A relaxed seaside hotel
A relaxed seaside hotel, located and tucked away in the beautiful area of South Sands, Salcombe, South Devon.
A lovely setting, right on the beach front and a ferry service nearby to the town of Salcombe. Should you require a dog friendly comfortable hotel with the waves lapping at the front of the property, with fantastic views of the Salcombe Estuary and the infamous Salcombe Bar then this is the place for you. It is absolutely lovely.
The only negative comments from me are the quirky tin mugs and lack of complimentary biscuits in their rooms.
Quirky tin mugs maybe thought of as "COOL" but they certainly are not to drink hot drinks from!
Breakfast was a amazing, apart from my under cooked insipid sausage and my evening meal on my second day was spoilt as so many of my mussels remained closed and therefore not edible. The desserts on both evenings took a very long time to appear, these are the minor issues that have not given The South Sands Hotel, Salcombe a 5 star rating! I would stay again and it is a very nice hotel.
Just one last comment, the feed back link to Freya Pearce the General Manager, which indicates and states"I would love to hear from you personally just email me at".
Complete (BS) no such luck, it doesn't seem to work!!!
Clearly the GM really isn't interested in taking time to read feedback or answer it, which is a real shame!!
