A birthday gift that turned into a PayPal dispute.
This pendant was supposed to be a special birthday present for my niece. Her birthday is tomorrow, August 9.
She had been genuinely excited about this style of jade pendant, so I wanted to surprise her with something personal and meaningful. I was looking forward to giving it to her and seeing her reaction when she opened it.
Instead, one day before her birthday, I am sitting here with no present.
What should have been a happy little surprise has turned into checking emails, looking for tracking information, contacting the seller and finally opening a PayPal dispute.
The order was placed on August 3 for €255.40. The shop advertised approximately 2–5 days delivery with tracking.
As of August 8, I have received nothing beyond the automated order confirmation. No tracking number. No shipping confirmation. No explanation.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that, had I known beforehand how little independent information and customer feedback I could find about this shop, I would never have ordered here. I would have chosen a more established and professional jewellery retailer, even if it meant paying more.
Now the birthday is tomorrow and the gift I specifically chose for her is simply not here.
That is why I am leaving this review. I wish somebody had documented an experience like this before I placed my order.
A PayPal dispute for the full €255.40 has now been opened.
If the seller provides verifiable tracking, delivers the pendant or refunds the payment, I will update this review accordingly.
