I have just completed a 14 week jazz history course with Monik Nordine. It was not only a very interesting way to spend 2 hours of listening and discussion of the periods of jazz since its inception, it was fun and insightful to say the least. Monik is very knowledgeable about jazz history and all of the ‘greats’…she receives questions readily and immediately puts them into context for you and refers you back to the comprehensive notes she has prepared and sent out and to videos that were also part of the pre class preparation and readings. It was value packed, as the old saying goes!!!
I was ‘blown away’ with Monik's knowledge and very appreciative of her teaching manner and methodology.

Having just completed a course on the History of Jazz
by Monik Nordine, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I have appreciated listening to jazz since the 30's and 40's and have been involved in playing woodwinds and singing at an amateur level.

Monik has long been a highly accomplished professional, who has a very extensive knowledge of history, including jazz history. She has put together
very organically and masterfully a course that weaves it all together as jazz music evolved from period to period up to the present jazz scene.
