Impossible to book appointment and finish your course! Avoid!!

I bought a course of 6 laser treatments in January. Each treatment is meant to be done every 2-4 weeks, but I’ve encountered so many issues with my appointments. My last schedule was cancelled on the day and I was informed the next slot available is in 2 months time. Twice this has happened to me now. Clearly they are overstretched and presumably inundated with groupon appointments, but they should prioritise existing clients. All they seem to care about is upselling courses. Once they have your money you’ll struggle to get treatment.

Sorry, how can you operate like this? I wish I never bothered with this salon

I have been trying to book an…

I have been trying to book an appointment for over a month, no ones replies. I want a refund for my remaining sessions asap so i can go elswhere as the service isnt what it should be. I ended up with severe burn marks aswell from last sessions. No one picks up on any of the numbers shown on the website.

Unprofessional and Damaging.

I have had over 18 sessions of laser hair removal since 2023 and have only been treated with the correct laser setting for my last 2-3 sessions. All previous sessions were treatments on incorrect settings which were doing nothing for my hair but instead gave my cystic acne and further hair issues. I was shaving twice weekly and telling the staff in my sessions that I am concerned why the hair growth is far worse than it was when I started laser and it was not noticed. Everything was ‘hormonal’ to the staff treating me. I ended up taking consultations with dermatologists and taking prescribed medication for acne and my hormones yet there was no change in my cystic acne as the cause was not internal but actual the laser I was being treated with.

I took a break for a few months from laser and my acne calmed down. When I went back to my sessions and explained AGAIN what has been happening, I was told there is definitely no issue with the laser treatments.

On one occasion when I mentioned how upsetting my skin and acne scars were in a laser removal session, I was offered a hydrafacial. A hydrafacial immediately after my laser treatment? I obviously said no.

I then went on to be treated by the incorrect laser setting for a further few sessions until the staff changed.

When the staff changed and I met with 2 different therapists. Both went and check my records and advised I was being treated on a different laser to the one that I should have been treated on. They finally corrected the laser settings and my hair growth has calmed down and I am no longer reacting to the treatments so badly.

However, I am not sure why my settings were changed? Why was I not notified they were being changed? Who asked them to change them?

The therapist who now treats me is amazing and offered me a big discount to buy a further 6 sessions. Whilst I am grateful to her, I will not be buying more sessions.

I will be expecting a refund for my sessions that have been wasted and damaging to my skin/hair and mental health over the past 2 years. Not to forget the amount of time I have spent trying to find a fix for my ‘skin condition’ when reality there I nothing wrong with my skin but rather the treatments themselves.

I have written emails to skinspaceUK and mentioned this situation on many occasions during my appointments, yet no one is providing an answer and the manager never seems to be around when I ask for her during my appointments.

It is so unprofessional that my personal treatment was changed and I was not made aware nor was this major mistake picked up on. I have been paying for a treatment that is not right for me and was never considered as right for me in my initial consultation. Yet now that I am being treated with the originally recommended laser/ setting, all is normal.

Had my patch test with Dee and she walked me through everything very thoroughly and was really friendly professional and warm. I trust her to carry out my treatments and am looking forward to the results!

I was always really nervous having laser with darker skin tone but since having it done with D she makes me feel really comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone whose not has it done before

BEWARE

BEWARE of false and misleading information. Make sure you do thorough research and DO NOT rely on their word. I’ve just wasted £900 for ZERO results. Read ALL of the small print. The treatment is NOT guaranteed to work and the have a NO REFUND policy. This in itself proves they are not confident in their treatments.

Laser with Dee

I had a great laser session with Dee! She was professional, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. She explained everything clearly and ensured I was comfortable at all times. The session was efficient, and I’m really happy with the results so far. Highly recommend Dee for anyone considering laser treatment!

FALSE CLAIMS

Diabolical mis leading and blatantly open lies. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FAT FREEZING IT DOES NOT WORK. I've paid almost £900 and seen ZERO results.

I have since researched this as I did not see results. It appears my BMI is too high for the treatment (34), but this was not discussed at any consultation. £900 wasted. The fact they hide the no guarantee and no refund policy in the mass of small print is now evidently self explanatory. Please, please do thorough research into this before signing up. I got a Groupon voucher for a trial session so assumed it was verified.

On top of this, the constant attempts at upselling is nauseating. I told them numerous times I was not in a financial position to have any further treatments and they knew I had got this 12week package on a finance plan, offered by them!!!

Regarding this reply, false and misleading again, your staff obviously have a problem with telling the true story, on numerous occasions I said I was not seeing any results. I did have a facial and intended to use the remaining sessions for that but I was told I would need 12 sessions to see results so that would have been more money wasted. I also got the finance company to request PARTIAL refund but you refused that as well. I feel it is my moral duty to let other people know my situation and encourage them to fully research the process before parting with any money. My income is less than £1000 a month so I took a loan out for this treatment in the hope it would help my mental health if I lost some belly fat, it in fact made things a lot worse for me. As the late Queen said, recollections may vary!!

Their laser treatment is not suited for…

Their laser treatment is not suited for melanin skin.

First session was horrendous and the support team was able to get that send back to me. The second session was better and gave me hope the treatment will work but it didn’t.

Just like before they wouldn’t treat the whole area, 5 days after the treatment I got ingrown hair that developed in to huge cysts. I exfoliate regularly especially if I used a normal razor to get that clean shave that is required for laser, I have tried witch hazel, tea tree and glycolic acid but nothing works.

They have stated laser does not cause the ingrown hair, however its is a by product of the ineffectiveness of the treatment, because none of the lasers hair is shedding as expected.
With my previous laser(laser clinic Westfield ) I saw 80% hair shedding with in 3 weeks and this was only after the first session. The hair did grow back with minimum ingrown hair and not a single one resulted in cysts.

I did my research and discovered laser can cause these cysts in people with coarse or curly hair, especially those with darker skin tones, the cause for the difference in my results is the different laser technology which using different wavelengths or cooling techniques which has reacted differently on your skin and hair.

The experience and results I’m getting are completely different from my previous experience with laser and my expectations have not been meet, I absolutely regret giving in to the pressure and buying additional session on the first day I came for my consultation.

They have not provided any solution and I’m still not convinced this treatment works for my skin. I will keep monitoring the process independently if no improvements are seen I will raise a formal complaint with a third party dispute

As previously discussed, laser hair removal is a gradual process, and two sessions alone will not be sufficient to achieve full results.

As stated in our consultation and from your discussions with the support team, we recommend a minimum of 12 sessions to effectively reduce hair growth in the treated area. Results can vary from person to person, and consistency is key to achieving the best outcome.

Stacey, a very special person

A friend recommended Stacey at SkinSpace, Earls Court, to perk up the sagging skin on my face. I was not disappointed. I left her salon my face glowing like never before.
Stacey immediately put me at ease in her chic and comfortable salon. She talked me through the procedure as she went along wielding her magic devices to cleanse the skin, light therapy to improve texture and finally radio frequency to build collagen. It was altogether a most enjoyable experience.
I have completed 6 sessions for my face and have had the best massage I've ever had.
Stacey is lovely; she's friendly, natural and welcoming. I feel I have got to know her well enough to say that Stacey is clearly very experienced. She loves her job and her clients. She is a very special person.
I would recommend her without reservation.
