Attend the Linlithgow gym. Could do with a water fountain downstairs as well as upstairs. And I'd prefer if they provided spray and paper towels so people can clean down machines etc. Otherwise can't... Mehr ansehen

Finally got the gym bug after years!
I am an older person who hasn’t exercised properly since my 30’s.
I joined after a health scare.
I found the gym welcoming, clean and not too busy when I attend during the day.
I find the price of the gym very reasonable, and the app lets me log in and out, it suggests workouts for me and you can do everything yourself very easily.
I decided to try a personal trainer for the first time ever, and Martyna has been inspirational keeping me motivated. She also advises me on what to eat as she is a nutritionist and that has been very useful.
I would recommend Pure Gym to anyone.

Enjoying the gym
Good range of machines, easy access and 24hr availability. Parking right outside. Competitively prices with access to classes and PTs.

The facilities and staff were amazing
The facilities and staff were amazing. However due to personal reasons I wasn't very comfortable attending.

Not my usual Pure Gym but thought I…
Not my usual Pure Gym but thought I would visit Linlithgow. Unmanned on a Saturday afternoon?
Small, dark and limited equipment. Changing pods rather than rooms. Only water fountain was on the upper floor. No lockers on the ground floor. No sports water. Limited machines and equipment but larger free weights area.
Not my favourite pure gym.

Stay away only want your money.
Could not book an induction to speak with someone as I had surgery. Wanted to discuss a gym plan. visited the gym when got there no gym representative was there. It was like school social club not very welcoming. So decided to cancel my membership.

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the layout of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table.
You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym.

Gym I s clean and well maintained
Gym I s clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Gym is small but has absolutely everything to suit everyone no matter if you are a beginner or if you are advanced this gym has it all. It’s the only gym I have ever been able to go alone and not feel self confident.

Not good.
Not good.
Having tried for two days on the website to sign up again (as I was a member years ago), I kept getting an error message saying I’d need to contact ‘member services’ yet no email or number was supplied. I checked the website and there’s neither listed on there.
I contacted the gym via email and two people came back to me telling me it must be an issue with my browser, and one of them gave me an email address for member services. I emailed member services twice, received no response. I then downloaded the app to see if I could reactivate my old membership which eventually worked. If someone had told me this from the get go, I would have gotten there much quicker. If you have no number listed on your website that allows you to speak to a person, at least be quicker to respond via the other communication channels. Were it not for your competitive pricing and the fact that I wanted to join the gym quickly, I would have gone elsewhere.

If previously has a PureGym account you can re-join with your last email address, and PureGym pin. Any issues you can reach Member Services on email or through one of our social platforms.

Deals not dealing
Struggled with many issues regarding offers, specifically the Student deals.
The join cost was high, especially for a first month with no real way to test anything. I had to phone 2 friends who had been in pure gym before for honest reviews. It was unclear how to sign up for classes as i couldn't check before purchase and didn't know if Linlithgow actually had any options for them.
After reviewing some of the features of the app after signing up i raised it to a 2 star as it seams very well made. But i am disappointed by the number of hoops i needed to jump through to understand what was included.

Joining fees are applied to cover the initial administration costs associated with setting up a new membership and direct debit agreement.
This will only be included within your initial payment on sign up.
Via the homepage of your chosen club you can view a live class timetable which will show upcoming sessions for the next 2 weeks to get a feel of the classes on offer ahead of joining.

The online joining process was OK but… my first class had a trainer no-show
The online joining process was OK but on the day I joined, I booked a "GET STARTED" class. I turned up, as did a young lady, an we stood and waited, and waited, but no trainer to be seen. Eventually a fellow gym-goer told us that the trainer had not turned up for earlier classes too. So we hang around for about 1 hr and still no class, and no email to explain why, so I'm quite upset at the way this was handled. The gym was un-manned, so without an induction, I had no idea who to contact. I fully understand people have reasons for not attending work but I thought I'd at least get an email to say it's off
