Cake still hasn't arrived due for delivery on 22nd December

Not told until pm on 23rd it would not arrive until 27th
I live in Australia so no chance to order a new one

I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience you've experienced with the delay in your father's 80th birthday cake. I understand the importance of this celebration and the frustration this situation has caused. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment and that our contact hours are reduced during our businesses closure over Christmas.
Unfortunately, we exercise little control over the delivery process once the cakes have left the bakery. While events such as this are rare, they are frustrating, nonetheless. We hate for our customers to be let down at the final stage of the process.
I have checked the DPD portal and can see that your cake has been delivered and will be absolutely fine for your father eat.

Problems placing orders
Every attempt I made trying to place an online order proved difficult but after several attempts for each order I was finally successful. Help sought from customer services for the original order was very efficient indeed! Delivery notification for the second order was not received. The first & third were fine.
All recipients say the cakes look lovely…I will comment again when I have feedback as to how tasty they actually were!!
Recipients replied: The cakes were ALL absolutely delicious!!!

I keep coming back to The Gift of Cake because the service is impeccable and the cakes are fantastic! I’ve lost count of how many cakes I’ve sent now, but the most recent is to our daughter for her birthday I sent the stunning seasonal chocolate cake to her and she’s thrilled. I’ve sent the champagne cake several times. Everyone is always over the moon! As a final thought, the cakes and the service are great value for money, very affordable.

Thought the writing was going to be on the cake but instead was just on the card which I could do myself at home without spending extra. The cake was a lot smaller than it said on the website

Cake was promptly delivered to my son on his birthday before he got up, even though I placed the order on the eve. Very much appreciated by both of us. He liked the red velvet cake very much.
