Dear SpiceJet Customer Care,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an extremely distressing experience with my booking.
Booking Details:
PNR: EKE6NR
Flight Number: SG106
Route: Mumbai to Delhi
Original Departure: 14 March at 12:30 AM
Sequence of Events:
On the afternoon of 13 March at approximately 3:35 PM, I received a call from SpiceJet informing me that my flight had been delayed to 1:15 AM due to operational reasons.
However, at the same time I received an SMS and boarding pass showing the original departure time of 12:30 AM, creating complete confusion regarding the actual departure timing.
I attempted to contact your customer care team more than 10 times but was unable to get through for several hours.
When I finally managed to connect after considerable effort and time, I was informed that a change had been made to my booking allegedly initiated by me via your website.
I want to clearly state that I had only been checking possible flight options. I had not confirmed any change nor made any payment for such change. Despite this, your system processed a modification and even generated a debit note without any payment authorization.
Instead of acknowledging this technical glitch or assisting with a resolution, your customer care team insisted that I must pay an additional ₹10,000–₹11,000 to return to my original flight.
When I agreed to pay the amount and approached the airport counter, I was then told that I could not be accommodated on the original flight or the next flight either.
Due to the complete lack of assistance and accountability from SpiceJet, I was forced to book a last-minute ticket with another airline in order to reach Delhi.
This entire situation was caused by system errors and miscommunication from SpiceJet, yet I was left stranded and forced to bear additional expenses.
I therefore demand the following:
Full refund of my SpiceJet ticket (PNR EKE6NR)
Reimbursement of the alternate flight I had to book due to SpiceJet’s failure to provide a resolution
A written explanation regarding how a flight change was processed without payment authorization or passenger confirmation
I request that this matter be resolved within 7 working days, failing which I will be compelled to escalate this complaint to the relevant aviation authorities and consumer grievance forums.

If I can any less than 1 star , I would. Worst airlines ever. They like to follow rules but never on time. First airline i came across that considers ladies purse as a part of handbag too . Received worst ever service at Bagdogra airport. I had to scan and shuffle the weight 3 times .Everytime they were not happy with the weight per baggage. I mean really, you are so particular about all the details that passengers need to follow but how about your integrity and punctuality. No wonder their counter was empty while other airlines did not even have space for people to stand.

Spicejet lost my stroller and didn't even care to refund. They just mentioned some other passenger took it therefore they are not liable for lost luggage.
They even gave 1 card to collect it as it came under fragile item then i didn't understand how come some other passenger can take it without showing the card. Also how spicejet is not liable as it was misplaced by them.

I was flying from Ahmedabad to Dubai, and the flight attendant team—especially a crew member named Rahul—provided great hospitality. They served good food and complimentary coffee, and spoke very politely. It was wonderful to have such a caring person on board.

If that wasn't bad enough, they wouldn't allow anyone to use the rest room. To top it off the male cabin crew (we'll call him ROMEO) was flirting and laughing with the blonde senior cabin crew colleague openly. Unprofessional and lacking
On 17 January
On 17 January, my SpiceJet flight (Kolkata ✈️ Hyderabad) was preponed at the last minute.
Because of this airline-initiated change, I reached the airport to find the baggage counter closed.
Despite being within my permitted baggage limit, I was stopped at the boarding gate and forced to pay ₹5,250 or miss the flight.
No announcement.
No assistance.
No option to move baggage to the aircraft hold.
Boarding was still going on. The aircraft hadn’t even departed.
As a single woman traveller, travelling to meet my son studying at IIT Kharagpur, and a school principal by profession, this experience was mentally harassing and humiliating.
Passengers don’t oppose rules.
They oppose being punished for airline failures.
Legal notice issued.
Accountability awaited.

I had an issue with Spicejet in July. I reported a safety concern and sent a video. They investigated and contradicted what the video showed even though it was timestamped andbwas aboard the flight. They also offered no assistance when they cancelled a connecting flight and left passengers arrange their own way out of India as we had bo visas as transit passengers. They offered compensation which was less than the cost of international calls I made regarding the issue. I sent bank info...foolishly..and they did nothing with nothing deposited as promised. Not sure why they would do this but now advised to close.my account by my bank as they have all my info...would you trust them ?. Reported to Nodal Team, Appealatte Authority and Ajay Singh...no interest what so ever in customer care.

Public Appeal & Formal Record: Request for Full Refund on Humanitarian Grounds
This post is to formally highlight the continued non-resolution of my refund grievance with SpiceJet, despite repeated follow-ups.
The travel was impacted due to the demise of my mother, a situation clearly falling under humanitarian grounds. All relevant details were shared with SpiceJet through official grievance channels. However, there was no response initially.
Only after posting earlier on LinkedIn did I receive a mere acknowledgement email from SpiceJet. Since then, there has been complete silence — no update, no decision, no timeline, and no resolution.
In cases involving bereavement, airlines are expected to act with sensitivity, responsibility, and fairness. An acknowledgement without action does not amount to grievance redressal.
I am once again requesting SpiceJet to:
Consider my case on humanitarian grounds
Process a full refund
Provide a clear written response with a defined timeline
Failing this, I will be compelled to pursue further escalation through appropriate regulatory and legal channels, which I would prefer to avoid.
This post is made respectfully and in good faith, solely seeking closure and resolution.

Fly at your peril
Chronically mismanaged airline with perennial operational issues (delayed and cancelled flights). Largely indifferent and clueless employees make the experience even more 'memorable'. The so called value-for-money fares mean nothing if you can't get people from one destination to another in a safe and timely manner - isn't that why you exist? An absolute joke of an airline that really needs its licence revoked. Travellers would be better off without what can generously be described as a mediocre airline who is just in it for the money (any excuse to charge extra), customer experience be damned. AVOID this awful airline at all costs!

I have cancelled the flight from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on the 21th of November. And I was told I will be refunded within 2 weeks. It has been over 3 weeks, no refund. I have emailed the customer service but no reply. This is the worst airline I have experienced. Not sure why the government of India let this company run with so much negative feedback. It's all corruption.
