of photographs - this was demonstrated with photos we had sent in. As a result, I have resolved to print more and with confidence that support from The Photographic Academy is available well beyond this training day! Thank you Louise and Colin!

I have not been a photographer for long but was lucky to discover printing and then Permajet inks and papers. I have always found the guys to be really supportive and helpful. With this in mind I booked on the printworkshop Saturday 7th July.
I learned some new tips for Colour management but the steepest learning curve was what a difference a paper can make.
We had our images printed on 'our choice' of paper and then papers suggested by Louise and Colin. I think all of us there had our eyes opened to the potential impact paper choice can make on an image.
I think we will all be experimenting more in the future.

I attended the Print2Perfection workshop which was well organised and extremely informative. The technical aspects were dealt with clearly and simply and this was followed by a hands on session demonstrating the effect of different paper types. Highly recommend.
