Five years ago I bought a Temple Lightweight and it became my pride and joy. Recovering from Radiotherapy I found the bike was getting to be too hard work and I eventually gave it to my son who now also loves it. My brilliant wife suggested I get a new bike and a Temple Electric was the obvious choice.

I went for the Step-Through Electric in cream. The bike is wonderful. It looks like a proper bike, not quite as slender as Temple's steel bikes, but far superior to all those clunky e-bikes out there. The assist is fantastic - it is light enough to ride without the motor if you need to or you can crank the power up to 5 and whizz around London gently turning the cranks. I. Love. It.

As ever, service at Temple's Brick Lane store has been exceptional and friendly.

Buy a Temple - you deserve it, and this brilliant, growing, British company deserves your custom.

Pity can't have a rare boot for it straight away, have to shop elsewhere and figure out size and compatobility which is not my theme really, arrived few days later than expected, other than that - great experience, thanks!

Fast delivery of a beautifully finished steel frame, which I will build up to my specification. So glad Tenple are continuing the tradition of affordable British-made steel frames using Reynolds tubing. I happened to see their work in the Luzern store in Switzerland, and that convinced me to buy on my return: there is evidently worldwide interest, so I hope they can keep making it work, and keep resisting any temptation to offshore the site and integrity of their manufacturing operation. My only wish is that they might stock Road frame sizes above 60 cm, and the Classic frames above ‘large’.

First time shopping with Temple cycles and everything was made simple.ordered a new Brooks saddle and it was delivered within two days.perfect!

Website was really full of information (and other reviews) that helped me make decisions about what i wanted. The stuff came really quickly, and it's been on my bikes for a couple of weeks—very happy with saddle and tape.

The website was easy to navigate and the team at Temple Cycles responded to my frame sizing enquiry promptly. Once ordered my bike, an Adventure Disc 1, was built within the anticipated timeframe and delivered, well packaged, the next day. The bike is nicely finished and is comfortable and confidence inspiring to ride. Could not be happier with my purchase.

The company seems to be a scam. They claim to produce bikes in small batches, and that they are 'made in the UK, in Bristol' it's a misleading statement, as the frames and forks are made in Taiwan. So they charge way over the odds for these bikes, leading people to believe they are actually made in the UK, when they are actually only put together here with components that are made in China and Taiwan - as are most other bikes.
Also, the setup of the 1x9 on the lightweight classic is set up to fail- the chain line is too severe leading to the bike slipping out of gear. It should be built with 2x crank and front derailleur. Are they just doing this to save £? They must know this setup doesn't work.

Asked them what company in Taiwan produces the frames, the reply was: "I am sorry, but unfortunately we are unable to divulge that information for confidentiality reasons."

Talk about transparency. What are they hiding? This reply from temple doesn't fill me with confidence.

I would urge you to consider the language used on your website which could lead people to believe the frame and fork are manufactured in the UK, when in fact your bikes are only assembled in the UK. It does seem you've revised your introduction slightly on the site since.
Other businesses do indeed disclose where their frames are manufactured. I think this information is important to customers. The brand 'Surly' for example use 'Maxway' in Taiwan to produce their frames. To me, I don't fully understand what you would lose from being fully transparent.
As for the extreme angle of the chain line when In gear 1, on the 9x1 setup- if you look through your reviews you will find other complaints about gears slipping.

A great product. Stylish and well made

I bought a nice bike partially assembled with parts I had to assemble. Bike was nice, well made. A bit pricey but ok. I had to call the workshop (the only tel no. given) to change the delivery address which had defaulted from somewhere and was wrong. I called about 5 times over a week and no-one ever picked up the phone. I tried the contact us and eventually got an email.
