Tecaz is the largest independent bathroom and kitchen company in the North East, having 3 vast bathroom and kitchen showrooms situated in North Shields, Sunderland and Stockton. Each premises shows all the latest designs in bathing, showering and kitchens, in either contemporary or Classical styling. The Tecaz name has been well known for 40 years in the Newcastle and Sunderland area from it’s origination in Boldon. The first properly dedicated bathroom and kitchen megastore opened in North Shields, Newcastle in 1985. After North Shields, a showroom in Ryhope was opened in 1999 in a 26,000 square foot former Co-Op superstore and not long afterward a 32,000 square foot Cash and Carry building was purchased in Stockton. All had the emphasis on the broadest range and best prices combined with quality. Pennywell overhead web image When the opportunity to purchase the ex-Sunderland Echo building in Pennywell Industrial Estate, Sunderland, close to the A19 was identified, it became obvious that this was a worthy successor to the Ryhope premises, therefore in May 2015 this site was acquired. Due to our huge floorspace we have a massive area across our 3 showrooms, displaying a huge number of brands, and products displayed, so you can see and feel the products. At Tecaz we showcase 150 bath and shower rooms, and more than 40 kitchens room settings, from over 25 leading manufacturers, at each shop. With a team of designers available to offer advice and free computer planning, and installation support on larger projects you are sure to achieve your dream bathroom or kitchen. With emphasis on innovative planning being a major consideration for any bathroom or kitchen project, the free computer aided design with the added peace of mind of a free service of survey before installation means that your dream can be translated into reality with the minimum of disruption. We are very sorry to hear that you are still upset from an issue that occurred in 2022. October 2022 to be precise, with our last email to yourself and indeed our last correspondence being 24/10/2022.
We can view from the images you supplied, you were very kindly given a free replacement pan for damage caused by that of your fitter in one of your rental properties to which you are a landlord, as you kindly informed us of in your correspondence. The new pan supplied being an exact match for the original.
Whilst I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the outstanding customer service you were given from Kerry who worked on the department at the time, I would question as to why you have placed a defamatory review some 2 years after the event. Holding on to that nearly as long as our amazing sale prices in any of our 3 fantastic stores in the North East with hundreds of displays to view.
We do also appreciate that at the time you felt that you wanted compensation, however as we did advise, you had the goods over 3 months before reporting damage, and the damage sustained was not that of a manufacturing cause. Therefore, we, as a gesture of goodwill to you our valued customer, provided you with an exact model match pan that had been damaged during installation free of charge.

Excellent service from the North Shields branch, Elaine was friendly, helpful and really lovely to deal with from the off. Phil and Henry from Fine Fit Bathrooms did such an amazing job on fitting our bathroom and were a pleasure to deal with the whole time - it looks amazing.

Got our bathroom toilet and sink from the Sunderland branch with staff being very helpful.At the Stockton branch today to get the rest of the fixtures. Lisa very very helpful , she couldn’t do enough for us, especially when the black radiators we wanted were not something they had in store , she she spent a very long time looking threw different brochures to try and find us the cheapest price . Would definitely shop here again and go straight to Lisa for all her help in the future :)

As can been seen from the companies reply, the above rings true, it seems miss selling is common practice at Tecaz!

Have used Jessica Knox twice over the years to supply our kitchens and have always been impressed. Nothing is too much trouble, she takes her time and makes you feel at ease. Faulty goods no refund
Please be aware of 5 day policy
Bought a cast resin shower tray checked OK within 5 days looked OK went to fit and was warped unable to level impossible to fit glass screen as that bad a manufacturer fault they will not refund told to buy another as had it 9 days I have the defect tray and pictures available if required

Bathroom & Kitchen
After a little time shopping around we were recommened to Tecaz as they do both bathrooms and kitchens. Needless to say I am not dissapointed with the level of service at all. I was quoted a 6 week lead time as the kitchen was made to measure and not pre built. During this time I was updated frequentlyly by the store manager and the in house designer Mohammed. We had one little hickup along the way but that was resolved with great haste.
Going forward I will be looking to also uprade my en-suite and would personally recommend anyone looking at a bathroom or kitchen to keep Tecaz in mind. Great job and thank you again.

En Suite
I went to Tecaz for my En Suit and I am extremely pleased I did. Elaine from Tecaz in North Shields helped me last year with my parents bathroom so I knew I wanted to go back and see her for my En Suite. Elaine remembered me which made me feel very valued as a customer. From my brief she knew exactly what I wanted and kept all of my products within my budget. (And has helped me create the most classy and modern en suit)
I then used Elaine’s recommendation of Phil to fit my en suite, Phil also fitted my parents bathroom over a year ago. Phil and Harry worked so hard even when they came across a few issues due to my property, they over came them with easy and no fuss. They really respected my property and left everything tidy.
Thank you Tecaz and mostly thank you Elaine one again for helping me create a stunning en suite and proving as always the most amazing customer service xx

Attempted to buy a new toilet seat for a unit bought in 2011. Craig who served me was amazing. He did his best to find the right one for me, looking up my details on computer. Although I could not resolve it today Craig went out of his way to help. An absolute star.
