I made an initial small purchase about a week ago and I've been delaying this review until I tried the boerewors.
In short, it did not disappoint! Wife and daughter approved, so I'm afraid I'm going to be a regular.
Honestly one of the best we've had the UK .

Shocking customer service. I was singed up to a subscription I didn’t want. I emailed 3 times, filled out the online form 2 times and tried to call (no answer) numerous times to cancel. As I used Apple Pay the account uses a hidden email address so I couldn’t login to cancel the subscription. Had to cancel via my bank in the end !

I wrote a bad review because i thougtmy claassens biltong slicer would not arrive and i thought i had not received communication. Yet i was wrong on both aspects. It arrived from south africa to belgium without any problems in two months. Even though it is cast iron it did not break. I am very happy with it, it is of an extremely high quality.

They asked for a second payment even though i already payed, but this was quickly cleared out with their good customer service! Thank you L. Krijger!

I have been buying from these guys for years and assumed they'd have an awesome 5 star rating so felt compelled to say my piece here. I only buy the pre-sliced, no fat biltong and I have never been let down. Once it was a little drier than usual so I mentioned it and they actually sent me a new bag free of charge. I didnt ask for it, they just sent it. Thats great customer service in my eyes!

Customer service is shocking. Quality is so variable. They aren't interested in engaging. I have used this company for years. Not any more which is disappointing. There are better options out there.

I have been buying biltong from here for the past 5 years and when the product is good, it really is good! The reason for the rating is that there is no consistency with the product and seemingly no concern for quality.

From one batch to the next you can go from perfect, to so dry it's like eating sand. For the cost of biltong, this is not a chance I'm willing to take each time I order from here and so, with regret, I will not be buying from here anymore.

The company also doesn't seem interested in engaging on these concerns on the two occasions I've raised them which is very disappointing.

Genuinely the worst biltong I have ever had in my whole life - and I have had loads of the petrol station stuff in my life.
The meat tasted as if the cow was long past her prime when the biltong was made. It was so dry it sucked all the moisture right out of my mouth. And it was sliced in the wrong direction - indicating to me that either the person slicing it had no idea what they were doing, or they had a poor quality cut of meat to work with.

And so, the search for good biltong in the UK continues...

After placing my order to be couriered to me I received a confirmation advising that I had to collect my order, a distance of circa 60 miles away. I have tried 6 times to call them and get message cannot speak to anyone or leave a message. I have emailed three times to which I have not received a reply. I will now proceed through my bank to call back the money I paid. Serious questions about this business!

In a world where every South African "expat" starts making the "best biltong" The Biltong Company makes consistently good biltong.
Have made multiple orders and all were good.

I ordered 500grams of dry wors, and 500grams of biltong, it was the best ever. The order was delivered promptly, they even threw in a bag of Sally Williams Nougat, so that was a real treat.. it brought tears to my eyes as a small reminder of home. Thank you guys for putting a smile on my face, most definitely will be ordering again, so pleased to have found some top quality biltong finally.

Ordered biltong from here, was delivered in 2 day's, vacuum sealed and tasted really good, will definitely use them again.

Good quality biltong, promptly delivered! What more could you want!
