Card trickery
This restaurant is called Bon Appetite! It is located in Viprazar outside of Bar, on the tranzit road towards Podgorica.
1. Menu - nothing photographed is what will be served. Clearly states that images are illustrative and thus reality, will be disappointingly different.
2. On menu is statement that a MANDATORY 10% is applied for service tip. It isn’t a tip if it is mandatory.
3. A trick here is claim the visa/mastercard terminal broke that day. The story is so familiar, that it far from unique. The government knows that many businesses dealing in cash under report earnings to lower tax liability. Thus, claiming a terminal is unavailable forces cash payments.
That happened to me today. The terminal “broke” just before I arrived and I was directed to use the private ATM nearby that charges upwards of €10 for foreign cards. I disagreed. Suddenly the “broken” terminal was available. When discussing the service, all employees denied experience and stated today was first day at work. They forgot that I had been there several times over the past five years.
The “manager” claimed the terminal “broke” again as my card was charged.
I advised them that the first review would be posted for this service and play on the customer for payment by cards.
