Trash company, so it's no surprise my trash company decided to move our 401k's to them! I'm so pissed off right now!

Initially signed up through Doctor Disability Ins. company. CI proceeded to cancel my policy almost a month ago after reading reviews of denial of many claims and never received my money they took out of my account after account was canceled. I also received a backdraft fee they would not refund me, after being told they would. A garbage company that just takes money in my opinion, beware! I will continue to leave my experience online.

There have been several reports from people who tried to transfer their balance into a 401K, only to find the process blocked without a clear reason. Customer service was slow and unhelpful, often repeating the same lines without offering real solutions.

I decided in April to sign up for there short-term disability with my company. A couple months prior to that I had a mammogram that ended up being cancer. They denied me of 4 days of pay saying that it was a preexisting condition. They said that I could appeal it. I went through a lot of work getting information from my doctors etc... They asked me for my radiologist name and wrote him letter asking him if my mammogram was related to my cancer to which he wrote back, yes, indirectly. That was their loophole not to pay for just four days of pay. This is a very greedy evil company that just wants your money.

Terrible website. Glitch-filled and clunky. Wow. And it has been this way for years. I am finally going to move my IRA elsewhere. I have had it.

They are absolutely junk. If you are not good with, or don't like computers, then you might as well burn your money. They can improve by having a non computer way of doing things.

401 K SCAMMERS,
This is the poorest ran financial company that I’ve dealt with. They try everything to keep your money invested with them. I will not contribute in the future. Poor excuse for customer service. Worthless company!!!! Go with fidelity.

I now can't access my money because their 2-step verification doesn't work on their end. So, because their tech is heinously flawed, I now have to fill out a form, have it notarized and mail it in with a copy of my ID. It's funny, I bet if I wanted to ADD money to my account there would be no issue with me accessing everything. But because I want to transfer to money to my current 401K with Empower, suddenly they "can't" help me. Avoid them like the plague. If your employer uses them for your 401K get another job. DONT deal with these charlatans unless you absolutely cannot avoid it.

Excellent company for being corporate and great insurance coverage

Don't do it! Poor customer service. Excessive fees. Takes a VERY long time to complete a transaction. Invest elsewhere (in my opinion)

Do NOT put money in their US Property Separate Account!!! There is a disclaimer stating that because it is property & not stocks, withdrawals could be delayed. I attempted to transfer to another investment 8 months ago. 6 months later I got about 15% of my money out. They are saying it could be years before they can pay me…if ever. Funny how US Property costs are at an all time high yet my investment is losing money every month & I can’t do anything to stop it. Why would they even have something like that in a retirement portfolio. Seems like bad business

I'm almost over it with Foreign Agents who keep asking the same question 🙋 or some moron who cannot determine if they had a cup of coffee or need to put the clothes in the dryer finally. I felt as though some of the workers are still under probation an anyday they will be a permanent employee some of them. I'm going into 2 months of working on a disability claim to get completed. I feel as though I've been robbed. ROBBED OF TIME AND STILL ILL WHILE trying to frequently inquire about my claim. I worked hard and been seriously ill beyond my control

i have been in contact with them for more then 2 months trying to get my late step-fathers 401k.
it is staggering the way they handle customers.
i have never felt so cheated in by a customer care hotline as i felt here.

Stay as far away as possible. This place is a joke that wants to make it as hard as possible to get your money out so they can keep charging you fees. They charge the same in fees as the interest I've made on my account each year. I gave them all my info (social, address, etc) and they sent me to an identity verification screen where I know, for a fact, I answered all questions correctly. However, it still forced me to a screen where I must print a form, complete it in front of a notary, and send it back in. The only reason to do this is fraud. Run, don't walk away from here.

this is the only company that i ever invested in (had no choice because it was the only option with the company i worked for). i had no access to MY money. i had to quit and still wait 6 weeks to get it back. I also told them I moved from the state I lived in when I signed up and they still took taxes out for that state because I never updated my address with them. other companies i had in the past would let me take money out when i needed to for personal emergencies. this place flat out said NO...again, to MY money. do NOT consider them EVER!!!

They nickel and dime you with ridiculous fees that no other institution charges for similar transactions.
Terrible website freezes when you do verification, crashes randomly. Doesn't matter which browser. Then they make it difficult to transfer your account out of their institution. They ought to be investigated. Move your money elsewhere to avoid being ripped off.

This is one of worst financial company to invest your money. I spoke to six(6) different agents all of them said something different. Totally a mess I don't know why an employer uses this company as financial company to have their employees invest in. I learned my lessons. They will make you go through hell for your hardworking money they do not care at all. Please stay away from them. If your job offers them to you decline the offer ASAP.

#2 This website is about 20s years old in tec compared to my Principal 401K account. (Feeling like the ugly stepchild)

#3 The minimum deposit is $100! What the heck! I will be leaving this Principal Funds as soon as the 18 month minimum waiting time is over or until I can stomach paying the fee to leave this antiquated company.

#4 Their S&P 500 Index’s service fee was over quadruple the cost compared to the S&P 500 Index with my 401K!

I am terribly disappointed in Principal Funds and I do feel tricked into moving over to their IRA account trusting that they would be equal in quality to the Principal 401K. The only positive side is that the lady in customer service was very polite, though unable to really help since it the companies polices and website that are at fault.

They held my 401k funds from an employer, when we tried to with drawl ours funds got the run-a-round how everything is done online. Typical wall street scum bags trying to hold working folks money. Had to create an account from an account..theses people a total A- holes
