I stupidly didn't research properly due to our need for a mobility scooter quickly for my 87 year old mum, and fell for this scammer! However we fell for Wayne Jones' other pseudonym Dorset Wheelchair Services. Same MO send the money by bacs, communication by gmail. No scooter delivered, van broke down....
Don't fall for it like stupid me, it ruined my mum's holiday. I wonder if he has an elderly mother or father? Shame on him whoever he is!! (This has now been reported by me to the NCSC for review of this site to possibly take it down).

Be warned, this company is a scam. I will spell it out: SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I paid £300 to have two scooters delivered in August to a holiday park in Dorset. On arrival, there were no scooters; the staff at reception told me that they have had trouble with them before. When I contacted Dorset wheelchair hire, they apologised and said they would call me back, but no call came. Later just received a text saying they had received an abusive phone call and have refunded the money in full. I am still trying to get my £300 back. So avoid them like the plague. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My mom ordered a mobility scooter for my dad, and agreed with them for it to be delivered by 1pm; when they were due to check in. When they arrived at the site there was no scooter waiting for them at the reception.
When this company was called they were told the “Van had broken down and they will “call them back.” They never phoned back and then her son-in-law called and a different person answered, again there was no clear answer whether a scooter would be delivered. And when called a 3rd time, a different person answered again, and there was STILL no clear answers on whether one would be delivered. When they were called out that they were scammers, they were met with laughter down the phone.
My mom paid up £110 up front for the elusive scooter and when she asked for a refund -via phone and email- they made a weak claim that they would refund her. I would implore you DO NOT USE these crooks, shop around for a more reputable company, my mom wished she had.

Do not use this company. Scooter was not delivered due to an issue on their end. Repeatedly told I would be refunded for the scooter but I have not received it.
Wish I had looked for the other reviews as I don’t think I’ll ever get my money back!

DO NOT USE - SCAM regret not doing my homework better before booking. Wayne was very nice and helpful on the phone and I made my booking and paid. Arrived at Centre Parcs and no scooter had been delivered. Not answering the phone or emails.

Wanted to hire a mobility scooter for an upcoming event, I was advised that the scooters were available and that they would be delivered on Friday for the Saturday function. We paid over the phone and I was advised I would receive a confirmation email. No email arrived and when the Friday came neither did the scooter. After finally getting hold of the company, I was told we apparently booked the wrong date!! Which made no sense because the date he was suggesting for delivery was a Monday and he specifically told me he would drop it off on the Friday. At no point did he apologise for the mix up, I am now waiting for a refund. My friend was also let down by this company, she had received an email but there was no confirmation of hire dates on the email she received. We have both been let down, I would avoid this company!!! Extremely unreliable.

Fraud or scam either way I hired 2 mobility scooters for 5 days as my husband and our friend can’t walk far. On arrival at our hotel 2 wheelchairs that needed someone to push them had been left. I can’t push my husband as I have cardiac problems and my friend couldn’t push her husband either. We couldn’t get hold of the company to speak to but they sent me an email saying that previous hirers had broken them! Not my problem I had a contract for 2 mobility scooters not wheelchairs. Still awaiting my refund of £190! Please don’t use them. It appears they have done this at our hotel on other occasions. Also said they would charge me an extra £60 as the wheelchairs were not there when he went to collect them as if I would want two scruffy ones when I had a good one at home bought for my mother in law. As a result we hired 2 mobility scooters from another company who were able to deliver the next morning. It really spoilt what should have been a relaxing break for us. Wayne Jones is a Con artist! Avon and Somerset police informed and trading standards is in the process of being done. Also wouldn’t accept a credit card for payment only bank transfer.

I booked a mobility scooter from here and arranged a time it would be dropped off.
Never turned up at that time but found out he dropped it off earlier then said.
No one showed me how to use it although I know how to use them.
The mobility scooter wasn’t in a fit stage at all
There was no basket at front of scooter, wiring was taped up as split in it, scooter back seat to far back, temperamental on speed and other parts of scooter was rusty or split.
Messaged for a replacement but advised couldn’t do so told him to collect it as not in fit state or safe state to use. Hadn’t collected it after I left the holiday
He pressures you to hire as says got other people wanting scooter if you don’t pay now. Doesn’t keep the same price for hiring to. He charges didn’t prices for the same length of time
Payments taken via personal bank transfer and not in company name.
Never answers the number on the website if you call it as well

My mother booked 2 mobility scooters from this company, paid over £200 to use for a week at centre parks with her grandchildren, she's disabled and unable to get around freely, once she arrived , there was no sign of the scooters, no email, messages to say they were arriving or had arrived, nothing, its been a few days into the week at centre parks, my mother has been unable to get around and enjoy the park with her grandchildren, the holiday wasn't cheap either, this has spoilt her holiday, upon checking the company website, it shows no booking system, no fees information, no company information just some pictures of wheelchairs, mobility scooters a mobile number to call and a list of locations they allegedly cater for and a terms and conditions page which again shows no name or company information, they want payment through revolute only, my mother didn't receive a booking reference, the only email she got was to say the payment went through revolute and the email address of this company ended with a Gmail account not a company email, they are not registered, only a first name was given ' Wayne' they have listed their website under several website names all with the same limited information, I will be reporting them to Trading Standards, I have enough evidence to pass to them, i highly recommend you go with a legit company who provides a real booking system not just a dodgy mobile number to call, is transparent and can provide genuine company information, show the team who will be serving you, show the equipment a registered company number and so on, this type of trading is rouge and a scam, please be aware
