Quick service of replacement Record Cleaning Machine pads and 500ml of cleaning solution. Big box for a small order though, which feels a bit wasteful.

A good deal and great service
Firstly, there were a couple of available offers.
Secondly, plenty of positive reviews.
I recently had a bad experience with the reliability of a ultrasonic cleaning machine.
So, I decided to step back from that route for the time being.
The order process was very easy, plus I was able to augment my order with some spares, all part of discount.
It was despatched and delivered extremely quickly.
I've just cleaned about 12 records.
The process was very straightforward.

Sleeves folded/bent at corner
Entire 100 pack of sleeves arrived folded/bent up at the corner, but packaging was absolutely fine and flat, which presumably means they must have been packed that way. Spincare quickly resolved the issue and sent a replacement pack free of charge.

Hi Steve,
I’m very sorry to hear that the sleeves arrived folded/bent, especially as the outer packaging was intact.
That’s certainly not the condition we would expect our products to leave the warehouse in.
Please accept my apologies - this is not the standard we aim to uphold.
I have emailed you to offer to send replacements, and I look forward to resolving this for you as soon as possible.

So very disappointed...
I wasn't expecting my vinyl to sound new but was very disappointed in the results. I tried the cleaner on a mix of old, second hand and a new album (tubular bells 2, played about 6 times). The instructions were clear and easy to understand and I also looked at several videos on YouTube so was happy setting it up. For some reason the distortion seemed worse at the beginning of each album after cleaning (which equates to the bottom of the cleaning unit) so I checked and the brushes were inserted correctly. As for tubular bells 2, in my opinion, the hissing, popping etc seemed worse throughout after cleaning.
I then cleaned them a second time just to make sure but there was no improvement. Going forward I can't see myself using this again as I don't want to risk my vinyl so this will be relegated to the loft.

Hi Fred,
Thank you for your order and for taking the time to share your experience. I’m really sorry to hear that the results weren’t what you expected - especially after following the instructions carefully and giving the records a second clean.
From what you’ve described, the distortion at the start of the record is certainly not typical of how the unit performs, so I’d very much like to look into this further with you.
I’ll reach out to you directly via email so we can troubleshoot and hopefully get this resolved for you.
With best regards,
Anthony Taylor

Not what was expecting
Not what was expecting, they do a job but not what wanted the covers for. First one split when I tried to put an album in it. I’ve used them anyway and am still looking for an alternative for my original plan

Antwort von SPINCARE
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear the sleeves weren’t quite what you were looking for, and particularly that one split during use - that’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers.
For context, our Clarity sleeves are designed to be very thin so they look as discreet as possible inside a jacket. As a result, they can be more prone to splitting than our heavier-gauge options, especially if the record is a tight fit.
If you’d like to contact us directly, we’d be happy to recommend a thicker alternative that may be better suited to your original plan.
Best regards,
Anthony Taylor
