The dealership that provided my vehicle has now twice suggested I needed at least 2 new tyres. At the second prompt I booked my car in with Tanvic Tyres, Melton Mowbray. The car was set up on an inspection hoist and duly inspected. Afraid that my car may be unsafe regarding the worn tyre treads, I had booked the car in and ordered 2 new tyres. The Tanvic engineer took time to explain the detail that should be visible when tyres are no longer safe - no such detail was visible during the inspection and it was suggested that I returned with my car in 3-4 months for a further inspection to confirm if the tyres in fact needed replacing at that point in time.
Honesty and client care is a rare thing these days and I commend Tanvic Tyres/Melton Mowbray for their forthright honesty and advice. I will return the vehicle for a subsequent inspection in 3-4 months time. Thank you Tanvic for your professional integrity!

Adam, Manager at Corby very helpful. I had been to another company who quoted me nearly £600 for 3 tyres. Adam inspected my tyres and advised I actually only needed 1 tyre! Brilliant service

Thank you to the amazing Lucy at Grantham Depot for helping my daughter who broke down last week and was extremely upset, she has not long passed her test and got herself into a bit of a state until Lucy came out and helped her as did the gents in the Depot getting her car into Tanvic safely and consoling her.
I called Steve and he had put her car in storage to keep it safe over the bank holiday weekend.
Steve you are a star as is all of your staff at Grantham.

Took wheel in today with suspected puncture . Busy but needed done asap. Lad said he’d try to sort . Rang 2= hours later, sorted . Well done.

Recently visited Tanvic for 4 new tyres, car went in perfect and came out with 3 wheels damaged. I've got advice from 2 trye fitters who claim Tanvic are responsible for the damage, but they refuse to accept responsibility. Branch manager (Shaun) is basically calling me a liar, even though he saw the damage was new. Avoid at all costs and certainly would not recommend.

I had a flat this week and Nigel very kindly arranged a van to come and sort it out despite being short staffed. The whole team were really helpful and honest in helping me after, would highly recommend them

Had a tyre fitted and my car came out of the garage with a scratch the length of my vehicle nose to tail. Front desk staff have a lazy ‘so what, ah well attitude’ I’ve now been accused of scratching it myself and puncturing my own tyre on purpose to get the scratch fixed!!!! Awful, awful service.

Went in for service and MOT, came out dripping oil on drive. Told by tanvics Grantham, I need a new sump £500. Instead I had the sump plug removed and re-threaded with a new plug. It was obvious that the garage had stripped the threads putting it in cross threaded and trying to solve the problem with silicone. Denied it was there fault. Wasn't leaking when it went in?

Went into Market Harborough service centre, only wanted an engine oil top up but they also checked and topped up the other washes. Checked the tyres for me as I have only a month to next MOT. Only charged me for the oil. Friendly service and advice, as usual, with minimal charge. Other establishments could learn from their Customer Service.

We went to Tanvic Newark because a tyre on our Avensis was losing air so we thought it had a puncture
Connor dealt with the job really well. He checked the tyre and said that it wasn’t showing signs of puncture and was losing air due to being left immobile since Xmas. We hadn’t taken it out.
Just to put our minds at rest he also checked inside the tyre for damage but it was all good.
At the end of this Connor said there was no charge!! That was more than 30 minutes of his time graciously given!! We did leave a £10 tip but we also left with a feeling that the job had been admirably carried out with a good level of expertise.
It’s good to see genuine lads working at Tanvic!! Thank you very much Connor. You’re a credit to the company!!

My son called Tanvick tyres Worksop , and asked he they could fix his 2009 ford kuga as the engine warning light had come on. They told him over the phone they would have to put the car on the diagnostics machine to see what the problem was , that would be around the £100 mark. Having dropped the car off and the Dyno being plugged in they called him advising the accelerator peddle had failed , it would need a new one , Having fitted the new part s few days later my son got another phone call informing him that the part what was fitted has not fixed the car and he would now have to book it in at ford because Tanvick did not have the software to diagnose the problem. So now my son has had to pay Tanvick £325 and now he’s got to pay ford £180 to plug the car in and then the repair to the car on top of that.
You would have thought on the first phone call to Tanvick they would have advised him to take the car to ford because they don’t have the right software in the first place. But know they have took £325 off him and he’s exactly where he started.
They have took advantage of a hard working 22 year kid who trusted them to fix his car.
I don’t like writing bad reviews but I’m disgusted on what they have charged him and not rectified the problem.

After dropping my daughters car for an MOT and asking them why the service light had come back on when THEY had serviced it two months prior. They informed me they had reset the service light (apparently it can just come on…..ok😂) and charged me for new wipers to pass the mot, the same leaf that had been stuck under the wiper for weeks was still in the same position. When I queried this I was told I could go down and look at the empty box! I have now had to take it elsewhere to get it checked out. I have complained directly to Tanvic via there online submission, yet to get a response.

Asked for the price of a tyre, I needed to take it in to them to make sure it was the correct tyre they were quoting for. First mistake. Tyre was the same price as I had been quoted to fit at home by another company but I was already there so I left it. Second mistake. It would be ready 12pm next day. It wasn’t ready until 3.30pm on a Friday so I decided to collect on Saturday. When collecting the price went up! After fitting the tyre I realised it wasn’t the same one. 40 miles, 2 journeys and now they aren’t going to want to refund on a tyre that’s been used. I’ve used them before for servicing and whenever you agree the price they continually phone up for extra work that needs doing before they can finish the job. I’ll now get the correct tyre fitted at home as I should have done in the first place, and use another garage for repairs.

After being a customer for 40 years. The customer service is now very poor.My last three visits included the following poor service wheels badly balanced,tyres ordered on line,then branch rang half an hour before appointment to say they didn't have the tyres, appointment made arrived on time to find all the tyre fitters on lunch and had to wait another half hour before work commenc ed. Used to be an excellent company,but now very poor. Won't use again

Worksop Tanvic tyres charged me 280 for a new exhaust after in failing on mot . Then on collecting my car the light was on on the dash board and then they switched it off with there plug in computer and said because they took off the censor and put it on the new exhaust it could have broke and i would have to pay 120pound to fix it after it was them that had broke it ! but then to add to insult on looking up how much one was I discovered you just plug it in and they are 40 pound!what a joke 80 to plug it in !what happened to common courtesy after all you broke it !? talk about taking advantage of a women who they clearly thought i know nothing or i have pockets full of money i am completely gob smacked with a car that went in with no management light on and all in working order before having the new exhaust ...avoid!!!!

Very helpful. Went in for them to check my tyres and knew the rear ones were wearing low. They quickly checked them and confirmed and ordered 2. They phone me as promised and made an appointment. All done in around an hour including removing 4 tyres from Alloys I had taken in with me. All round great service
