A business that deserves to fail
I bought a small plant pot with a one click Apple pay transaction. It was 25% more expensive than my normal supplier who was out of stock. A further £50 was deducted for delivery that I was not informed of prior to one click purchase. The pot arrived on a pallet. I am disabled with primary progressive MS so cannot walk/stand easily but I could lift the pot with one hand that was delivered in a huge lorry and delivered to the door with a loader. I pleaded with the driver to take the pallet away but they refused. The pallet weighs at least 100 times more than the pot and is too heavy for one person to lift. I live in an apartment so now I have a huge problem to get rid of the pallet. I can only say that this business deserves to fail.

Taken for a ride by plant drop
I have had the most frustrating time with this company. I wanted to redo my balcony and booked their "home consultation" which was described as n up to 1 hour session discussing whay i wanted, taking measurements, pictures, and coming up with a plan for the space. In reality it was barely 20 minutes and no photographs or measurements were taken. In the end, I was provided with a list of plants and pots to buy and I put in the large order following this recommendation of over £1500. However, when the order arrived, there were several mix ups. One pot on the order was far too large for the plant so the nursery didn't pot it up, and another pot was smaller than the one I had paid for, and ultimately together they were all too much for the small space I had. I asked to return the large pot and plant that hadn't been planted, and also be refunded the different for the other mix ups, a total which amlunted to around £850, and I suggested that the price of the consultation should also be refunded given a consultation is designed to prevent mixups like this from happening. I was told to wait until the plant was collected which was fair enough. Nearly a week later, the plant was collected. A few days later I asked where the refund was and was told it had been sent on the day of collection, and to keep an eye on my account. I said it had not been received and could this be investigated. No response. A few days later, I chased again, and got a response saying the name hadn't matched the details so it hadn't been sent. I told them the details were correct, and was assured it would get sent immediately. Which it hadn't. It is now nearly 2 weeks since the plant was collected and I have not received a refund of this substantial amount of money. I have chased twice since I confirmed the details were correct and have not received the refund nor a reply. I cannot help but feel taken for a ride by this company. At no point has their customer service apologised for the mix ups or the delayed refund either, so I'm feeling quite put out and frustrated and researching other options to get my money back. I would suggest avoiding this company if you are looking for plants.

We are really sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. This is a new service and we have taken on board all the points that you have raised -thank you. With regard to the refund, this was delayed because as a bank transfer, it had to be processed by our accounts team which can take a little longer than card payments. They were unsure as to the details matching and were keen to make sure everything was thoroughly checked. Once new details were given and confirmed, we were able to process this for you. We have sent through a gift card as goodwill and to apologise for the issues you had. We do hope you enjoy your beautiful plants.
Disappointing
Took a good 10 days from order to delivery, with no communication in between. Bought a plant in height range 100-120cm, got one that was just about reaching 100cm. On the website it said that plant this size would fit in 28cm diameter pot, so I also bought a 28.5cm pot to go with it, and guess what, t it doesn't fit.
Plants were in good condition but disappointing experience overall.

We offer deliveries between 3 and 10 days (to allow for busy times and when new stock is being brought in) and I can see that yours was delivered on day 9.
I can understand this is a long time when you are waiting.
We are always happy for customers to contact us and check on their order's progress.
Confirmation and Delivery tracking emails are issued automatically from our system to the email address given, with updates on the day once the driver has set his route.
I'm very sorry if these didn't reach you.
The decorative pot you chose is listed as having a 28.5cm diameter and an opening of 22cm on the size chart, which is unfortunately why it didn't fit.
Our Customer Service team have replied to you on email explaining the confusion with the pot size and offering some suggestions as to ones that will fit. We look forward to helping sort this out for you and improving your experience with us.

Gorgeous large kentia palm
Plant arrived and was placed by very freindly ‘Plant drop’ employee Aly. He was helpful and informative and gave me helpful tips on the plant care.
I had asked for a tall ‘Slimmish’ kentia palm and they clearly listened. The pot is stunning. A considered purchase but so far I’m very happy. Will definitely order from this company again. Andrea X
