The Appliance Depot was founded in 2008 by a dedicated team who have over 33 years of experience within the industry. We have seen welcome and unexpected growth over the years and are now operating from two different sites within Leicestershire, with a total warehouse capacity of over 35,000 square foot, holding over 5,000 products for sale. We sell products from some of the most recognised and loved brands, including, but not limited to: Neff, Bosch, Siemens and Smeg. We specialise in selling graded products bought directly from the manufacturers themselves. These products may not come in the original packaging, they may be ex-display, damaged, end of the line or cosmetically imperfect. However, we pride ourselves on being honest and transparent with our customers, and you can find an explanation on each listing of why that item is graded. From the moment we answer the phone or respond to your email, you are at the heart of what we do. We strive to answer all queries and provide as much information to the customer as possible, in order for them to make a well-informed decision. Our dedicated team pride themselves on providing an exceptional level of customer service, from answering queries, to showing people around the warehouse, and going above and beyond when delivering.

Very happy with the service!
Frank was super and extremely helpful
Frank was super and extremely helpful. He even helped my carry the washing machine up a flight of stairs - which he was not contracted or insured to do. He went above and beyond what he was employed to do. Thank you!

The Appliance Depot are an amazing company, they go the extra mile for customers where they can.
Damage and missing parts
Ordered £4k worth of product and realised once it arrived that it was covered in odd dents. Thankfully, nothing that could be seen post-install and therefore I ignored; however, the fridge freezer was missing all the parts.
I couldnt get the kitchen installed before Christmas, so I had to wait 6 weeks, which surpasses their T&C's of 2 days for reporting missing items. When I called them for help, I was reminded of this and told to sort it myself with the manufactuer.
I did. Which cost me more money, and although not much, was a real inconvenience and extremely poor display of customer service. I recommended friends to TAD, one of whom placed an order.
Despite what the T&C's say, the unit was bought and paid for with TAD and never unboxed. It could not be installed on time and has created an incredible amount of hassle. For that reason, I find it crazy that common sense did not prevail and they did not help me.
So, fair warning to all those reading this, the units are not factory boxes, heavily damaged, and like mine, missing entire installation parts. In hindsight, I did not save money ordering from them, and since I'm here, images attached of the minor damage to the unit, given its lack of original boxed protection.
Faulty Item, Missing Parts, and Refund Only Issued After PayPal Intervention
I purchased a Bosch chimney cooker hood listed as new graded – damaged box only. After confirming the delivery date, I booked an installer. Upon opening the box, the installer found essential parts missing, including brackets and the flue cover. When connected to power, the unit was also faulty, as the suction level buttons did not work.
I contacted the company the same day, then again over the following two days, with no response. Only after opening a PayPal claim did they get in touch. They then attempted to pressure me into closing the claim before issuing a refund, which is inappropriate and unnecessary, as a refund would automatically close the claim. Communication was rude and unprofessional, and they refused to confirm anything in writing.
In my opinion, this was both the sale of a defective product and an attempt to mislead during the refund process. The refund was only issued because PayPal intervened. I would not recommend this company.
Order a Smeg Fridge Freezer
I ordered a Smeg clearance fridge freezer and couldn’t be happier. The experience was excellent from start to finish. I made an offer, had it accepted, and received a call the very same day to arrange delivery. Within just a couple of days, the appliance was delivered and up and running.
Every part of the process was seamless and faultless. The damage was accurately described and as expected and the delivery driver was friendly and efficient.
I would definitely buy from this company again and would recommend them.
Excellent Service.
Ordered a fridge freezer over the Xmas period. Service was great from start to finish and price very competitive.
Delivery was exactly to time and we were kept updated throughout.
Fire brigade called
Fire brigade called – dangerously unsafe appliances sold here
This is, without exaggeration, the worst purchase I have ever made.
I bought a B-grade Smeg range cooker from The Appliance Warehouse, supposedly discounted due to a “minor scratch”. I still paid £2,400. The cooker looked brand new — no scratch visible — which in hindsight should have been a red flag rather than reassurance.
Almost immediately, one of the induction zones did not work. An engineer was sent out and, rather than fixing the fault, blamed my home’s electrical installation — despite the fact that a similar cooker had worked perfectly for years. I was effectively pressured into replacing the power cable with a thicker one to “maintain warranty cover”, even though my electrician explicitly said this would not solve the problem. I paid £500 for this pointless work. Unsurprisingly, the fault remained.
Smeg later inspected the cooker themselves and refused to repair it under warranty, offering no explanation whatsoever. I was simply told to deal with The Appliance Warehouse. The retailer then “offered” to fix it — but only if I paid for uninstalling and reinstalling the cooker and took two full days off work to wait at home from 6am to 6pm, with no delivery time slots. This is not customer service — it is obstruction.
At this point it became very clear that something was seriously wrong with this appliance, and that neither the manufacturer nor the retailer wanted responsibility. It raises serious questions about what condition these “B-grade” appliances are actually in, and whether they are properly checked at all.
The real shock came today. Just 15 months after purchase, while using the oven normally, an internal element at the back of the cooker began smoking and burning violently. The electrical burning smell was so severe that I had to call the fire brigade. This is not exaggeration. Firefighters attended my home. I was extremely lucky that this did not result in a house fire or injury. The cooker is almost new — and it could have burned my home down.
This retailer sold me a dangerous, unsafe appliance and washed their hands of responsibility at every stage. I dread to think what could have happened if this occurred while we were out of the house or overnight.
Do not buy from The Appliance Warehouse.
You do not know what you are getting. Saving a few hundred pounds is absolutely not worth risking your home, your safety, or your family’s lives. Buy from a reputable retailer, pay more, and avoid this company entirely.
We are in the year 2026
We are in the year 2026, why on earth does anyone think it’s ok to insist on a day when you have to take a day off work to sign for something, and then not bother either delivering the item and not calling to explain if these problem. Perhaps send an email, a text message, smoke signals, but never ever stay quiet, it leads to bad reviews and canceled sales, at least it will do when you open in the morning. Crap 1980s service. They’ll bother you to arrange a day and then nothing. Avoid.
Wow. I mean just wow. I called this morning to see what had happened and was immediately met with negative vibes, they are clearly waiting for a fight. I was told that a manager would call and help but as I work in an area with zero reception I called back. No stress, I was told a manager didn’t stay till half past nine, fair enough. When I explained I wasn’t available after that a manager was suddenly found. That man was the most aggressive angry little fool I’ve ever had to deal with. The language was not only colourful but he was shouting, swearing and acting like he’s never heard of customer service. I’m actually shocked at how they think it’s ok to treat people. If I lived closer I’d be very tempted to roll up there and see if his words are as big as his mouth. Disgusted by them, please don’t use these muppets.
So far an excellent experience
So far an excellent experience. Paid for and on the same day phoned to arrange a mutually agreed delivery. Like the personal touch. Great communication
Service worst ever experienced by an appliance retailer
Bought a SMEG fridge/freezer which was advertised as having some superficial marks. When we took delivery turns it was was a used, ex-display model. It worked for 24 hours then short-circuited and didn't work again. A SMEG engineer came, explained it would be fixable (although he was surprised that a faulty fridge had been sold to us in the first place) and that we should liase with the managers at Appliance Depot. We tried multiple times to liase with the managers and were told simply that they wanted it returned instead and would be picking it up. No attempt to fix, no compensation, no discount on an alternative purchase. We bought this fridge in good faith, managed to get it carefully into the house. It briefly worked - and then it failed so we had no fridge or freezer at all over Christmas. This completely spoiled our Christmas plans and meal - the timing could not have been worse. Then we were told we had to get the fridge back outside for the return - not easy and very inconvenient. This is the worst service our whole family have ever experienced from an appliance retailer. Complete lack of apology, contrition, and compensation just makes the customer service look very, very poor. And we haven't even been issued with our refund yet.
Stay away from this company they are…
Stay away from this company they are untrustworthy bad customer service and deliver damage goods they say they will give you a tiny amount of money off and they did not bother doing that. This has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with.
If All Delivery Drivers Were Ben…
We ordered a fridge so large it probably has its own postcode. Didn’t measure. Didn’t worry. Foolish optimism fueled by “we’ll build the kitchen around it.”
Enter Ben. 6:30am. Policy explained calmly: they carry fridges up six stairs only. We live on the third floor. Plus internal stairs. Plus hubris.
Ben then casually mentions he’s only ever carried a fridge up stairs once before… for a pregnant woman. I joke to my partner that clearly pregnancy is the missing ingredient here.
Without missing a beat, Ben says:
“Alright mate, deal. You give her a baby, I’ll bring the fridge up. Only condition is you name him after me.”
I ask his name.
“Ben.”
I reply, “That’s my ex.”
Laughter all round. Dawn broken. Spirits lifted.
Ben then proceeds to defy company policy, gravity, and common sense, hauling this absolute unit of a fridge upstairs. When he sees the additional staircase inside the flat, he pauses and says:
“Yeah… one baby’s not enough. This’ll have to be twins.”
Reader, he still did it.
Genuinely hilarious, ridiculously helpful, and the sole reason this fridge now lives in our kitchen instead of the pavement. If Ben ever leaves deliveries for comedy or strongman competitions, I will not be surprised.
Give this man a raise. Or twins. Or both.
Five Stars for Ben, the Fridge-Lifting Midwife.
Great price and exactly as described.
Missing/Damaged Parts. Total ignorance!!
I took delivery of two inset ovens only to find that both had issues of missing parts meaning they couldn't be used. There was also a large dent in one oven. I telephoned and was asked to email details of the problems and include photos, which I did immediately. Since then I have heard nothing from them. I ended up purchasing the missing parts directly from the manufacturer hence I'm further out of pocket. I would recommend avoiding this company like the plague.
Excellent service
Excellent service. Delivered on time. Superbly helpful customer service... no annoying wait or numerous options to choose from before you get to speak to a human being.
Phoned up to enquire about an oven
Phoned up to enquire about a replacement oven. A very pleasant lady answered straight away- with no 'press this and that' stacking system!
Order completed within 5 mins. Couldn't be better- and a favourable price!
Induction hob was great buy
Advert for induction hob was clear and as described. Great price and kept very well informed by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Great service and very happy with product.
Keep up the good work!
Great service
Great service, excellent value. Highly recommended
I highly recommend applicant depot
I highly recommend applicant depot. Through no fault of theirs, I failed to fully read the description provided for the SMEG cooker I purchased. As such it was more damaged than I expected it to be. One phone call later and I had spoken to the owner, Jon, who couldn't have been kinder or more efficient if he had tried. He offered a small refund to make up for the extra damage which was in my account in under an hour. Truly lovely staff, excellent customer service and a fabulous, brand new, fancy cooker. Happy customer.
