I’m still waiting for my order which I placed on the 4 th March, she is not answering my emails and am unable to contact her by phone. If I EVER get my order I shall not be using them again and will definitely not be recommending them. Poor and inadequate service.

Having dealt with this company before, I cannot understand some of these reviews, I ordered patterns and wool on Sunday evening, got confirmation of order, received dispatch notice this morning and goods delivered at 10.30 on Wednesday you could not ask for better service, I would really recommend this ladies business and will definitely use her again.

I placed my order a month ago. Other than the purchase confirmation email, I’ve heard nothing from Purplelinda. I’ve had no delivery, and no answers to the 3 messages I’ve sent. I’ve now had to ask Visa to get involved. There is no excuse for the lack of common courtesy in not responding to messages. My advice is to steer clear of this company. It’s just too stressful!

Further to previous message, I am still awaiting my goods. I have just contacted Trading Standards, Scotland, but I cannot make a complaint as I am in England and Purplelinda is in Scotland!

I ordered 3 balls of yarn and only received 2. I have emailed and even written to Purple Linda but received nothing - not even an acknowledgment. I ordered 3 together so they would be the same dye lot and I could make 2 baby cardigans. I've read that other people have contacted Trading Standards and I will be doing so too. If I'd read the reviews first I never would have ordered from this website.

I placed an order with purplelindacrafts, that same day and the following day, I sent an email asking could I add to the order. I didn't hear back so looked up reviews and after seeing so many negative comments, I thought things didn't bode well. Anyhow the original order was marked as dispatched a couple of days later and the goods landed 3 days after that. So I'm really pleased. Reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they didn't reply to my message about adding on. Have now placed another, but larger order today.

I received my order, complete, in perfect condition, well packaged, half of it from the sale section, thrilled with it and the price I paid - it arrived way after it was expected, but it wasn’t a life or death yarn situation!!
I nearly contacted my bank to cancel after reading reviews on here but am glad I didn’t. I just think;
- We’re experiencing a pandemic.
- Its clearly a small business and we have no idea what’s going on that might be causing delays.
- It’s yarn, let’s have a little perspective!!!
Plenty of other places to shop if you want speed and customer service chit chat, otherwise, happy to recommend.

I wish I'd seen these reviews before I ordered from this appalling company. I ordered from them because the usual company I order yarn from were out of stock. I found this company and as I usually try and support British businesses wherever I can, I decided to place an order.
A month later I have not received my order, and I have had no response to several emails enquiring re: progress and no response nor refund even after requesting cancellation of the order. I have now obtained the goods elsewhere (plus more)!
As there doesn't seem to be any other way of contacting her (telephone number not recognised, no tracking method, no contact via website, not answering emails), I have now written to her to inform her that I will be taking this further via trading standards. I'm not holding my breath that I'll have any success unfortunately.
I would have been happy if I'd just received some response to my queries, even if it was just saying the order was delayed for some reason. No contact at all is not acceptable.
I would not recommend this company at all.

I've received my order on time. I find this business just fantastic. Items are at very good value for money and on top, you support a small business. I have read quite a few complaints about them but my experience has been very positive. I will continue to order from them.

Awful, will never purchase from this site again.
After 12 days of no product and no communication. I sent a polite email just asking if they had the product in stock or not. I didn't mind waiting but just wanted to know if it was available.
No reply, sent another email 5 days later requesting to cancel the order as I was going to have to purchase it from another source.
Still no response,
Was just about to report to bank fraud dept when dispatch email and then product arrived.
Which I had since received from other company.
Absolutely disgraceful way to run a business.
Even an automated email saying orders are running late would have sufficed.
Left me feeling like I had been robbed and clearly most other customers are experiencing the same.

Have bought wool for my wife before. Never had a problem. Nice wool too. Latest order arrived a bit late. Assume this due to illness, backlog, Covid but well pleased anyway. Advised of dispatch last night arrived today (9th). Well packaged too.

Having read previous reviews I am wishing I had never ordered from Linda who obviously has no morals or intentions to supply the ordered goods .I ordered Snuggly Crofter wool on 27/1/21 and despite my emails following this , have not had any response at all. I would have been happy with a substitute colour if the one ordered is not in stock. . Do not use this website - chances are you will never receive your goods. I have no choice but to follow this up with the help of my bank and the Trading Standards as no one should be running a scam like this with absolutely no respect for their customers.

Avoid buying from Purple LINDA. Horrible service and she steals your money. I ordered in Feb, never got the products, kept emailing to cancel the order. Nothing happened and my money was taken and this company/ person is a fraud. I have had to contact my bank because this company has stolen my money despite me cancelling.

Never again I would use this site. Absolutely awful. I placed the order and was waiting over 10 days which I knew it might take so long but nothing actually arrived. after 15 days I send emails regarding delivery even tried to dispute with my bank but nothing happened. Week later my order arrived which was completly different to what I actually ordered. I tried to contact site but no reply at all. Completly ignorance.
Poor service.
Still done have any answer or money back. Never ever use them!!! Waste of money and time. This site should be closed as you only gona loose money that's all.

To be fair to Purple Linda Crafts I posted a scathing review earlier last month and felt I should update. Having not received my goods or responses to my emails, in despair I contacted my banks’ fraud department. The bank temporarily refunded my money and I have now received a full refund from Purple Linda.
Whatever the reasons for the company not being able to supply customers, I am convinced that myself and many customers would be prepared to wait longer if they replied to emails explaining any difficulties.
However, I am grateful to receive my refund and thought it might give other customers hope.

AWFUL!!!! Do not use this site!!! I only wish I read the reviews first. No help if there is a query or a dispute! No communication, total radio silence from the Linda! I found the same wool I ordered from her on Amazon with only pennies difference and next day delivery. The only reason I'm not complaining to the Trading standards because I want to forget the whole experience with Purplelinda. There is still an outstanding item from my order placed at the beginning of February which I requested to be exchanged for an available item, but I don't care anymore. Purplelinda offers the worst customer care I've ever experienced. By the look of it is a long-term issue and nothing to do with COVID-19.

So I wanted to write an update to my previous review. Happy to report that I have now received my goods well packaged and all in order. I am not sure why there was such a delay Brexit? Covid? It would have been reassuring to have received an email re any delay but really pleased with my lovely crochet thread!

I too, unfortunately, never read reviews for Purple Linda before ordering.
I paid for £31.80 worth of items on 29th Jan 2021 and received an email advising that goods would be dispatched to me within 3-10 days. Obviously never received and sent several emails enquiring where my goods were. Never got a reply and uncontactable by telephone. At this point I was very concerned that I'd lost my money, especially after checking reviews.
I rang my local consumer advice who advised me to write a letter to Linda Smith, t/a Purple Linda giving her 14 days to honour the contract made with me on 29th Jan, otherwise I would have no option to cancel contract and request a full refund. I sent this letter on 19th Feb (copied also to my local Trading Standards as well as The Highland Council Trading Standards) by post, which required a signature on delivery. Linda Smith signed for this letter on 20th Feb. Never heard a thing until two days ago when I received an email stating that my goods had been dispatched. Today, 5th March I received my goods, all packaged up beautifully.
Not sure what's going on at Purple Linda but maybe sending this letter and the fact it was copied also to Trading Standards helped. Best wishes everybody and hope you all receive your goods successfully (albeit late).

Sorry I have even given 1 star, avoid this company like the plague! I stupidly never read reviews first before I sent an order on the 13/02/2021 after numerous emails on progress of order have still not heard anything!
How anyone can run a business like that is disgusting and should not be trading.

Placed an order on 31/1/21. Received confirmation email straight away. Money taken from my account on 1/2/21. Then absolutely nothing. I have emailed twice with no response. Also tried ringing, but number is unobtainable. I see others have unfortunately had the same experience.
