I was told that my order had shipped for pickup in Seattle; but that it would take 1-2 business days to get there and don’t show up until we send you another email. Never got any email; had to send a message to Customer Service who told me the order was waiting - at 3PM on a Friday when the location closed at 2PM. Luckily the guy from the business next door helped me out and I was able to get my order. I’ve always had good luck with Online Metals, but now that they have moved out of Seattle I will probably find another supplier.

Excellent Service (such a rare thing these days). Ordered a custom-sized piece of expanded sheet metal, that was delivered in one day. There was no additional fee to cut it to the exact size I needed.

I'm an infrequent user of metal materials but needed roughly twenty feet of half-inch brass half-oval for a rowboat I'm building. I noticed Online Metals has a distribution center near me, so hoped to place my order for local pickup. I was shocked when a $350 shipping cost appeared on my order summary. So, I called Customer Service and spoke with CSR Sharrell Bass, who explained that the items I desired to order were not stocked locally near me but were shipped out of Connecticut. She advised me that my shipping cost could be lowered dramatically by ordering lengths less than 8 feet. I gave her my Shopping Cart # and she worked with me to determine that 95" would be the maximum package length UPS would ship at a significantly lower cost of $33.61! This would require custom cutting and she aided me further by ensuring I'd pay the same cost-per-inch as the stock 8' items I'd selected. Accordingly, I advised her I'd need two 95" bars and one 28" bar. Sharrell made the revisions in my cart, I provided payment info, and she placed my order! Thank you, Online Metals!
