Dubarry no stock and still waiting for refund
Ordered Dubarry boots on the 8th December.
No contact after a couple of days so emailed. Was told they did not have them in stock but would be in stock in 2 weeks.
2 weeks later nothing happened. Emailed and was told it could be another month.
Asked for a refund....The next day I got another reply saying if I waited I would get a discount. I had to ask Again for the refund.
Finally issued a refund on the 21st December via an echeque on PayPal.
This has still not cleared yet 10 days later on the 31st December....
I emailed again... Waiting still.........

just read the other comments on this page and this company seem to make a habit out of taking orders they cannot fulfil
I also ordered Dubarry boots from the website which were in stock. Next day I received an email saying they weren't actually in stock would i like a different pair? Eh no! if I had wanted a different pair I would have ordered them in the first place!
I asked for a refund and said i was disappointed that they took my order knowing they could not fulfil it.
The refund took a week but in that time I was in contact with helpful staff who apologised for the inconvenience.
They even sent me a nice gift to compensate for the hassle!
Next time I would contact first to check they actually have the product before I place my order
Redeemed - Poor attitude and customer service
I placed an order online for Dubarry boots for my wife's birthday, 3 days later I was informed they were not in stock and wouldn't be for another 2 weeks, even though the website stated they were in stock and was able to place order. I decided to go elsewhere and asked for refund and confirmation of this. I checked with my Credit Card Company, no advance refund showing after 6 days later. I phoned to ask if this had been done, was advised to email again to the sales advisor, still no response. I finally emailed to say that I would raise a dispute. Finally got a reply confirming refund, but quite rude and abrupt. Poor customer service and consequently attitude when asked simply for a response and confirmation of refund.
*Further to this post I received a call from the Sales Manager, who apologised for the 'miss communication' and I have now received my refund. Whilst my review stated the circumstances their apology has altered my view of their service. Therefore in the interests of fairness I have altered my rating. Clearly I cannot comment on such as delivery and items, so my rating has improved on the service only.*
great service
Needed a 60th birthday present for my dad during covid19. I wasn’t sure if they’d be trading so I emailed to enquire. I got a quick and friendly reply and after several emails back and forth I managed to get the shoes I was looking for in his size. They came ahead of schedule and dad loves his new shoes. Can recommend Robinson’s 100% and will be using them again in the future
Excellent product selection & fantastic customer service
Excellent selection of products both online and in-store. Customer service is second to none - I had a full fitting experience, which was completely free of charge and there was no obligation to buy. Following this, I couldn't resist a pair of Barker boots. They fit really well and the quality is fantastic. I would definitely recommend and will be shopping here again!

Excellent mail order experience, quality shoes, good price
My experience was excellent. Having read some negative reviews, I emailed one evening before ordering to check the shoes were in stock. They replied the next morning to confirm. The delivery service was tracked and only took a couple days. I am very happy with my Cheaney Arthur brogues and I was lucky to get them at a good discount. I have 3 pairs of Cheaneys in the 125 last, which fits me well. I also got some free wooden shoe trees, although they're not finished as well as Songmics or Cathcart Elliot trees. I can't complain if it's free though and they're keeping my quality shoes in good condition. I'd order from Robinsons shoes again. I wonder if they update me if the 125 last goes on sale again?
Stock Issues
Had issues with my order and once esculated to manager was able to work it out. Was even given a discount.
nice shoes, unacceptable service
It took them a week to let me know that the shoes that I ordered are out of stock, so I asked them to cancel my order & refund. To get my money back it took two more emails & one phone call over three weeks. Unacceptable.
Loving Robinson's shoes
Just got a fantastic looking pair of Barker brogues from Robinson's today. They are so comfortable and look so great that I couldn't bring myself to take them off. Still wearing them. Great friendly customer service and price. They are my second pair from Robinson's (other pair are Barker Derbys) and I will definitely be back for more.

I made an order in robinsonsshoes, after which I changed my plans and I canceled my order.
The store does not respond to e-mail messages and refuses to make refunds.
I do not recommend working with this store!
Great service, price and quality
Great service, price and quality! Incredible it only took 3.5 days to deliver all the way to New Zealand. I’m greatly impressed! I will surely consider buying from Robinson’s again. The free cedar wood shoetrees were a lovely touch.

One of them is used and wrong size.
Send the shoes back for refund.
11 days after they received my return, I got my refund.
Glad I took the risk
I was apprehensive ordering shoes online and from another jurisdiction (to North America from UK). The communication was not spectacular, however I decided to order anyway. Order was shipped 8 calendar days after the order, and I received the order 9 calendar days later (free shipping via post office). I'm very happy with the end result, but wish there was better communication to alleviate my initial apprehension.
If an issue arises, they will go above and beyond to fix!

Just received my pair of Loake Aldwych in perfect condition. The communication with the staff is overall great and it is a pleasure to deal with them.
Most importantly, the shipping was really fast considering that I live in the other end of the world !
As a matter of fact, I just placed another order with them ! Can't wait to kick start the new year with my new shoes :)
Slow and misleading
Called on Monday to find out if the shoes are in stock and could be delivered before Thursday as away for holiday. Had a positive reply from a lady at customer service.
On their website stated delivery time is within 2-3 working days. On Thursday had no delivery. Emailed their customer services and had a reply from James that shoes were shipped and should be with me on Friday or on Monday, which is no good anyway. Today while on holiday had a message that shoes will be delivered on Tuesday. It means they weren't shipped on Thursday even. Instead of 2-3 working days takes 6 working days. Wouldn't even be bothered to write a review if had a honest reply.

From start to finish it was a pleasure to deal with this company. Their customer service is second to none, right from my first enquiry to taking delivery. I'm so impressed by the range of products they have available as well as the quality. Couldn't recommend enough! Thanks again.
