Chris Strange is an outright bully and he and Claire Strange are liars!
• He left me and my children without a working boiler for 5 months over the winter period (Feb-July, the year we were hit with "The Beast from the East") yet HOUNDED me to pay full rent.
• Chris is a certified gas safety engineer, yet he told I'd have to WAIT until another engineer was back from his holiday in Greece for my boiler to be fixed. It was in such disrepair, the boiler needed replacing in the end!
• Chris turned up unannounced, blocking me on my driveway, to threaten me in front of my children before school, leaving me distressed and in floods of tears.
• He illegally rented a property to me from 2014-2017 that had faulty wiring in the utility room that caused plugs to melt within the wall sockets.
• He told me to lean out of my bedroom window to fix the broken guttering pipe myself, and because he didn't call on the correct contractors at the time, I had a damp, mouldy living room wall for four years.
• I was told by Chris that if I ask the landlord (Samuel D. Field) for too much too soon (repair wise) the landlord will just get less fussy tenants in, so requests were shelved. This resulted in one of the trees in the garden smashing through the neighbour's fence panels (on BOTH sides) during a storm, which Chris failed to rectify with them.
• He left me with a smashed/partially missing bathroom window for nearly two years and only got the windows and doors changed when the front and back wooden doors kept sticking (due to expanding) and would not open at all, leaving me and my children with no available fire exits for several months.
• He and his wife, Claire, fabricated a story that my neighbours filed a formal complaint against me when I would not comply with their demands, yet when I requested to see some sort of proof, neither of them could provide ANY evidence of said complaint and instead ignored my request all together.
• The conservatory roof leaked for six and a half years, damaging countless items of my stored property, and it is STILL not fixed/finished up! Several shoddy attempts to fix the roof with cheap labour saw roof panels blown several gardens down in high winds!
• The external wall of the conservatory gets damp and will trip the electrics throughout the house, so there is no working electrics out there. Good job really, the lights are are attached to the wall with sealant, not screws! This issue had been noted several times with them by myself and their own contractors and they failed to rectify it. Essentially, I paid full rent for a property I could not make full use of for nearly 8 years.
• I was being bullied to allow the people that made up lies and threatened me, into my home to inspect the issues that had already been observed and noted on the last inspection, been mentioned by previous contractors, and they have photographic evidence of. They asked me my boundaries and I made them aware I was not comfortable having either of them around myself or my children after the distress they caused with their lies/threats, and to arrange for someone else to come and inspect the work..
THEY REFUSED TO DO SO!
THEY SAID I WAS BEING NON-COMPLIANT, THAT I WAS THE ONE REFUSING TO WORK WITH THEM!
• Mould was left to spread across the kids bedroom for 3 months before Chris sent anyone out to sort it, knowing full well my son is on an inhaler too.
• Despite my contract stating to call Chris in an emergency 24 hours a day, he left me with a burst flexi pipe in the bathroom at 10:30pm that flooded the kitchen and damaged the flooring and more of my property. No stopcock in the house either! Instead he sent me a smug text the next day with his office opening hours!

...and this is only a fraction of what I've endured over the last 8 years!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ROGUE LANDLORD OR HIS SHODDY BUSINESS AT ALL!!!

I also received a disgusting amount of abuse from Chris when I vacated the property, laughing in my face and calling me a c*nt, so I WILL be taking him to court over all of this!!
