I have bought from this company’s shops on several occasions but this is the first time that I have bought on line I would have no hesitation of ordering from them this way again

I was absolutely thrilled when I opened the box and saw the beautiful brooch I had ordered for a friend's birthday. It was exquisitely made and I could almost make out the expression on the horse's face. One I have seen in real life many times. Not only was the jewellery beautiful but the service was excellent too.

Staff very helpful, had a bit of an issue getting my product but when my ring arrived it was brilliant, staff kept me informed

I had to return one item (amethyst ring) from my order as the colour of the stone was not as per the catalogue. I was offered an exchange up to £10 more than the value, which was good and I found one a bit more than that but used the £10 voucher I'd had with my original order. I was able to return it Freepost and I was kept up-to-date by Sunny with progress. My alternative ring was turned around by Sunny in 24 hours and I was surprised to find not only was a £5 voucher enclosed but a lovely amethyst keyring! How's that for service?

I ordered four items from the company and my experience was mixed. The owl on a branch paua shell brooch is beautiful, as are the oval paua shell Celtic hook earrings. I was disappointed with the marquise paua shell pendant as the drop was much smaller than I had expected. The Celtic Tree of Life pendant was already tarnished when it arrived. The lady whom I phoned to place the order was very polite but, even though I read out the sale price of each item, she did not notice that the computer was recording the original price in some cases, therefore the total came to about £60 greater than I had expected and I had to query it. She could not amend the system straightaway and had to phone me back. I would recommend that the computer system is kept updated to be consistent with catalogue and internet prices. Also, twice the assistant told me there would be a postage charge of £3.95, so twice I had to correct her as the order came to over £100 and therefore the postage should have been free. I was sent two £5 vouchers which cannot be used together to reduce the price of a new order, instead of being sent one £10 voucher as indicated in the catalogue. I was also sent a different free gift from the one I had ordered even though the assistant had not told me the one I had chosen was not available (in which case, I would have chosen something different from the one which arrived which is of no use to me). I would recommend that the company takes more care to get details correct. (The "date of experience" I have submitted is the date on the invoice.)

Having used Shipton's for many years. Special occasions. Anniversaries. Birthdays. But also for the ". Just because gifts" Those times when words aren't quite enough. And the choices given by Shiptons have never been less than 100%successful. Costs, service and an all round brilliant customer satisfaction

The bracelet was a gift for my daughter in law and she is delighted with it.
The chain is delicate and sparkly and adjusts well to her wrist.
One star less because it did not arrive swiftly, but I was able to give it to her before her return to Australia
