I'm Orange Sierra Leone customer my number is 075985645. Orange Sierra Leone is the company that I come across with poorest customer service ever. On the 4th January 2025 around 21:00-23:00 GMT, I put money on orange money account to buy my weekly internet boundle.
I mistakenly enter the wrong password twice and my account was blocked. I called the customer service 111 to explain my problem, I was not helped. The personnel on the line don't not even try to understand my problem with in a minute my call was intensionally dropped the last word from the personnel was some one will call you later.I waited for hours no body call.
After waiting with no response from orange I called again orange customer service another personnel answer me. After all my explanation, the conclusion was I don't understand you and her best solution was to drop the call.
After my call was dropped within five minutes my sim card blocked. I can't even contact them anymore. I was left with no communication service.
On the 6th January 2025, I went to the office at Rawdon Street, Freetown around 9:00 GMT after waiting for about 30 minutes in the office they said the system is down we can't offer any service now. I angrily left the office, in an hour time, return for the second time again to the same orange and the system was still down. What a frustrating day it was. I went out and came back for the third time the system was up and running. That seems like a good news. I'm hoping that my problem will be resolved. If you think that initial problem was worse, wait and see how it ends.
I went to the desk of one of their staff explaining my ordeal, he asked for my id card and the necessary security check was made. He asked me how long I've been using my card which I believe he can see from the system, and said that my sim card was under probation 🙄. I have been using my sim card for the past 3 weeks since I arrived in Sierra Leone for holiday. I don't understand what he's up to. With all the said drama and talks he told me to come back the next day with my unsolved problem.
The personnel are not trained to serve customers. They treat customer as if it is a favor they are offering to clients. They want to talk and treat you any how they wish. Staff don't realized that the customers are paying their organization. You call them on line for their support you won't get the support needed instead they'll block your sim card not to call them anymore. You go t their office there are much more insignificant protocols and neglected treatment given to customers as if a customer is their to beg for their services
If you coming to Sierra Leone hoping that you will get quality communication service from Orange SL like in Europe etc, ready to meet your worst nightmare and frustration. You won't have the service you paying for and if you have any problem, just throw away the Orange sim card.
Don't expect anything better. Getting better service from them is by chance.
