I did an interview in November 2025 and it’s now May 2026 and I still haven’t gotten paid. Reading the reviews, sounds like I’m not the only one with this issue. Terrible company, would not recommend.
Consulting Payment Very Overdue
I did a consulation in November 2025 for a client of Primary Insight. It is now May 2026 and I still have not received payment. This borders on fraudulent business practices. Repeated emails to their AP have had no reply. I would not consult for them in the future.
UPDATE 5/22/26: Unfortunately it took me writing this review for someone at Primary Insight to finally contact me and resolve the payment issue. I finally received payment and increased my rating from 1 star to 2 stars reflecting it took 6 months to resolve an issue that should have taken 6 weeks or less.

I was contacted by the Primary Insight research team to help with an executive search request for an open advisory role with their PE client. All went very well with the interview process and look forward to hearing back from them.
Efficient streamlined process
Efficient streamlined process, and having one point of contact from start to finish was very helpful. Hope to be matched for more consultations in the future.
Slow payment for expert consult and lack of communication
Payment not made in timely way and had difficulties reaching anyone as emails and calls went unanswered despite multiple attempts. Company states that “all Payments will take between 60-90 days to process “ but my payment took 146 days. That length of time is highly unusual based on my extensive experience with similar companies.

Longer payment terms than most
I worked with the company as an external consultant. The payment terms are longer than most competitors in the industry. Be aware of it. The team is responsive to questions.

SCAM
I completed an interview on 3/4 and still have not received the payment. As you can see from prior reviews, the company is completely unprofessional and will not pay the consultants. DO NOT TAKE THEIR CALL.
Primary Insights doesn't pay consultants
I completed a consultation in October 2024 and 6 months later I still haven't been paid after completing their invoicing process and sending multiple emails. Based on the negative reviews on this site and others, Primary Insights is clearly a shady company.

Professional, courteous, responsive, and good experience overall.
Not been paid
Not been paid 3 months later, despite them 'confirming' payment would be made over a month ago after I chased multiple times.
If you are considering an engagement with them don't do it as it's not worth all of the effort. In my experience their competitors pay promptly.

Operates at the Highest Compliance Standards
I have been consulting for Primary Insight for the past 15 years, starting with my first interaction during their time inside JPMorgan. The team and firm operates at the highest compliance standards and I have gained a wealth of knowledge inside my own industry from interactions with their clients.
I consulted for them in August and…
I consulted for them in August and agreed to a payment schedule. I have yet to be paid and have left numerous emails and calls. I have yet to hear from anyone and have recieved ZERO responses to my emails. This seems to be a SCAM.

Thank you to the Primary Insight account management team for thoughtfully matching my industry expertise to the appropriate clients over the last four years. The engagements are always high level discussions and payment processing is always efficient.
Update after receiving payment
I offered my consulting services to this company and they took over 3 months to complete payment. These types of consulting calls are normally paid within 5 working days!!!

Provided advisor services, no pay!
Provided advisor services, didn’t get paid. I hunted them on and off for 3 years and they either ghosted me, send “I’m holding the check in my hand, it’s being mailed today”, or other such misrepresentations. I spent a dozen hours trying to collect a debt for 4 consulting engagements. As of July 11, 2023 they are looking into the matter again. (3 years to get paid evidently isn’t enough?)
No payment received - avoid
Very responsive and call went well. When it came to payment I suddenly heard nothing back at all despite emailing my contact, messaging him on LinkedIn and emailing the accounts team. DO NOT work for this company. You will not receive payment for your services.
UPDATE: Contact finally replied and payment finally received after this review was posted.

Payment never received for expert call and am being ghosted ever since
I did a call for primary insight Jan 2022. Intial contact with them an scheduling of the call went well but I never received any payment and have been ghosted ever since the call. Even when repeatedly calling them and writing them to inform about the payment. Their competitors are much more trustworthy and correct in dealing with experts throughout the whole process and correctly paying them. I will never work for Primary again and discourage any respected expert to do so. I also encourage companies that seek knowledge to work with the right expert networks that treat the experts correctly. Which is certainly not my experience.
