Giving one star is truly more than deserved, messed up a Christmas order and then failed to respond to multiple emails and calls over the past couple of months. Definitely would never use again.

awful service, ordered a large amount of hampers back in September only for them not to arrive and could not get hold of anyone! eventually got a reply on social media after having to threaten legal action. avoid at all costs!

Ordered hampers for delivery for week commencing 14th December in September, the first hampers arrived on Sunday 13th no emails saying they were arriving, but two hampers were missing.
Tried to phone no Joy emailed and got a reply from Deborah Smith who said they should be off the production line on the 15th.
All emails after that we unanswered, couldn't get through on the phone.
Been using them for 11 years with only one other hassle, which was quickly resolved. I find it annoying that they cannot give a reply to simple questions if they cannot deliver say so and refund my money so i can go elsewhere. Get the communication sorted, I very much doubt I'll be using them again.

I think they need to take on more staff for the christmas period , ordered staff hampers in October and checked the day before , and told all ok and four days later only had part shipment , and having to wait 90 mins to get through to then be told someone will call back , then not always calls you back, is quite frustrating , I will not be ordering again as at a very busy time for us , i ordered hampers to make things easier and to be honest would have been quicker to make my own rather than spending nearly a day so far waiting for the phone to be answered , come on spicers get it sorted !!!!

Ordered 35 hampers beginning of Oct to be delivered this week, (14th Dec) I also called the end of November to check all was ok, everything was checked and confirmed.
Delivery day arrived and no tracking information that apparently should be received the working day before ever came, after a lengthy wait (2 hours) to get through to someone only to be told some of the items in the hampers were not available and would not be sent but ‘possibly’ the hampers could be with us w/c 21st Dec but that was still very doubtful and couldn’t be guaranteed.
I had onward couriers booked for some of these hampers for later on that day as had no reason to think there was a problem with the despatch, but it took a call from me to find this out!
The girl said there were only two of them answering the phones and they were working from home and just ‘firefighting’, she said there was little stock and they could hardly fulfil any of the orders that were still outstanding. At this point any hope I had just slipped away.
I appreciate this year has presented difficulties for us all and has effected supply chains but that being said we should of been informed well in advance of the delivery date rather than be duped into believing all was ok, by being told of these issues we could have at least made other arrangements - this of course would still be disappointing but it would have given us opportunity to do something about it. This order was over 2k’s worth so in my eyes a considerable order.
They state they ‘take the stress out of Christmas’ which I can assure you I have had the most stressful time the past 3 days having to shop around the week before Christmas trying to make up 35 hampers before our business shutdowns for Christmas. This has obviously come at even more expense and the money paid has not yet been refunded to us despite being assured it would be, I was told the lady in accounts would email me to confirm - but again have heard nothing. They took the money out within one day but am now getting worried they are not going to refund on this order they could not fulfil.
I have emailed but again heard nothing.
I would of rated zero stars had that been an option as I have absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever, needless to say I would never order or recommend this company.
Please weight up your options but if you do place an order, be prepared that you could be let down even if you place an order early does not guarantee you will receive it!

Rubbish company!! Avoid at all cost!!!!! They deserve 0 star!

Placed an order of 18 hampers as gifts to our customers in October. Asked them for VAT invoice and they insisted they can't provide it, and it will only be available once the hampers are sent out in December. Absolutely Non-sense! Payment has been made, VAT invoice should be available immediately. I’ve used other company and they can do it. Very dodgy!!

Now in December, just to double check whether they delivered the hampers. Shocked to receive a reply that I didn't supply the addresses, which I DID PROVIDE in October!! They then checked and admitted they’ve got the addresses and promised to ship the hampers on Friday. Come Friday, they sent me another email saying I didn’t pay the additional delivery charge, which again I HAVE PAID in October!! Now I'm still waiting for the hampers to be shipped, which is supposed to be done by 11/Dec!!!

Also to add, it's extremely difficult to get through their phone line. I've tried over 20 calls since 9am this morning, either line busy or keeps me waiting and listening to the boring script for over 20mins! They don't reply to emails either!!!

This company is a total mess!!!! Customer service non-existent!!!

To save you time and energy, I strongly urge you to avoid this company at all cost!!

I have used this company before & they are ok.
However this year I ordered a hamper of chocolates which was meant to be in a deluxe presentation box.
When it arrived, I was shocked, it was a tower of 3 small boxes in plain boxes, resembling cardboard!!!
Thw whole idea of a hamper is that it is presented nicely, all in one place, be it a basket or a box!

Just taken delivery of Christmas hampers for our 40+ staff. The second time we have use Spicers of Hythe for this. Great quality and value.

I have just ordered 96 hampers from Spicers and the service was exceptional. I dealt with a gentleman called Paul Hope and he couldn't be more accommodating. Emails were replied to very promptly. Thank you for a great service. Keep up the good work. Have a good Christmas to you all.

Could not fault Spicers and in particular Robin. I used them to send out over 370 bespoke hampers. There were issues with incorrect addresses but all the way through the process Robin was on the ball and all issues were resolved including re-directions. I can't say how well received these hampers were and made for a special occasion in these unusual / usual? times

I ordered a hamper for Fathers Day, i placed my order from Ireland for an England delivery. Thr hamper had wine, biscuits and cheeses in it. It arrived beautifully presented and on time. Will definately use them again.

The site is also user friendly, and they had a range of hampers, i cannot wait to treat someone else to a hamper another time.

Absolutely shocking, ordered over 140 hampers and they were delivered far later than requested despite chasing 3 times to ensure delivery was going to be on time after expressing how important it was. Poor communication and extremely disappointing first experience, can not imagine how badly they service customers who only order one or two hampers
