The Appliance Depot was founded in 2008 by a dedicated team who have over 33 years of experience within the industry. We have seen welcome and unexpected growth over the years and are now operating from two different sites within Leicestershire, with a total warehouse capacity of over 35,000 square foot, holding over 5,000 products for sale. We sell products from some of the most recognised and loved brands, including, but not limited to: Neff, Bosch, Siemens and Smeg. We specialise in selling graded products bought directly from the manufacturers themselves. These products may not come in the original packaging, they may be ex-display, damaged, end of the line or cosmetically imperfect. However, we pride ourselves on being honest and transparent with our customers, and you can find an explanation on each listing of why that item is graded. From the moment we answer the phone or respond to your email, you are at the heart of what we do. We strive to answer all queries and provide as much information to the customer as possible, in order for them to make a well-informed decision. Our dedicated team pride themselves on providing an exceptional level of customer service, from answering queries, to showing people around the warehouse, and going above and beyond when delivering.

Brilliant delivery by Mickie, cheerful and helpful and extra phone call beforehand. Than you
It's not our problem, go to ***********
I bought a Freezer from this company about a year ago.
The first thing that went wrong was; a note on the machine saying some thing was wrong, didn't say what ?
Contacted The Appliance Depot, they said that I should contact their warranty company. Which I did, they came & fiddled about, & somehow removed the notice. But didn't know how they did it ? They suggested that the temperature was set too high. It was set to - 24, [as received by Appliance Depot]. They reset it to - 18.
At minus - 18 the contents were almost melting, the top of the freezer was just about OK, the bottom of the freezer was less than freezing.
I reported back to Appliance Depot, they said it wasn't their problem, & to get back to the warranty people, also to contact NordMende in Ireland the supplier to Appliance Depot.
I got the warranty company in again, & again twice. I had to put down the temperature to - 24. At this temperature it was freezing at top, but at the bottom.
We put some bread at the bottom, it was mildew after 2 weeks.
The warranty company, said that it may need a flush & refill of the liquid that does the freezing ? This never happened. They also said that they had sent a message to NordeMande to refund our money.
I contacted Appliance Depot again to let them know about this.
Their comment [ as usual ] we haven't heard from them, we can't do anything until we do, you will have to go back to them.
I contacted NordeMende, they pushed me back to the warranty company, & the warranty co. have now ignored me.
I am now stuck with a freezer, where only half is used.
I am considering taking The Appliance Depot to the small claims court, [ I have taken a company to the small claims court before, & won, but never got my money. ]
So I really do not know what to do.
But if anybody is thinking to buy from The Appliance Depot, think twice !!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Dreadful customer service. Their driver arrived at my property at 5:35am and caused significant damage to my property in his vehicle, which I witnessed and took photographic evidence of immediately. I spoke to their team, who were at first very helpful, but when it came to rectifying the issue, they refused. Their driver Ben denied all knowledge and would not accept responsibility and their manager Steve has refused to accept responsibility despite the overwhelming evidence. Having been a regular customer, I will not be shopping here again and have shared this very poor experience with others.
Bought a used dryer
Bought a used dryer. Used it 3 or 4 times and already leaking out of the bottom.
Called up for help and they aren't willing to do anything. Sales assistant was rude.

Had a range cooker delivered on 20 th Dec,can’t remember the delivery man’s name but he was excellent . So helpful and cheerful even though he had driven from Leicester to Swansea .He is an asset to your company . Cooker was as described and very well packed and protected . Would recommend this company
Not great
Not great. Bought a very expensive Smeg cooker which went wrong within a few months. They fixed it but it has had the same problem again and now it's just over a year old so no warranty. Had to phone them 20 times to finally get to the point where they suggested I call Smeg direct but because it's a "graded" appliance Smeg won't touch it.
DO NOT BUY GRADED APPLIANCES FROM THIS COMPANY.
Don’t use them if i could I wouldn’t…
Don’t use them if i could I wouldn’t even give them 1 star, they had us chasing around all over the place trying to sort out the faulty appliance, we bought a Bosch washer dryer from them it was faulty, Bosch offered to send them a voucher to replace it but they was not interested, don’t know why but obviously the customer doesn’t matter, the site looks great but don’t trust them buy elsewhere.
A dishonest business
I fell for their photos and ended up buying an appliance that was heavily dented at the back—definitely not what they call "cosmetic damage." I decided to return it and they made me pay for their delivery fees, a £50 "relisting" charge, and the cost of a courier to get it back to their warehouse. Roughly £200. A terrible, barely legal shop.
Returns are charged a lot!
We ordered a hood (kitchen ventilation system), which in theory was the same as the one which was broken in our house. We have waited over two weeks for delivery! Upon receiving a parcel we found out it is much smaller model. We wanted to return as unused (unpacked!) item within 24h of delivery, and we have been informed:
1. £30 delivery charge is non refundable (understandable)
2. There will be extra charge for a return of £50
3. We have to pay for a courier back with an insurance.
So out of £180 purchase we stay out of the pocket for over £100 even though we return it under online return rights within 14 day limit- sounds way too excessive and dodgy.
To AD, I strongly recommend to improve your customer service experience or stop selling online.
Fabulous delivery experience
I wouldn’t normally write reviews, but the delivery experience this morning was so good I felt compelled to give it the recognition it deserves. Mickie, the delivery driver phoned me 20 mins prior to advice of arrival time, on arrival he was friendly, professional and respectful of my property. I have had many deliveries throughout my lifetime, but this was by far the best yet. Well done Mickie, FANTASTIC job !
What went wrong? EVERYTHING. Appalling experience.
What went wrong? Well, nothing went right! Zero stars is more appropriate.
They stated the appliances were fine but would be repackaged-what I found that this meant simply sellotaping some thin cardboard round the sides. Not the top or bottom, no protection, just the sides.
Ordered a Bosch F/F-website stated it was damage free, arrived with a big side dent and no handles.
Same order included an electric cooker, that once connected and switched on, the top oven tripped the main electrics.
Emailed multiple times-and got ignored. Called, and had the phone put down on me.
Started a chargeback for the cooker as they ignored my emails, THEN the company emailed me-saying they would cover a repair cost, swiftly followed by a 'no we have to have it back', so I can no longer have it inspected in situ to prove my recharge claim. The company then claimed I had damaged the doors on the oven and that I had specifically told the collection driver that (their words via email) I had said 'something about a door was loose'. Literal lie. Not only were the doors not loose -I hadn't complained about loose doors and had already said I would keep the appliance after the top oven was fixed, so I wouldn't have said it, but it was very clear that the doors weren't loose as he moved the appliance! He didn't say anything about the doors either. I again can only assume that manufactured issues are attempting to be used in their shocking dispute of the chargeback. Photos taken by me prior to collection prove this to be false and it seems they are unaware that some homes have indoor security cameras that can record audio.
They flagrantly ignored the fact I could also legally cancel the order within 2 weeks as per distance selling regulations, but ignored my emails until that time had long passed.
Emailed repeatedly about damage to fridge freezer on arrival too, and again, ignored-completely, so I am going to have to start a chargeback for that now.
This is almost like the rules and regulations don't matter to them. Perhaps they expect people to read their site and take what they say as gospel, when in fact what they say on their site is in breach of multiple consumer regulations.
This is my first ever chargeback-and I am 53.
Their T&Cs are against Trading Standards regulations, they don't advise you of your comsumer rights, they didn't tell me I could cancel, or get repairs, or claim on a warranty, or choose to return it, they didn't ask for photos of the damages, they did not offer to replace, or collect, they in fact just ignored my emails and took no action whatsoever. Their website states to tell them about faults or damage as soon as possible or they will refuse liability. They offer remedies such as repair, replacement or "possible" refund. My rights entitle me to a refund for goods not as described, but that appears not to matter either.
Their FAQ's also contain mistakes, and do not inform you of your statutory rights-which some of their rules directly contradict (for example: they cannot charge a restocking fee to cancel, you also have 14 days not 7 to cancel, and if they do not advise you of your statutory right to cancel in writing your timeframe to cancel becomes one year and 14 days), so be warned-if my experience is anything to go by, you could well have a nightmare time having to fight for your rights under the law.
My advice: Go elsewhere, frankly. But if you choose to use these then screenshot the description of the product, video the product(s) on arrival, video any damage, get someone to inspect it before allowing them to collect it, and arm yourself with your consumer rights and then if ignored, start a chargeback or a section 75 with help from your bank. Expect to have to fight.
I thought I was buying undamaged goods simply with damaged packaging as their website stated-I thought I was doing the planet a favour as what harm is just damaged packaging, right? I usually use AO.com (never recieved a damaged or faulty product from them, can prove this with invoices and bank statements if this review is challenged by Appliance Depot) -but thought I'd try somewhere else for a change. What a mahoosive mistake.
What I got was two appliances-one damaged/one faulty, appallingly rude attitude by Steve, and still ongoing grief six weeks later.
On delivery I was told by the driver that "women usually get their husbands to deal with deliveries and things like this"...not even kidding.
I spent almost £850. They do not want to give me my money back and instead are attempting to fabricate reasons to avoid it.
They have yet to acknowledge the f/f cancellation/return.
I shall be reporting Appliance Depot to Trading Standards, seriously, my experience is really that bad.
I have since bought an AEG cooker from elsewhere and that arrived undamaged and properly packaged.
Cheeky Chappy
Cheeky Chappy the delivery driver was great 👍
5* for The Appliance Depot and Steve!
I visited The Appliance Depot around a month ago to purchase a new fridge and cooker, and I was really fortunate to have met Steve who helped me. He was brilliant! His customer service was absolutely outstanding. He took the time to understand what I’m after, he explained all the features of various models, and he was really easy to talk to. Steve’s knowledge and guidance made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Thanks to him, I found the perfect appliances for my home. I highly recommend The Appliance Depot and especially Steve. Thanks again for all your help, Steve.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. AVOID
Bought a washer dryer from them in January, and we told them on the day of delivery that it had damage but they assured us it was still functional.
9 months later and the machine stopped working, the manufacturer engineer refuses to fix it because they advised that it has likely been dropped on transit when delivered to us, and the damage has been covered up with paint.
Tried to contact the appliance depot for a return, but they have been extremely rude, and unhelpful. They refused to fix the issue, so we had to buy a new machine in the meantime whilst trying to get them to respond, paying money out of our own pocket.
They have ignored us for weeks, and when we have been able to get hold of them, they've been continuously rude, and keep putting the phone down on us.
This company does not care about it's customers and was happy to sell a dangerously damaged appliance to us. Avoid this company, their customer service and general attitude is disgusting.
Avoid
Bought a cooker hood. Came loosely packed in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. All the plastic film had been removed and found staining on the chimney. I haven’t unpacked the rest so it remains to be seen what I might find. I guess that will be in a couple of weeks time when it’s fitted. My advice, to avoid disappointment, shop elsewhere. Restocking and postage costs it probably would have been as cheap to buy new elsewhere.
Good, straightforward company
This company sent me a couple of reminders regarding delivery date. Price was competitive.
The highlight was the delivery driver took my appliance right into the kitchen where I wanted it. You don't get that kind of service every day.
