Amazing Ukulele Store with a brilliant team running it - they are passionate about Uke's, have got fantastic personal relationships with the best Uke makers in the world, play brilliantly, and have all the time in the world to help every customer. Oh, and they organise awesome day workshops on all things Uke. Definitely my go-to Uke store.

SUS are an excellent source of Ukes, accessories and most of all their comprehensive appraisal of various ukes via their YouTube videos.
The service is also first rate. I have recently ordered a uke on Saturday and it was delivered by 10am on Tuesday in Yorkshire.
They offer a comprehensive range of instruments, for all abilities, at competitive prices. Well done all the team at SUS!

Generally, have had good experience with SUS.
Latest order not so good. Received set of Worth BT-LG strings all nicely packaged. All strings fitted ok, bringing them upto pitch, then suddenly "ping" the A string had snapped. Not impressed

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Their expertise is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. After doing a great job of helping me chose the uke of my dreams (Oli concert), they then came to my rescue a few months later when it was accidentally damaged!
Phil did an incredible repair job, on both my uke and my morale (both now as good as new) and I'll be forever grateful for his understanding and excellent craftsmanship.

Do I have to limit it to 5 stars on a scale of 5? Southern Ukulele Store (SUS) was a joy to work with from the questions I had before the purchase to even after I received the Kanilea that I purchased. Romeo helped with all of my questions about this purchase and uke care, and Alex helped with the customs process for delivery to New York. Highest recommendation!!

Great customer service and have the best baritone ukuleles around and at good prices

Pre-Ordered a Flight Aviator, was told they would be available in October. Received a message Sept 15 that it was on the way, it arrived next day. Packaging, comms and instrument setup excellent as always, just tuned it and played. Very happy customer, would recommend and will use again.

I took my ubass in to the store to be restrung with flatwounds. I received an excellent service from SUS from start to finish. I was impressed by their great communication (both internally and customer facing), their speed of service and their kindness.
I had called ahead to make sure they could do the job and when I arrived at the store several days later I was amazed to find they remembered my call and were expecting me (even though they were super busy with the workshop going on)! They had to order in the strings and I asked them to post the instrument back to me. They did all of this in a matter of a few working days and I soon had the instrument back safely. Also, they did not charge me anything for labour (!) as the strings were quite expensive which was incredibly kind of them. Absolutely amazing service. A real pleasure to do business with.

I put in an advance order for the new Flight Aviator slimline baritone after seeing Alex's excellent review, and it arrived very promptly indeed, way ahead of the predicted arrival date (but I suppose SUS are wise to hold back a little in case of unexpected delays).
The uke is a little beauty, and sooo light. The volume is good, the sustain excellent, and access to the dusty end so easy. Construction is much like the Revelators in that the body is hollowed out from solid pieces, and the book matching and figuring on the solid mango top is a joy.
For the first ten minutes of playing I found a little less room at the nut than I am used to with my Kala Spruce baritone, but I quickly adapted and it is not a problem. I'm also used to Worth Browns on my baritones, so was surprised how the wound strings projected themselves better - I mean, the Worths are definitely not muddy, but I now have more attack on the D and G strings and find myself having to show a little restraint on them to give the B and E strings an equal presence.
All in all an excellent uke, well built and priced, and highly recommended.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a flight carabao lite baritone in spruce/mango. My third ukulele from SUS. I am so knocked out by the build quality, finish and set up, not to mention the sweet tone and more than ample volume that I decided to purchase the tenor version to replace my all solid uke which is sweet but very introvert. Once again guided by the team demo I chose the all mango version this time. Once again I am totally knocked out by the quality and sound of this instrument. These two ukuleles are stayers. My heart desired an Enya Nova U polycarbonate ukulele. As it is a somewhat niche product I failed to find a supplier in Ireland. Since Brexit, our UK neighbour has become a very difficult trading partner. Luckily I located Southern Ukulele Store. They ship to the EU (with UPS) whilst making all the Brexit annoyances appear invisible. Prices and product range are superior to their British competitors. Southern Ukulele Store are good people to deal with, you may trade with complete confidence.

Fantastic Inspiring SUS Takeover Event today. Great line-up and useful workshops. Fun day out highly recommend.

Well where to start. I’ve been looking to start playing bass for a while and decided ukulele bass was for me. My local shops didn’t have what I wanted so I decided SUS was the one to go to. Was it worth the traffic and the 3.5 hour drive you bet it was. We had a warm welcome and Romeo was brilliant. He listened to what I was thinking and then gave me several different styles and makes of bases to try. There was no pressure to pick a certain style or make and no pressure to make a decision. We felt we could take our time and we really appreciated that. I was able to keep trying different basses swapping between them which wasn’t an issue and this really helped me make my mind up. Then in walked a guy from Canada on his last day of his holiday. I was thinking he was going to buy a lovely electric uke but no I guess he just wanted to jam. He asked if he could try the bass I had decided on as he normally played bass. So he and Romeo had a mini jam session. We sat back on the very comfy sofa and just listened. Was great to hear both of them play. Romeo then helped my daughter to find a ukulele for her. He really put her at ease (she doesn’t do new people). Again he let her try different sizes and tunings of ukes but he could tell she wasn’t quite convinced. So he suggested a baritone. He started playing it and there was an instant smile. That was the one for her. I can’t recommend SUS enough. Really helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere great knowledge and advice. Thank you. We will be returning.

Romeo hosted me really well and patiently took me through the options for my new tenor ukulele. I'm really pleased with the one I chose and was surprised at just how clear the differences were between different models and also between the different tone woods.

I took my new L Luthier Le Manga C along to lesson #2 of my beginners workshop series this morning, and our teacher was really impressed with it. I enjoyed the full, singing sound and also the space on the fretboard which is letting me finger the chords much more easily than I managed on my grandfather's 100 year old soprano.
