This was quite a major job and I was worried that I'd be without the car for months. However, the car was collected promptly, James kept me informed of the process on a regular basis and much sooner than I could have hope, it was fixed and returned. A brilliant service!
It's driving perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

Julian and his team at service 4 service helped me so much when my cars gearbox and mechtronic unit decided to break and caused so much damage internally! Even though they had problem after problem they constantly worked on my car until it was diving like new again. Julian kept in constant contact with me and gave me a breakdown of costs before any work was carried out.

I own a volvo XC90 T8, great car but upkeep can be expensive. Something went wrong with it's ERAD (complex gearbox) unit. I got it to a Volvo main workshop where I was quoted well over £8000, possibility up to £10K as it would need the whole unit replacing. That prompted me to shop around and I ended up on the phone with James from Service4Service. Right from the beginning I was impressed by James, not only was he very knowledgeable about the problem but also very down to earth in explaining the situation and offering solutions along with a much more reasonable cost, the gearbox could be repaired! At a time when faced with a cold distant Volvo dealership, James was a breath of fresh air and gave me the feeling of confidence i was looking for. I now have my car back and running perfectly. My experience with Service4Service was just about perfect from start to finish, James remained my point of contact always making an effort to keep me informed of progress. Needless to say that trusting a repair shop isn't easy which is why I've always gone to the manufacturers main dealer but Service4Service has changed my mind and saved me a substantial cost. I don't usually bother with reviews, why praise someone for doing the job they are supposed to do! But when I've had a great customer experience and also been saved thousands of pounds i think it's deserved and others should benefit from the service they offer. I'll recommend them without hesitation.

I was faced with a major clutch problem on my Skoda and struggled to find a garage who could supply a fix, luckily I found Service4Service. From the outset they were an excellent company to deal with. Their professionalism was evident from the initial discussion on the first phone call, right through taking the car, keeping me informed throughout and delivery of a fixed car which has been rock solid since. I can't recall ever having a better car repair experience, and would not hesitate to use them again in future. Many thanks to Pete and all the team who worked on my car for a first class job.

Great stuff guys. Really pleased to have my car back on the road after they rebuilt my gearbox. Elliot was honest with me from the start about timeframes and they kept to it. I felt he was in control and knew what was going on whenever I wanted an update. Price was competitive, so much better than what Audi wanted to charge. Glad I found these guys.

What an amazing experience, from originally advising me that another garage may be cheaper. Being let down by that garage and then Pete from Service 4 Servive swept in amd saved the day. Amazing communication from day one to the final transaction and checking after I received the vehicle back to ensure I was happy with the work completed and no other issues appeared.

We were advised to go ahead with a very expensive repair—almost the value of the car. Although we considered writing it off, they convinced us the car would be “like new” after the work.

They kept our car for over a year, always with excuses—waiting for parts, staff on holiday, even blaming a supplier merger (which wasn’t true). When we finally got the car back, it couldn’t even pass its MOT.

The MOT revealed brake fluid contamination, a broken coil spring, and severe corrosion—issues that clearly got worse during the year they had it. They had seen the corrosion during the repair but never advised us to stop or rethink it.

We then tried to fix the corrosion elsewhere, but another mechanic damaged something. The sad part is, we would’ve never taken the car to someone else if the original garage had properly judged its condition and advised us to write it off.

After all that time and money, we still had to scrap the car. Feels like it was used more as a training project than genuinely repaired.

Extremely disappointed.

I live in the heart of Yorkshire and they said to me that their available garages is in Liverpool, so why in their website they advertise for Yorkshire Fords, i don't get it maybe they need to renew their website cause they are confusing potential costumers, 2 stars instead of 1 is cause their website looks nice even if its misleading.

James was my ‘go to’ person when my VW Golf’s gearbox and flywheel decided to call it a day after 97,000 miles. James kept me updated throughout the process via phone/email, and was always understanding and supportive when I had any concerns. My car was picked up and dropped off without any issues. Contacted Service4Service as my Outlander developed a serious transmission issue and couldn’t be driven. Spoke to Pete (Rozario) who handled everything with a high degree of professionalism and arranged for my car to be collected within a couple of days.
Throughout the repair Pete kept me in the loop via tele/email - sometimes on a daily basis so I knew exactly what was happening and when. Pete was the conduit throughout for everything which gave me complete reassurance. The repair was completed and even when the car transporter broke down!!! Pete arranged for a private company to return my car.
I am delighted with the service I received throughout and great credit goes to Pete and his team - thank you.

Great service from start to finish. My Tiguan gearbox decided to develop a fault that meant it would not select reverse or anything above 3rd gear. After speaking to James collection was agreed and a price of between £3500 and £5500 + VAT was the expected range to be confirmed once the vehicle had been inspected, they collected the same day and was told after inspection it could take 2 weeks depending on parts availability. I went on holiday and once I returned the car was delivered back that day and the price was £5230 including vat. Great service fully explained throughout.

I Spoke to lots of people who gave me horror stories about what it might cost to fix my car. Service 4 service said they felt that it was unlikely to need that much work and they were right! Not only did I save a load of money but it was in and out in quick time as well. I would say listen to them before you make any decisions. Thanks again all.

What a refreshing company to deal with. My advisor James was so helpful, thoughtful and professional throughout the whole process. He helped me manage a very stressful situation by taking control of what needed to be done, arranging collection and delivery of the vehicle, which is an amazing service. I don't normally do reviews from the moment I rung for help Service4Service have been nothing short of amazing. They were transparent, helpful and got my vehicle back on the road and performing better than it ever has. I had several so called gearbox specialists claim they could fix the car, all of which couldn't. Promising cheap prices when all they wanted to do is fit secondhand parts. Service4Service took the repair on and resolved it with ease, taking the time to assess and diagnose the issues properly and carry out the repairs using new genuine parts meaning my car is back better than ever. DO NOT USE - Quoting me for £1573+ vat for a part that costs £366 INCLUDING VAT and £413+VAT for selectors which cost £76.80 INCLUDING VAT, was quoted £7k for work needed it be done - ended up getting it for 2.4k at another garage with the SAME warantee, same parts, etc.
