Products packed well and with packing that I can reuse elsewhere which is a good bonus for recycling. Products as described, I haven't used them yet but they look as expected. The prices are really good in my opinion. Slight issue with courier (FedEx) but the customer service was easily accessible and on point with sorting it out so really pleased with that. Would recommend.

I ordered 4 pots of Crafted by Crown paint for my daughters bedroom on a Wednesday night and they were delivered on Friday morning. It was outlined when I paid for next day delivery they would be delivered on Friday. The paint was much cheaper than anywhere else, by about £50 and it is absolutely perfect! Turns out I didn’t need 4 pots (2 pots of each colour) and only needed 1 pot of each colour but I will use the other pots in other areas of the house. I would absolutely recommend Paint Direct and when we have decided on colours for other rooms in the house, I will definitely order again!

I placed an order with this company paying extra for next day delivery. I was advised by Paint Direct to expect my delivery on Tuesday 23rd May. My order did not arrive.
I contacted Paint Direct by email and phone - Philippa handled my complaint. Philippa was very helpful and apologetic. She explained that they have difficulty with couriers (don’t we all) and they find it difficult getting a reliable courier to deliver paint. FedEx was at fault failing to deliver as per contract. My order was delivered the next day, a day late. Philippa offered me the option to return the good and receive a full refund and this was duly done. So despite the problem I would recommend Paint Direct - I cannot recommend FedEx.
I feel sorry for such companies who do their best but are let down by shoddy courier companies that couldn’t care less.

Was looking for crown crafted paint and paint direct were the cheapest by a long way.

Was also looking to have it delivered quickly and paint direct delivered on this too, delivered the next working day. The paint was very well packed and all my delivery was delivered without any problems.

They charged me £6.49 to deliver a single litre tin of woodstain - estimated delivery time 7 to 9 days!

Never using them again.

Failed to give refund for a tin of paint missing from original ‘next working day’ delivery, despite repeatedly telling them I would need it refunded and them stating they would refund it. The tins which did arrive had inadequate packaging imo, which is probably why one (out of three) didn’t survive delivery.

I was then given a new delivery date for the missing tin (it didn’t arrive then either). I was then told a few days later it had been delivered (it hadn’t been delivered, they had simply misread the FedEx tracking - FedEx had actually disposed of it).

They did eventually send a replacement tin (which I didn’t want as it was now too late to be any use to me), which I rejected delivery of and was returned to them by FedEx on Oct 20th (FedEx tracking confirms this). This item still hasn’t been refunded.

All in all, far more hassle than it’s worth.

I paid extra to get the next-day delivery (for a Friday) and chose this company over competitors because of this option. I waited the entire day for the delivery but it did not show up.

Delivery only arrived on the Monday. The company refunded only the difference between next-day (£7.99) and slow delivery (£6.49) - £1.50 in total. I've never seen such a partial refund before and would have expected a full refund out of courtesy.

If I could give it less than 1 Star, I would, will never order anything from them again, eventually obtained a refund for an unprocessed and unfulfilled order.

I have now placed three orders with paint direct. Each one has arrived in short time and has been sealed and perfectly packaged. The communication from both the supplier and courier has been clear and helped set expectations. Some of the colours have been mixed to order and match perfectly with existing decor. Very pleased with the service provided.

Effectively a cowboy company - delivery was OK but colour of paint supplied (two orders) bore no relation to the original Crown Paints hue.

This is a company to avoid at all costs .

I purchased Armstead paint online, I was pleased to find it as the colour was hard to come by and that it was Armstead rather than Dulux (as I knew that the same colour in Dulux is a different colour altogether).
When the paint arrived it WAS a different colour. I got in touch with paint direct and they told me to send them 2 samples of the paint painted onto cards.
1. Some of what I had left over previously (and thought I had ordered).
2. The paint I had just received.

After two weeks of waiting for a response I called them and they said that they had delivered the right paint and it could not be refunded and returned because it was mixed specially.

They then let it slip that it was actually Dulux paint not Arrmstead and was therefore Diamond Matt not Durable Matt and subsequently said it was my fault for ordering Dulux in the first place!

I said it was specifically Armstead Durable Matt that I ordered as I knew Dulux was the incorrect colour and sent them a copy of my order which supported what I said and photographs of my original tin and theirs .

What followed was an incredible email exchange with Paint Direct Customer service where they were

1. Prepared to fabricate a story to suit themselves
2. Were libellous
3. Rude and aggressive

I replied refuting everything they had said and that they were also in clear breach of the sale of goods act 2015. I told them that if they failed to comply with the Act then I would initiate a Paypal dispute and write to their Chief Exec (JH) to make him aware of their interpretation of 'customer service'.

They then backed down, and said that they would get the paint analysed by Dulux! I told them that my contract was with them not Dulux and I expected them to resolve the issue and not a third party. (I ordered Armstead anyway!)

I heard nothing more so I triggered a Paypal dispute. After several weeks they agreed to refund the paint if I returned it at my own expense!
I returned the paint to them and they failed to acknowledge receipt so I had to chase for a response through Paypal and after having to go to even greater lengths to prove that it was delivered through the courier the dispute was eventually settled in my favour. I claimed back the return postage through PayPal 'returns on us' where they pay the postage but not Paint Direct who are quite happy for customers or Pal Pay to pay for their mistakes.

If you have taken the time to read this email I can assure you I could have gone into a lot more detail about just how bad Paint Direct customer service is. It has been stressful and frustrating experience and took me 3 months to resolve . Avoid at all costs.
