Been today to smc to have my 2 year service and habitation warrenty check done,would just like thank you for the work done, and thank you to nigel in sales for the time while looking at a new upgrade hope to speak soon.

Yesterday my wife and I picked up the second A Class Motorhome that we have purchased from SMC Motorhomes in Newark. From start to finish, the service and attention that we have received has been exceptional.
It always encourages us to see just how happy and engaging all of the staff are when we visit, never too busy to say hello or offer a smile. It is clear that everyone remains happy and engaged during their working day.
We must say a special thank you Nigel Lintin (Sales Executive) for the help and support given to us across what proved to be a very tight delivery timetable.
To the workshop team, our thanks goes to all of you for ensuring that the added extras we needed on our new motorhome were fitted and operational in time. I know you worked late some evenings to guarantee that we met our collection date.
To Lee, many thanks for the orientation of our new motorhome yesterday. Industry knowledge coupled with polite service and dialogue goes a very long way in our eyes.

Back in October 2025 we are recommended to SMC Newark, where we bought a 2025 Globecar Summit Prime 600, we were very clear on the van we wanted & the styling etc. paid a £4k deposit, all very exciting.

However, alarm bells started to ring as the handover day approached, we were aware of a number interior fit out upgrades, on the 2025 vans, the salesman was asked over particular details on a number of occasions both verbally and & in writing. He either avoided the questions, or as later transpired blatantly did not tell the truth, trying to fob us off with all manor of excuses.

Handover day came & our worst fears came true, the van that was presented to us was not a 2025 spec. facelift Ducato with the latest styling, interior spec changes etc. It was clearly an old van that was sat in a compound somewhere. Needless to say we explained the situation to SMC/Salesman, he agreed we should have been informed that it was not the 2025 facelift Ducato, therefore we mutually agreed that the best plan was to walk away from the deal as they could not supply another van for 12months plus.

We were assured that we would get our full deposit returned as the van was not as required, all we had to do was formally request this in writing which we duly did. We left SMC extremely upset, we later went on to look at other vans. 2 weeks went by then SMC informed us that we would not be getting any money back as the van we were presented with was deemed as acceptable, & was identical to the one in the showroom that we apparently made an informed decision & purchase agreement on. Interesting how that was a Peugeot base not a Fiat!!

Needless to say this was going to get messy as there is no way SMC were having us over for £4k. An email, followed by written warning of legal proceedings, were both ignored, this was due to br followed up by a Court order to reclaim the money. However, this was not necessary as my bank took up the case under the "Chargeback scheme" & have recovered all of my money.
Needless to say we will never be stepping foot in SMC again & I would advise anyone reading this to proceed with caution.

We have since purchased a 2025 van from another dealer specced as it should have been, & enjoying it immensely. So it all came good in the end.

Just picked up autosleeper burford, our 2nd mercedes motorhome in 4 years from this fantasticly well oiled outfit. From Chris the salesman who negotiated a good deal for both parties meeting every need we required.Big thanks to the mechanics, valeting staff, handover guy Spike and all involved in the seamless transaction. We recently bought a used Motorhome from SMC. We were really pleased with the service we received, and were given an excellent detailed handover when we picked it up. A couple of weeks later we returned, just to sort out a few very minor warranty issues, and once again we received courteous service, and all the issues were sorted very efficiently. First annual hab and leak check and an oil change was an excellent experience that reinforced our positive (5*) motorhome purchase experience last year. Special thanks to Lydia, Amy, Marcin and his team, and if course Chris Pullen in sales who was so good with our initial purchase. As ever, they were all incredibly helpful, confidence inspiring and patient with our questions. Recommended!

I have had my motor home for a year now, i've found the after service fantastic, in the early months I had a few minor problems and there was nothing that was too much for them or I should say Warren, still loving my motor home but with a week left on the warranty I found what I considered a major fault, I contacted Warren at SMC, there was no problem to SMC, I dropped the vehicle off and collected it the following weekend, on the service I have received, when i am due to change my motor home SMC will be first on my list as their after service goes above and beyond..

A very friendly, personal experience from start to finish. We started our journey with SMC a little bitter sweet. Our much loved motorhome, Kidz was taken to SMC for extensive attention following being stolen and recovered. Our emotions were all over the place,
angry at the theft and sad that my connection with Kidz had been stolen by the thieves who thought it ok to help their selves to someone else's property. All has come good because we decided to start again with a new motorhome. Neil at SMC has been truly amazing in helping us choose the perfect vehicle
for us. He spent so much time with us making it a truly personal experience. He is professional but has such a personality that makes the experience enjoyable. We collected Dottie the Pilote yesterday and spent a night at Smeatons lake hospitality of SMC , the evening proved to be interesting and took us back to SMC today. Neil kept into action and we were
soon on our way to take Dottie home to start her life with us, exploring and traveling, making memories to cherish forever. Thank you SMC but a massive thank you to Neil.

We bought a campervan in December. Great customer service from all staff involved. We got lots of advice ( at the motorhome show) without feeling pressurized to buy. Van arrived quickly and we were kept informed throughout. Pick up was great. Good hand over with lots of information and instruction on how to operate the new vehicle. We had a slight hiccup in that we had to return it for a small warranty issue ( no fault of smc) and this was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Looking forward to getting out in our new van and exploring. Thanks smc.

Tried to purchase a auto sleeper corinium they have I stock 10 months ago they still have it because they wanted top price and want to give nothing for your part ex

Very poor after sales service, warranty jobs carried out to appalling standards, have to take back for re-doing. They Had moho 2 weeks had to phone up for an update, to be told bothing had been done. Avoid this place

The service department (Howard) needs to return calls ! I've given up waiting, the parts department is the same. But wait if you want to get through to buy a new motorhome - no problem. Good luck getting any repairs done.

I would like to extend a big thank you to Warren and the team in the Servicing Department. Unfortunately, my new Frankia was not without problems, but a phone call to Warren set the resolution process in motion. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for him, and he kept me informed at every stage. He even liaised directly with Frankia's technical people in Germany to find answers to the solar charging problem. This is the third motorhome I have purchased from SMC because their aftersales is second to none. Thanks again, Warren and everyone in your team, I cannot fault your customer service skills. And a big thank you also to Nigel Lintin in sales for ensuring our order went smoothly.

We recently purchased our first Motorhome from SMC. It's a new to us AS Bourton and priced perfectly for a well looked after outfit of it's age. From the moment we walked into the dealership everyone from top to bottom were helpful, informative and enthusiastic. Service Dept replaced mirrors that were corroded without be asked to, handover with Paul and Mark was particularly informative and helpful with an on the spot repair when a faulty skylight was discovered. Our sales exec, Simon Hayes, kept us informed right up to pickup and the First Trip Hamper was such a treat. We are looking forward to our retirement travels - thanks to everyone at SMC - can honestly recommend them to anyone.

Hi, my wife and myself bought a used Swift Rio 320 motorhome from SMC in January 2024 and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with the Company. From the point when the motorhome was viewed on the pitch to amicable negotiations over price and the 'deal', all the way through to the high level of detailed preparation and valeting of the motorhome and the thorough handover, the service was first class and we can totally recommend the business to those looking to buy a new or used motorhome. A1 service from beginning to end and the high level of professional and well co-ordinated service from member of sales, admin, pre-delivery, valet and handover made for a pain free and totally enjoyable expereince, 5 stars! We have enjoyed the motorhome for several weeks now, there have been no problems, no faults, no return visits, just happy travels. Testament to a business that does it right. Thank you.

We bought a brand new Globecar Summit Prime from SMC, from the day we collected it things went wrong. SMC response to the issues were poor, we were constantly travelling back to Nottingham. Time off work and fuel cost and no recompense.
I would not recommend SMC or Globecar.
