I bought a faulty gearbox from French Car Breakers via Partsgateway. The item is defective (pops out of gear), but the seller is refusing to pay return postage, which is a direct breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Despite sending multiple emails over the last 5 days, Partsgateway has completely ignored me. They claim to be a "trusted" intermediary but offer no help when a seller breaks the law. Extremely disappointed first-time customer. Order #3514650

Great experience with Prestige Parts Limited. I struggled to find a Mercedes wiper motor as it was out of stock with no delivery date, and used parts are hard to source. Prestige supplied a tested part with a 3-month warranty, which gave real peace of mind. Prices were very competitive and the service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Parts Gateway itself seems to be fine. However, some of the individual sellers using it are clearly not. I ordered a part, was told by the seller, Specialist Brokers, that it had been lost in transit by DPD, and then later was told by Specialist Brokers that in fact they had never had the part in stock. They did refund me, but no compensation or apology was offered for dishonesty, lost time and inconvenience. I had to instigate contact each time - they did not call back as promised.

Never will use them sold a noisey gearbox sitting out sit for a week was the sellers words be fine wae bit of oil. Basically told

Easy to identify the part, identify sellers and buy for a good price. Speedily delivered, what's not to like

I never received the part I paid for. The salvage company knew nothing about it although the receipt was from them. There is no contact number and emails are not answered directly. I assume this is a scam.

I was sceptical as the pricing was so good. But delivery was fast, well packaged and exactly as described. Defiantly recommend
