Adam did a very comprehensive drain survey on our new build property following a drain blockage involving our next door neighbour...a very unhelpful builder who informed us that only our house was linked...turns out otherwise we are head of chain but others link to next door and we are not directly linked to them ....just shows get the Drain Guys in to get to the truth about your drains not the builder

I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience.

An engineer came to my flat and spent around two hours trying to unblock my drain but was ultimately unable to fix the problem. I understand that people deserve to be paid for their time and I appreciate that he tried his best, but I was still charged £200 despite the drain remaining completely blocked.

To make matters worse, when I called afterwards, I was told it would cost a further £500 for the company to return and carry out work from outside. That would have meant spending around £700 in total without any guarantee the issue would be resolved.

Thankfully, I found another local drainage specialist who identified the problem immediately, and had the drain fully unblocked within 30 minutes. He charged just £70.

Based on my experience, I feel the pricing was excessive, especially considering the issue wasn’t resolved. I was left feeling that there was little concern for finding a cost-effective solution. I would encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any expensive follow-up work.

Michelle could not have been more helpful, was knowledgable and came straight back to me after checking the engineers schedule to confirm the appointment for first thing the following day - great service on 24 December!

We had a problem with rat noises in the house, so I investigated the drain finding it full to the brim with gravel and soil (apparently that's not how its supposed to look!). I called the Drain Guys after seeing the good reviews and I'm glad I did, booking them in to do a camera survey and clean out the mess.

Dan was brilliant, super friendly and helpful, explaining everything he was doing along the way. The drain was full of mud so he couldn't complete the survey first time round, so he returned a few days later to finish the job.

After clearing the debris, Dan was able to conduct the camera survey and spotted what turned out to be a redundant pipe line with a hole, which it seems was the entry point. As a temporary fix a rat blocker was fitted to the line, awaiting a later trip where it will be blocked with concrete, and we'll hopefully get a new inspection chamber fitted to the front of the property so we can move the rat blocker there to stop the critters coming into our pipes at our boundary.

Whilst we seem to have sorted our drains rats are wily and dug themselves a new hole which we later found a few days later - so back to the drawing board of making holes in our walls to try and find the problem from inside our house! But at least the drains are fixed :). Cheers Dan!

I called The Drain Guys about an external drain which I knew was blocked with roots and flooded my driveway during rain. Graham was lovely on the phone and took a lot of time to explain what my options were so I could make an informed decision. There was no pressure to go with them but the customer service at that point was excellent so I went for a fixed fee 2 hour appointment.

The engineer (John?) Was lovely as well and explained what he was going to do. He managed to clear 2 meters before hitting a massive root. He tried to clear it but was stopped by the condition of the drain. He put a camera down and showed me the the drain before, during and after the works. Fascinating! He gave me a report with recommendations before he left, suggesting that the drain be replaced as the riots will only grow through again in time. I was not pressurised into going ahead with the extra work at all. In fact I was told to see how it goes and if it causes problems, then give them a call. How refreshing to have an honest and trustworthy opinion!

We had an overflowing external drain after the recent downpours - sewage was leaking out of the cover, it was hideous. I called The Drain Guys in the morning and they said they could get to me later that day. I received text messages about their arrival time - it was all very professional. They cleared the problem without any fuss for their standard drain clearance fee.

I'd read horror stories about drain companies charging the earth for rodding, flushing and unnecessary CCTV work etc. None of that here. I was very impressed - would definitely recommend. Nice company.

An emergency call out for my blocked kitchen sink resulted in a positive response from the Drain Guys who had an engineer on site within a few hours. A polite, personable and competent technician unblocked my drain in less than an hour. Had tried other organisations offering 24/7 services before the Drain Guys to be informed by all of them that they could only come out in a few days time. The Drain Guys delivered and I do not hesitate in recommending them.
