Very good service

We expected market leading quality and service from Solid Sheds, but unfortunately we feel let down. On the day of installation, the team arrived without the roof of our tool tidy and had to come back to install one which, judging from the way the felt was laid and the adhesive bled (it is still doing so), I suspect was made in a rush. A split length of wood was also attached to the door and had to be replaced when the team returned to try to sort out the roof felt. Despite the friendliness of everyone at Solid Sheds, I couldn't honestly recommend the company.

Good Quality Build. All staff from Sales to Delivery & Construction (on site) were polite, friendly and professional. Recommend.

We spent about 12 months trying to find a shed design (it’s quite big 19 foot x 12 foot) and a company we were happy with. We were very impressed with Solid Sheds, Simon (Leyland branch) went through all the design options and couldn’t have been more helpful. A date was then fixed for Solid Sheds staff to remove the old shed and build the new one giving me time in between to ensure the base was level and ready for the new shed. Everything ran like clockwork and the Solid Shed staff did a great job removing the old shed and building the new one. We are really pleased with the new shed and would highly recommend them.

We ordered a small summerhouse from Solid Sheds and everything was seamless from placing the order with Ken at Ladygreen Garden Centre through to the the finished build.
We opted to pay £699 for the Electric Package and again James from Eaton Electrical Solutions arrived early and completed the job to a high standard within half a day.
The only disappointment came when we asked for an estimate for James to connect to our house mains which runs to the back of the garden shed, a matter of yards from the new summerhouse. Although we expected to pay extra we didn’t expect it to be as much as £450, which included £300 labour charge.
We declined the estimate, and it is the only reason I haven’t awarded a 5 star review.

Mel from Solid Sheds at High Legh Garden Centre couldn't have been more helpful. He went above and beyond to give us the best experience in purchasing the shed. He was open, honest, informative and not pushy (as some sales people can be). I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

The guys to came to put up the shed were great too.

Just had an 8x7 pent shed installed by Solid Sheds (to compliment the 14x7 one we previously bought). Perfect help over the phone to purchase and organise delivery (as unfortunately the Trowell garden centre show room is no longer there :( ). Jiri and his team were friendly, helpfully and did a great job putting up the shed.

I highly recommend this company.

Had our 6x4 shed delivered & built last Friday by Gerry & mate (think that was his name, lost in translation). They were great. Started putting shed up in now time. Very friendly & polite, even undid some screws I could not reach in fence for me. Would recommend Solid Sheds every time. Simon, who took the order,Leyland branch, very helpful from order to delivery. Will be ordering from here again.

We didn’t hesitate, based on past experience, to make Solid Sheds our first port of call for a sturdy 16ft x 12ft workshop. It seems though that much has changed over 10 years …. After 4 months of hassle involving leaks and window issues we have our refund and the shed has gone.
While it’s true that Solid Sheds have responded and made numerous visits in an effort to get to the root of the problem , their attitude to us as customers during those visits has been pretty shameful . As problems persisted they became increasingly annoyed and resorted to comments such as ‘any other company would have walked away by now ‘… the actual words of a Company Director .On their last visit they pronounced the workshop watertight … 5 minutes later they were asked to explain the shafts of light which we’d identified at the central major joint when we peered through the incomplete cladding and insulation . Their response was ‘it’ll be clear silicone ‘. On removal of the outer cover strip we were ( and they were ) stunned to see a gap of up to an inch from top to bottom - no alignment of panels - no cross bracing - no silicone - just daylight and a view from the inside of next doors garden . We effectively had a workshop which resembled a loaf with a slice removed in the middle . When we ordered the workshop we relied on their assurances in the brochure that the building would be suitable for machinery … the shed turned out to unsuitable for any purpose whatsoever . Yes, lots of good reviews for standard sized sheds but beware those who need something on a larger scale - I don’t believe fora minute the company have the necessary skills in design and construction . The excuses over the weeks have been exasperating - ‘you need a gutter ‘- ‘no shed is waterproof‘- ‘it’s rain splashing up from the ground ‘…., what they failed to do was identify a blatant fail in construction on the day the workshop was erected… attention to detail is no better on current website where they have failed to proof read , describing their sturdy ‘worktops ‘ as opposed to ‘workshops ‘… oh dear . Having been treated over 4 months as an irritation and pest by this company they deserve an honest , detailed review from us . They need to get back to the drawing board if they wish to extend to larger buildings but, above all, improve on how they interact with one another as a team and their customers when things go pear shaped . Customer Services haven’t been the problem here. They have been efficient throughout. The problems lie with those in charge.

A company that actually did exactly as promised! Kept to dates, turned up early, got the jobs done very quickly and efficiently.
All the guys were very polite, and did a very tidy job, no mess, no fuss excellent!

Ordered a 12x8 shed from Solid sheds in Newbank garden centre.
I spoke to Gerry who was very helpful and knowledgeable and helped me to adapt the shed to meet my needs.
Arrived the day it was arranged, the fitters arrived on time, were friendly and professional, as well as being tidy.
From ordering to completion, it was a very good experience. I would definitely recommend Solid sheds.

Paid £1100 for a shed roof started to leak reported it to solid sheds came out to fix it but didn't solve the problem and now thay don't want to know. Really verry poor.never again

Solid Sheds are AMAZING!!
It will be 2 years in March when we bought our Summer House which was erected professionally by 2 staff who were fantastic, quick and friendly. We love the summer house and use it regularly with our family. First class!
We bought a shed approximately 15 years ago from SOLID SHEDS which is still as good as new !!! The guys erected it so quickly, professionally and ensured we were happy with the shed before leaving. First class workmanship.
Our son has just bought a shed which was again delivered, erected professionally by 2 men, nothing was too much trouble for them. Again first class workmanship.

This is the second shed I have had from solid sheds and I'm delighted with both. Customer service personnel are friendly and really helpful and are not pushy in any way and listen to what you want.

Cannot praise Solid Sheds highly enough. They supplied my Ultra Garden Room and from initial contact to installation and after care service they have been second to none. Had a couple of issues with the garden room quite some time later but they did not hesitate to send someone out to rectify them several years after installation, no quibbles, they go above and beyond. 100% would recommend.
