Extremely disappointed is an understatement
My husband and I purchased our wedding bands from your Subiaco store in January. My ring is perfect, however my husband’s ring has unfortunately been too large from the day we collected it.
When we tried it on in store, we immediately raised our concerns that it was too big. We understood that tantalum rings cannot be resized, however the sales consultant encouraged us to take it home, wear it in different temperatures, and see how it felt over time. Although we were hesitant to do this, we trusted the advice we were given.
In April, I also contacted Temple & Grace about the ring and explained that it was still too large. I was advised to bring it back and was told that it could be resized for us. Once again, at no point during that conversation was I informed about the 100-day return policy. Had we been told then, we would have made arrangements to return the ring immediately.
Unfortunately, we were never informed of your 100-day return policy at any stage. Living in the country means we don’t regularly travel to Perth, so we only returned to the store when we were next in the area.
Because we followed the advice we were given to continue wearing the ring, it now has some light scratches, which we completely understand is expected with normal wear. However, we feel we have been placed in a very disappointing position. Had we been made aware of the 100-day return policy, we would have returned the ring much sooner instead of continuing to trial it as we were advised.
We’re now left with a $740 wedding band that cannot be resized, cannot be worn, and is effectively unusable. We are incredibly disappointed, particularly as we raised our concerns from the outset and relied on the guidance provided by your team on more than one occasion.
