Outstanding experience—wish I’d done it sooner!
​I was incredibly reluctant to get laser eye surgery and spent the last 10 years sitting on the fence. I finally decided to take the leap, and honestly, I cannot recommend Optimax enough! From the reception team to the surgeon, every single member of the staff was amazing. They truly couldn't do enough to ensure I was comfortable, relaxed, and completely stress-free. They guided me thoroughly through every single step, answered all of my questions, and put any concerns I had completely to rest. If you're hesitant like I was, trust me—you are in the best hands with Optimax.
All I can say is that I can see finally so overwhelmed with the results cant believe i have been wearing glasses for most of my life and how stupid of me to not have done it sooner.

I recently had lens replacement surgery at the Cardiff Clinic and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The result has exceeded my expectations and, at the age of 50, I can now see clearly and perfectly for the first time in my life. All the staff are helpful and friendly, putting me at ease and the aftercare has been exceptional.

From first contact the staff at optimax were professional, attentive and extremely helpful. I had previously had initial consultation with another company and chose not to progress. Move forward 2 years and I find Optimax Southampton. My first consultation was in person and I received 1-2-1 attention which was reassuring. I had multiple tests and questions to ensure they had all the information needed to make an informed recommendation for my care. Each individual was knowledgeable in their field and helped answer all my questions and allay any fears. There was no hard sell or pushing for me to follow up and the decision to book my next consultation (with the surgeon) was completely my decision. The meeting was via the telephone and Mr Mousa had clearly already prepared for the meeting as he was able to inform/recommend to me what my surgery would be likely to entail given the discussions I had both with him and previously with advisers at Southampton Optimax. I went into each meeting knowing what to expect and was always well prepped. I was always made to feel welcome to contact at anytime should I have questions before surgery and was truly supported post surgery and once I went home. I can honestly say that Mr Mousa and Optimax have changed my life. My vision following lens replacement surgery is better than I even dared hope. Better than with glasses and definitely better and more comfortable than contact lenses ever were. I just wish I had done it sooner! My family say I look so much happier and even younger now I’m not squinting and scowling from trying to read things I couldn’t see before. I would/do recommend Optimax to anyone considering eye surgery. I can’t thank them enough.

I had an excellent experience with Optimax from start to finish. The entire team was highly professional, friendly, and reassuring throughout the process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and all of my questions and concerns were addressed with patience and care.

The clinic itself was spotless and maintained to the highest standards, which gave me great confidence in the treatment. Initially, I had concerns about having both eyes treated at the same time, so I decided to have one eye done first and returned the following week for the second procedure. The team fully supported my decision and made the process completely stress-free.

The results have been incredible. I now have 20/20 vision, and I honestly wish I had gone ahead with the surgery years ago. It has genuinely changed my life and given me a level of freedom and convenience I didn't realise I was missing.

I had my initial consultation in Brighton where all of the staff were so lovely, honest, and extremely knowledgeable! I was found suitable for LASIK and booked my surgery in the Maidstone clinic due to it being more convenient for my family to pick me up after the surgery. On the day of surgery all of the Maidstone team were amazing! Thank you to Ineta, Aimee & Justina for reassuring me and making the day worry free. My surgeon was Dr Damani, he talked me through the whole process during the surgery and was really reassuring. The surgery itself was only 5 minutes. The vision was slightly hazy afterwards but I could already see certain details better than I could before, and I met driving standard the very next day at my first checkup! I’ve had no issues and since my surgery 3 months ago I haven’t had any headaches caused by eye strain (something I suffered with frequently prior to my eye surgery) and have been able to enjoy the sunshine with some nice non-prescription sunglasses.

I had an amazing experience at the Optimax Finchley Road, London branch. My surgeon, Johnson, was incredibly patient, professional, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. My follow-up appointment the next day with Poonam was excellent, and Asma on reception was so friendly and welcoming. The whole team provided outstanding care and customer service from start to finish. I would highly recommend Optimax Finchley Road to anyone considering treatment.

Let's start with the consultation. Free and at no point did I feel pressured, the staff were amazing and so Informative. When they gave me my quote it was HALF of what I was expecting.....and they offer payment plans! I booked then and there.
The staff were exemplary, when if came to Lazer day I didn't feel nervous at all. The whole procedure takes less than 5 minutes for both eyes and the aftercare was amazing too. I thought after my first week I had a problem, they fitted me in for an emergency appointment that afternoon and gave me extra medication to take down the inflammation. All the aftercare medicine is included. I could see clear as day within 12hours ....I cried a lot! After having glasses my whole life it was mind blowing to see everything in such detail.

6 months on and it's still the best decision I've ever made for my health.

I thought id compare clinics so I went to Optical Express first and then Optimax the week after, expecting the same answers but a better price with Optimax. I was wrong! The appointment with Optimax took so much longer for starters as they were clearly double booked. I felt their tests were sub par compared to Optical express ( for instance the one where you have to keep your eyes open for a good few seconds to check your cornea, was done once per eye, whereas Optical express took 3 separate readings per eye). Then when Optimax came to do the eye test type test, I couldnt read the lines they asked me to read. Rather than just changing the slide, I was told to just give some letters! Like what's the point in that, I was just guessing at this point. When I finished my Optical express test, the last slide was clearly how I would be able to see after the op based on the letters I read etc and it was crystal clear. I couldn't even tell you what the Optimax end result would have been as the testing was terrible. I was then told by optimax they weren't sure if I could have the Lasek as my Cornea might have been too thin, but it would be the surgeons disscreation. I also know my close up vision for my age is near perfect, but Optimax said it would only last 2/3 years, whereas Optical express agreed that its fantastic and my close up vision could last between 5-10 years maybe more (they didnt pretend I wouldnt need reading glasses in the near future). I also felt I was getting a bit of a sales pitch at the end of Optimax appointment, since they had already said I might not be eligible for Lasek I didnt want to pay a deposit, because the other option was ICL and when I asked the price of that, they wouldn't answer. But was still pushed a bit, too pay a deposit. Had none of that from Optical express. Im the biggest penny pincher ever and the 2k lower price point with Optimax normally would have been a sure certain. But when I left the Optimax clinc I felt so deflated and uneasy about the testing ect that was done, I just wasnt confident they could treat my eyes properly as their tests werent as good. Ive now booked in with Optical express to have my surgery at a much higher price range. But I feel alot more confident they can give me the desired results. I think if Optimax had tested my eyes as well as Optical express did then it would be a no brainer and I've gone to optimax, but that didnt happen. And if Optimax's tests were as extensive then I would trust that the Lasek might not be okay for me, but I left Optical express feeling like their tests were so through and their advise on treatment were clear as day, whereas no where near as good at Optmax. Fingers crossed I dont regret it. But some times you get what you pay for and on this occasion, im willing to pay an extra 2k.

I attended my free consultation and from the moment I stepped through the door I was welcomed and looked after. After a thorough consultation going through all the options, I went ahead with LASIK and I have never looked back. After the surgery I could see straight away without my contacts/glasses which was amazing as I have worn them for over 30 years. The surgery was pain free and I was looked after by my surgeon and all the staff. I would highly recommend Optimax Leeds. Thank you to Sophie and all the staff at Optimax.

I had LASIK eye surgery with Optimax. The surgery has been a major success and it is down to the hard work and care of the staff at Optimax. They were clear, caring and informative which helped me recovery and prepare with limited stress.

I had surgery by Mr Damani yesterday the whole process from my first consultation to my surgery day with optimax has been very smooth.
I felt fully informed throughout and during the procedure dr Damani and his team Georgiana, Ineta and Justina . Made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout.

My vision is amazing and it's only day two. Very pleased and have already recommended to others.

Cannot thank dr Damani enough it really has changed my life . I can see clearer now then I could with my glasses.

We both had our eyes done by lens replacement...wow !!it's been life changing.Dr blas was fantastic & humiyo was so thorough,& all the staff are pleasant, caring & make you feel comfortable.

I visited the Leicester clinic and had a very disappointing experience overall. The customer service was poor throughout the process. My appointment was rescheduled twice, and on the day of my consultation I was left waiting for around 3 hours.
Throughout the visit, I did not feel properly supported or reassured. Following my appointment, I also developed an eye infection, which has been extremely concerning and stressful.
I would personally recommend paying more and choosing a clinic with a higher standard of care, organisation, and communication. Unfortunately, I will not be proceeding with treatment there.

After 15 years, I can confidently say that getting LASEK eye surgery was one of the best investments I have ever made for my quality of life. I Had a surgery in Optimax Cardiff, All the staffs are very kindfull and procedures time was very quick. Now I'm Very Happy 😊 without glasses. This is the my life changing moment.

Have done my laser 25th November 2025 from Leeds West Yorkshire. I been advised to get lasek,I been told by Dr.Musa I will be fine in one month, but not first of all it was really painful 3 months I wasn't able to drive due to blury eyes .on after care appointments I been told they might offer 2nd treatment but on next appointment I've seen by Dr Semule he said we don't give warranty to any patient that you will get 20/20 vision and we cannot offer you 2nd treatment due to your eye health, both surgeon's statement were different. After 5 and half months today final after care 14/05/2026 my prescriptionis not high as it was but I still need glasses. I been discharged . Its very disappointed I have paid decent amount for getting rid from glasses and suffered almost 6 months still having blury vision with chronic dry eyes and a piece of advise to wear glasses again.😒
