Highly Recommend

I just had my conservatory replaced by Shaws and I cannot fault the excellent service. They were polite, and tidied up after themselves. I love my new conservatory and look forward to enjoying it in the summer.

Window replacement

Further to my positive review yesterday I would like to say thank you to Robin and Dan. I have never seen such work with power tools and skill with assembly! Cheers to the young lads who worked so hard. Music taste needs working on😀

Shaws recently replaced all my windows

Shaws recently replaced all my windows and doors, including two bay windows, at my home in Hova Villas, and I’m absolutely delighted with the result. The team went above and beyond throughout the process—everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, always taking the time to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with the finished work.

Amazing Service and Quality Products
Recently had a Porch and rear Aluminium Doors and large Picture window installed. Amazing service from the start. Great experience from the sales to the office to the actual installation. This is the second time I have used Shaws and would definitely use for any future products and would 100% recommend. Great local family run company.

Clean up after yourselves!

Clarifications based on feedback below (prior and current). I would have removed this feedback completely until they decided to make misleading statements & insinuations: Next door had their windows replaced yesterday. While tearing out the old woodwork they showered the surrounding area with literally 1000s of small cream and blue paint chips and painted wood fragments. There are still 100s of paint chips and painted wood fragments on and around the site. I called 3 times to have it cleaned up and they miscommunicated to their team requiring several visits. Having a sarcastic workman ask me which specific flakes I would like removed was unprofessional and all their conversation was recorded on our doorbell camera. Stating any of it was from our non-flaking, non-cream, non-blue, "white concrete wall" is a pretty lame/stupid excuse. I will be happy to have all remaining paint flakes and painted wood fragments collected and distributed through your office letter box so you can verify them as belonging to the work performed 😆. This review is 100% factual and will now stand as a lesson on how to treat the neighbours of your customers with more respect. Please note my reply emails to you have all bounced, so you may want to sort that out too.

Quick update to new feedback: Yes, I only post reviews when I am really, really, annoyed by company lies and/or ignorance/stupidity. Based on their continued unprofessional practice of deflection, misdirection and arguing in a public forum, I suggest everyone simply read the rest of their reviews. Only 10% 1-star ratings says it all. Professionals would have simply apologised for their mistakes and moved on, not blame the victim for their literal mess.

We attended your property to clear up out of courtesy, however from the pictures you provided and the videos from our installers, the tiny fragments of paint look to have come from your front wall that have been blown by the recent high winds. We still swept up what we could see.

Looking at your previous 1* reviews, you seem to have a habit of trying to unfairly defacing local businesses. We understand some people find satisfaction in criticism. Thankfully, our satisfied clients far outnumber the few who choose negativity as a hobby. It is extremely damaging to receive such a review, especially when you are not a customer of Shaws and your review is not to do with our products or service.

Awful ‘service’

Awful ‘service’, installation and quality.

Where do I start…

- Shaws recommended not to have trickle vents for insulation reason, despite these being a regulatory requirement. We agreed no trickle vents, but Shaws fitted them anyway

- Installation was planned around pets but then the plan failed as Shaws arrived on the first day without the required windows and equipment

- On fitting, the gaskets were faulty. It took multiple visits and months for Shaws to resolve the issue

- Beading that was damaged during the multiple visits has not been replaced

- Since installation the handles and hinges have required adjustments and now a hinge needs replacing

- Vouchers promised as an apology for the issue with the trickle vents have never been sent

- The big issue. An exact replacement was requested but Shaws have fitted a patio door with a very deep window sill that was not there before and which makes getting in and out of the door difficult. It looks awful as it sits on top of a stone ledge and it possibly doesn’t meet the uniformity rules of the property lease. Shaws have been unable to explain why it is there and are refusing to fix the issue, other than cutting it off which would invalidate the warranty

I have refused to pay the last payment until they resolve the issues. However, Shaws are now adding interest and threatening legal action.

Avoid like the plague. There needs to be a zero star option.

We are terribly frustrated with Shaw's…

We are terribly frustrated with Shaw's as they charged very heavily for conservatory and we getting leakage again and again. They give very poor service not able to find the faults and not able to fix the faults in consarvatory

Avoid this company!

The windows appear to be well made, but too new to pass judgement! They FAIL to answer emails, their surveyor went to the wrong address, and their administration - except when asking for money! - is CHAOTIC, UNPROFESSIONAL and non existent!

I would NOT use again!

New kitchen window installed

From 1st visit by Joe, all went smoothly. Fitters (Mat & Nathan) done a great job - you wouldn't know they had been there! No mess left, all clean and tidy. Really nice fitters, friendly yet professional. Had to ask them to come back the next day as elderly Mum found the new handle a little difficult to open. They arrived the next day as promised on the dot and rectified for her. No hesitation in recommending - thank you!

Avoid for the sake of your sanity

Pleased with the overall finish of the product but in the interests of your sanity, do not deal with this company. Weeks of delays, unanswered calls/email, passed from pillar to post in terms of the people in the office (none of whom seem to have the foggiest of what is going on with individual orders), the whole experience was exasperating. On a final delay, caused by different teams of fitters visiting the site FOUR TIMES, we then needed to erect further scaffolding on top of the scaffold we were already overpaying for due to Shaws' delays. The company director said on the phone he would pay for this - £250 - and then reneged on his promise, offering £100 "as a gesture of goodwill".
The level of customer service at every level is utterly appalling and quite surprising for a small local business, who we were keen to support. On the plus side, the fitters were great guys, who were a pleasure to deal with.
Such a shame overall.
