Really friendly staff , lots of equipment available and very clean

The gym group at chesterfield is an amazing place for everyone. All the pts there are friendly and helpful especially laurynas. He’s helped my mum massively through her journey. It’s a great place to start at I would really recommend it

Whilst I appreciate these gyms aren’t man all the time you would expect at busy / peak times there would be somebody in even from a health and safety point of view
I’ve been a member for several months now and not one member of staff has acknowledged me either vocally or even with their eyes or a simple smile that’s when you can actually find one
I’ve emailed the company twice about cleaning issues on equipment that other people have used and whilst they haven’t bothered to clean the equipment down after use there is no paper towel or clean spray for me to clean the equipment down which is very unhygienic.
I have never received a response to my feedback regarding this matter
A lot of the time I entered the gym and I met with an A-frame with signs on it saying how was your experience? Go online and give us five stars almost pleading for a good review when if they just did the basics like acknowledgement being friendly and helpful people would want to give a review because they would be pleased at how the gym was managed.
These are basic management failures
Disappointing Gym recently, Constant problems getting in and out of the gym using the turnstiles. The App constantly doesn't work well with it.
There aren't enough staff around when things go wrong. But seem to be doing their best.
The gym itself is looking a bit tired.
Definitely needs more benches.
The gym users are friendly and helpful.
The changing rooms are good and showers clean.
Overall - Good! but please sort out the entry problems.
The Gym Chesterfield is looking old. I have been going for a few years, but left for 6 months and came back today for personal reasons. Firstly let me say I have complained about this, along with other customers before I left the last time to the manager and the staff and nothing ever gets done. There are 2 spin bikes on the main floor near the entrance, they are in atrocious condition. They look so aged, and they both broken in so many ways. The staff are clueless, and both myself and other customers have complained about this so many times. Therefore the reason for this review as I have given yourselves so many chances to fix equipment and its never done properly, as they will fix the bike in 1 way and break it in another, and then you need to spend 10 minutes debating with the staff about this as they clueless to how they should work. I come to the gym only to use the spin bikes, and the one thing I use is all broken. Oh and the staff's answer, go use the spin bikes upstairs, so I must sit in the dark spin bike room upstairs alone because of this ? You send these questionnaires out about giving comments and so on about the gym, we constantly complain on these questionnaires about these spin bikes and nothing ever happens, so your own internal reviews and questionnaires are useless. Time to move to another gym!

However the lack of machine maintenance lets it down particularly in the case of the spinning bikes available near the entrance. I raised this issue some 2 years ago and although they were brought up to standard they have been allowed to lapse. They cannot be adjusted and the display is flawed.
Shame because there must be other bikes in the building in working order.

After being with this gym for many many years, I have today received an email stating my my membership will be increasing by over 22% in 3 days time. Whilst I understand the need to increase due to current circumstances, the 22% rise is huge!!!! Where is the added value? The gym is going to be no different tomorrow to what it was today. On top of that, you have notified me on Friday morning when my monthly payment is due out Monday, giving me no chance to cancel in time, disgraceful notice period, had it been going up in a month's time, I would probably have stayed, but the 3 days notice, taking away my choice means my account is cancelled permanently. Amazing customer service.....not
The gym group is good value for money and has a good range of equipment. However it is frustrating to find some people(mainly young women) monopolising items of equipment while spending most of the
time looking at their mobile phones and oblivious to others waiting to use that station. How did our youth become so self centred. The gym would work much better if mobile phones were banned.

When members and even the staff are beginning to wear jackets and coats inside because of how cold it is, it's a problem!
Been at this gym since it opened and in the past few months it's slowly gotten worse to a point I'm looking elsewhere.
Freezing gym, lukewarm showers and ice cold air blasting you when you get out of the showers have made it an unpleasant experience all around and if things don't improve it'll be another couple of members leaving.

Great gym, equipment and the staff are great. Always there for any queries. I feel its a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere with knowledgeable staff. Miss the yoga sessions and hope this will be reinstated in the New year 🤞

The gym is overall good, it does need some new equipment and does look abit tired. Far too many cardio machines and overall far too many machines out of service. Its a shame the sauna has gone would be good if returned. I will be moving on though due to lack of equipment and I have to train first thing or very late to avoid waiting for machines. Is a good gym and I've enjoyed training there but will be moving on.
